I'm going to reference jewel, truth and ummm, would it be MTR? Because they may get a notification of this and be able to translate the name of the book ajk mentions, which is "Neung'eomgyeong eonhae"
They may not get the notification however, so I'll ask my friend Kay if she knows from this romanized spelling.

Y'all in this thread mentioned a novelization of the history of Sejong, with only the final volume having an English translation. I think I came across this book recently. By any chance is this it?

That's not the book, but it's equally rare and spectacular! Park Jong Hwa's King Sejong is what Tears of the Dragon was adapted from! Where'd you find it? Is it available in an online format?

I came across it on Abebooks and no, an online format does not exist as far as I know.
This book was part of the series that Tears of the Dragon was adapted from? That was unexpected.

I came across it on Abebooks and no, an online format does not exist as far as I know. This book was part of the series that Tears of the Dragon was adapted from? That was unexpected. Park Jong Hwa's written a lot of stuff that got adapted into movies/dramas, like: - King Sejong (1969) --> Tears of the Dragon (KBS 1996)
- A Woman's World (1959) --> Ladies of the Palace (1962 movie, 1967 TBC series, 2001 SBS series)
- That Sleeping Cloud (1962) --> The King's Woman (SBS 2003)
- The Bloodstained Jacket (1938) --> Prince Yeonsan (1961), Tyrant Yeonsan (1962), Samogok (TBC 1972)
- Tender Heart (1942) --> Phantom Queen (1967), Shindon (MBC 2005)
His rendition(s?) of Jang Hee Bin are claimed to have been adapted to the 2002 version, but there's contention around that because people also claim Shin Bong Seung wrote the latter half of the 2002 version under the pseudonym Kang Tae Wan, and upon inspection of the book's contents the main character's name and ranks are all wrong...

Wait, King Sejong the novels was adapted into Tears of the Dragon....but Tears of the Dragon covers the foundation of Joseon to Sejong's reign until Yi Bangwon died...
Not to mention the book I'm reading covers the creation of Hangul, which I don't believe Tears covers.
