NENEHave you heard this story yet? Transportation officials in Texas are scrambling to prevent hackers from changing messages on digital road signs after one sign in Austin was altered to read, "Zombies Ahead."
"It was clever, kind of cute, but not what it was intended for," said Lippincott, who saw the sign during his morning commute. "Those signs are deployed for a reason — to improve traffic conditions, let folks know there's a road closure."In the meantime, if you're driving in Austin, you can rest assured: There are no zombies ahead. It is rather funny! When a photograph is not just a photograph. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

jinju, Sorry for the late reply. My PC crashed. It's infected with viruses. We decided to change the operating system from Windows to Linux. I hope it'll work better. Have my fingers crossed, hehe.
Thank you so much for the good news. I'm so happy for both of them. KSW will be like this in a few more months, hehe.
I've heard about KSW's new movie Sad Love Story. Thank you so much for posting the link for me. It looks great. I'm also interested in his new drama Cinderella Man. Have you seen this news yet?
Yoona, Kwon Sang-woo and Han Eun-jung in new drama
Yoona of Girls Generation will star in another MBC drama, “Cinderella Man” with new daddy Kwon Sang-woo and Han Eun-jung (right). Like many Korean dramas, the plot has the regular cast of characters: a rich guy, poor good girl and rich bad girl involved in a love triangle. Kwon Sang-woo will take on 2 roles: the Dong-dae-moon worker “Oh Dae-sun” and third generation Chaebol, “Lee Joon-hee” who have an uncanny resemblance (because they were probably separated at birth). Yoona will play “Suh Yoo-jin,” who is forced to work at Dong-dae-moon to make ends meet after returning from studying fashion in Paris after her father’s death. And Han Eun-jung is the daughter of a large credit company.
Already you can feel the tension.
“Cinderella Man” is expected to air in April after the “Return of Iljimae”
I miss KSW's acting. Can't wait! I'm also excited about the new series Cain & Abel too.
Showing some brotherly love for Cain & Abel
So Ji-sub and Shin Hyun-joon may be cast as competitive brothers embroiled in strife, but they look anything but antagonistic in front of reporters, no?
SBS is about to premiere its new drama, the (long, long-)awaited Cain & Abel, which follows the just-ended Star’s Lover on Wednesdays and Thursdays. (With the big names of A Star’s Lover failing to attract ratings — the Choi Ji-woo and Yoo Ji-tae-led series went out with a disappointing 6.2% — SBS is hoping that this star-studded series will have better luck.)
The high-profile cast was on hand for the drama’s production press conference, which was held in North Chungcheong on the afternoon of February 13. The drama airs its first episode next week, on February 18. Read more here. I also found HXM's pictures and news for you.
XM celebrated Chinese New Year in his Qingdao home with his families. He has prepared 100k of red pocket money in RMB for his families and friends. He especially spent times chatting with his grandparents. His grandparents has longed for great grand son from him. Thus, whenever they read he got a new rumor girlfriend from the news, they would say, "look at this girl, so pretty! Why doesn't he bring this girl home?"
He also joined the gathering of his high school classmates during the new year break. His classmates told the reporters some funny things about XM...he liked drawing comics with a piece scratch paper during class break and threw it to the trash bin after finished...he enjoyed sharpening pencils for the whole class with a small knife...he liked putting mirror and comb inside his notebook and secretly combing his hair or looking at the mirror during the class...he liked reading martial art novel and singing...he carried his sick classmate home with his back ... his teacher recalled one time when she discussed his study with his mother, XM kept holding his mother's hand in that 30-min talk.
