Yes Yes Yes I Would have no problem sitting through this all over again . I did start to tape it (yes old fashioned i know )but several of the early episodes had broadcasting problems (Thanks Comcast )so it proved to be impossible . I did use AKJ's great episode guide (boy do they need you on the Kingdom Of The Winds Boards its funny though there seems to be little interest in the actual history over there ,i was going to post a Goguryeo time line but changed my mind because there just seems to be no interest in the real Yuri and Moohyul ) i did record a few episodes that seemed to stand out .
Anyway i could not sit through DJY again only the first 6 and the last 30 episodes would warrant that ,' Chumong only a few stand alone episodes here and there .ditto Dae Jang Geum (i have seen it about three times )and So Don Yo ,IYSS ,Yi San ,Painter in The Wind ,King And I Hwang Jini Emperor /Sea Legend Conspiracy /Court Kingdom /Winds all of these i could watch over and over again .
Conspiracy In The Court

Yes, i would too...i missed a few vital episodes, and there were others where my reception was so bad, i missed the essentials of it (such as the opening ninja scene).
So i would watch it -- IF i could have a clearer picture!
i also would especially like to see older dramas re-run, such as Tears of the Dragon (which would be a "prequel" to Sejong, if you will)

I would certainly watch it again. I reallly enjoy the historical stories, but I have difficulty when there are more than one (recently 3 shows) broadcast at the same time. Part of it is that prior to watching KDramas, I had no knowledge of Korean history (except for the Korean War which took place when I was a young adult). Also, there are so many actors who appear in more than one story that I do confuse them. I have taped most of the shows, but when I can't watch it on time, and try to catch up on all of them later, it becomes a jumble in my mind. I was out of town most of November, and although GPaul was kind enough to record for me, it still was confusing. I am really enjoying Kingdom of the Wind since the other shows we are seeing in Chicago are contemporary programs.
Jewel in the Palace was one of the first shows that I watched and caught it haphazardly. I wasn't smart enough to do any recording then. That's a program that I'd really like to see again. I contemplated buying it, but it is a little (lot??) pricey for me.
When the weather clears up and I can get out to the library, I'm going to try to read Korean history books. The explanations and time lines that some of you are kind enough to print here are certainly a help and have whetted my appetite for more knowledge.
Here's to a good year of Korean TV watching.

I am currently re-watching it to make sure I didn't miss anything and you know what, I realise that I DID miss out on a lot of things. I also understand what's happening in each episode much, much more this second time round.
To think ... Jo Malseng was actually an idealist for a very short time at the beginning ...

I would. What with all the wonderful summaries that ajk gave us, I would have a better understanding who's doing what.
Speaking of Jo Malseng... I' rewatching Winter Sonata and he plays the professor. Such a versatile actor... as so many of them are.

You might try contacting KBS America directly. They have an e-store where you can buy single episodes or entire series on DVD. They don't have GKS listed on their site at the moment, but they might be planning to add it soon. Here's the link: www.kbs-america.com/product/eor_list.phpIf you do check with them, let us know what you find out. Good luck....

I heard Age Of Warriors was coming for the price of a months rent circa 15 years ago . Time to sell the Dog (Just kidding don't have one ) looking at 6 bills for Wang Gunn you would have to go on the installment plan and prey they don't can it before you finished buying it in blocks of 6 episodes for 30 bucks .

Absolutely, this show remains the Gold Standard of KHDs for me, and was one of the best-done TV series I have ever seen. From acting, to writing, to special effects, it is without peer.

I do plan to watch it again...but not too soon. Still too fresh in my mind, and more importantly, other good ones out there to see first.
