I Guess KBS are losing their luster for period drama's as Empress Chun-chu has been trimmed down to 60 episodes from 85 . I just saw the listing on Korean Drama.org and noticed it had only 60 eps as Sejong and Kingdom did not do as well as expected its not surprising . Anyone needing a historical drama fix than check this out www.mysoju.com/fuurin-kazan/its the 2007 Taiga Drama about Yamamoto Kansuke (played by Mifune in the 60's )the crippled one eyed military strategist for the Takeda Clan in the 1540's/50"s . This drama is also Sonny Chiba's farewell to a 40 year career as well as playing one of the 24 Takeda Generals he choreographed all the fighting and battles . Chiba's daughter Juri Mansi (wanna see a girl really fight !!!)plays a female Ninja . Legend Tatsuya Nakadai plays Takeda Shingen's father and vampiric J Pop legend Gackt plays Kagetora the nemesis of the Takeda Clan . watch this you will love this .

Korean Drama.org lists the episode as 60+, because they didn't know how many episodes there would be... There are rumors on Soompi.com that if the ratings stay as high as they are for the first two episodes, it could go from 85 to 100...

Thats weird considering the high ratings of Empress Cheonchu.
1st episode : 20% 2nd episode : 24%
It is the highest rating ever since DJY ended

I think your information is false. I looked up on Korean websites such as Daum and Naver and all of them says that the series will end at 80 episodes. Plus, it was never planned to be 85 episodes in the first place