Other than friend and family gathering, XM also needed to study Japanese to prepare his upcoming movie, Sound of Wind". He got 6 pages of Japanese script to recite. (XM google groups)
Video of the reporter visiting XM's grand parents' home during Chinese New Year Huang Xiaoming is so cute and very sweet to his grandpa. He's holding his hand through the interview. 现场版双飞@神雕英雄会 Live Shuang Fei @ Huangxiaoming vs Dingdang
I like this song. Very nice. He received huge flower bouguets from his female fans. Very popular. Have you finished rewatching Four Gods yet? I have and I enjoyed it much more than the first time. I love everything about this great series. It's a well crafted drama with a top-notch cast, the beautiful settings and amazing special effects. IMO, it's one of the best Kdramas I've seen so far. Love it! I found some rare pictures and info to share with you. The actors above are real life father and son. I like the compact mirror in this actor's hand. Very cute. Besides BYJ, Park Sung-Woong also got injured while filming Four Gods. When BYJ fought with an enemy and his right forefinger was cut, who came to his rescue? It's Choi Min Soo, hehe. After finishing the final scene, BYJ hugged the director and cried. It must have been a big relief for him after enduring several injuries. Amazing Gifs Photos How do you like Lee Philip's new haircut? Hope you like what I found for you. Enjoy! (credit as labeled) jinju, I'm going to be away for a few weeks. I'll let you know when I come back. I hope KSW jr's pictures will be available for us soon. Wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day!

tinkerbell,Sorry, I didn't reply sooner. I've had computer woes lately. I'm glad it's up and running again, hehe. Thank you so much for those wonderful stories and pictures. They're amazing. I love them all. Have you seen these articles yet? They're very interesting. Calico Café Caters to Cat Cuddlers Craving Kitten Companionship
Living in Tokyo, the world's largest metropolitan area, isn't easy - even more so if you have a pet. Landlords are increasingly restricting pet ownership by tenants in the city's high-demand rental apartments. Even if you can find one that does allow pets, the shockingly small size of Japanese apartments makes pet ownership prohibitive. "My name is Fluffy and I'll be serving you today" The solution? Rent a cat at one of the city's popular new cat cafés! For just 800 yen an hour (about $8), you can get your fix of feline fellowship from - in the case of Calico - one of 19 "staff" kitties Located in the Kichijoji district of western Tokyo, Calico has been a roaring, er, meowing success to the point where reservations are recommended on weekends and holidays.
Once inside, Calico's customers can enjoy drinks, sip on tea and lounge about, catlike, on comfy chairs and cushions. . The latter, embroidered with cute cats, are also available for sale so that café clients can take a little of the Calico experience home with them. Calico is a business first and foremost so a variety of other goodies are also on sale including sweets, cat stickers, even jewelry. Calico's owner, Takafumi Fukui, says that because "In Tokyo, many people are not allowed to have cats [at home] even if they want to do so," having a place like Calico gives pet-lovers a place to unwind in the company of cats.
Not bad for 800 yen "purr" hour... Calico's customers agree: "This is just like having my own cat as a pet at home. They have a soothing effect on me," according to one 22-year-old female college student at her first visit to Calico. Seems it won't be her last! PUSS IN BOOTS (AND HATS AND CAPES AND WIGS AND LITTLE RUFFLED COLLARS) INTERVIEW AND PHOTOS BY TOMOKAZU KOSUGA, TRANSLATED BY LENA OISHI You’ve probably seen Cat Prin: The Tailor of a Cat. It’s a Japanese web-store that sells the most ridiculously adorable cat outfits with names like “Frog Transformation Set,” “Young Lady Blouse,” and “Shawl of a Rabbit.” The site has tons of photos of two little Scottish Folds wearing all these funny getups and staring right at you with dazed expressions. It’s one of those wacky websites that gets emailed around a lot, often with a subject heading like “omg, sooooo cute!” In fact, the girl who does The Cute Show for VBS.TV says that she gets it forwarded to her at least once a day, which is even more than she gets links to catsthatlooklikehitler.com. Read more here. Wow, they're incredibly beautiful. You may choose some cute wigs from the models below too, hehe.
Pets are turning heads in California
Fido on the roof
Dave Caldwell, Staff Writer POSTED: February 11, 2009
In the course of a normal day, the Minot Police Department receives several calls about dogs doing normal dog things getting loose and running around the neighborhood, digging in the garbage or just plain barking.
However, there wasn't much normal about the call that Dick Schnell, animal control officer at the department, handled Tuesday morning.
A caller reported this handsome fellow was doing not only the aforementioned normal things, but climbing on the roof as well.
"Just when you think you've seen it all," Schnell laughed later Tuesday.
Apparently, the snow in the back yard is high enough to where the dog can basically walk right up onto the roof, Schnell said.
The dog seemed perfectly content on the roof of its home, in the 1300 block of 25th Place in northwest Minot. He eventually came down to the lower level of the roof to snack on some treats Schnell tossed up to try and tempt the dog into coming down, but that's as far as the dog went.
The dog's owner was summoned, who eventually returned home and got the dog off the roof. (minotdailynews.com) Wow, he's very clever. He definitely enjoyed the spectacular views up there, hehe.
Jackie to donate houses The Hong Kong star will give away the $100m houses from his collection to Singapore's 4th varsity By cheryl tan
HONG Kong action star Jackie Chan is donating antique wooden houses from China worth more than $100 million to Singapore's upcoming fourth university.
The structures, now sitting in a warehouse in Hong Kong, are from the private collection of gongfu king Chan, a lover of Chinese history.
They consist of seven wooden housing structures and a performing stage originating from the Ming and Qing dynasties dating back more than 200 years. The houses are anchored in stone slabs.
These rare examples of Chinese housing from a bygone era are set to be displayed at the new university's campus in Changi South when it is completed in 2011, according to a story in Lianhe Zaobao yesterday.
The Chinese newspaper also reported Chan's property manager Simon Kwan as saying that the popular star wanted the precious objects to be in safe-keeping.
Chan, 54, had originally approached the Hong Kong government about donating his collection but changed his mind when it did not respond quickly enough, the report said.
He decided on Singapore because his collection would be of educational value to the students seeing it on campus.
Mr Kwan declined to go into details about the project when contacted by Life!.
However, he confirmed that Chan had met local government officials at the site of the upcoming university last year to discuss his intended donation.
The tertiary institution will be built on land originally earmarked for the now-aborted Asian campus of the University of New South Wales and will offer courses in design, engineering, architecture and business.
Mr Kwan, 52, who handles Chan's property deals here, said there should be 'no problem bringing these structures out of China'.
But he added that additional 'paperwork on how to transport these structures and getting a local architect to put them together' has to be done before anything can be finalised.
He also said that the collection, which has 'stones taller than a man, that hold the wooden structures together', had been amassed by antique-lover Chan over nearly 20 years.
His collecting passion was also influenced by his late father, who loved old Chinese wooden houses. Chan's dad, Charlie, died in February last year at the age of 93 after battling cancer.
The star's love of all things historical can be seen in his property purchases here. He owns the 105-year-old Jinriksha Station at 1 Neil Road, once the central depot for rickshaw drivers in Singapore, and the four-storey The 50s complex. Both are historic buildings within the Neil Road conservation area.
He also has contemporary interests, owning condo units in the Orchard Road area, and opened Jackie Chan's Cafe, Coffee and Tea at 1 Nassim Road two years ago.
Life! asked Mr Jeffrey Goh, principal architect at local firm GP Design, about what might be involved in putting Chan's antique houses on display.
His firm has not been approached about the project but Mr Goh said that for such old wooden houses, a lot of work would have to go into conserving doors, walls and pillars which 'might have intricate detailing because of their Chinese origins'.
The 59-year-old has done conservation work on more than 100 houses here in areas of special architectural interest such as Joo Chiat, Geylang, Selegie and North Bridge Road.
Rotting wood would also need to be replaced and this has to blend in with the original structure, he added.
He said: 'The project sounds very interesting and I wouldn't mind taking it up. But I would need to do a lot of research to find out more about these houses first.'
tcheryl@sph.com.sg straitstimes.com There's one more reason to love Jackie Chan. He has the biggest heart and is so selfless and generous. Best of luck!
I hope you like the articles above. Enjoy!
tinkerbell, I'll be away for a while. I hope my computer will work better when I come back, hehe. I'll talk to you soon. Wishing you a sweet Valentine's Day!

BO, I found some bizarre news and funny signs to entertain you.
Woman's record-length fingernails broken in crash
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah woman listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for her long fingernails has lost them in a car crash.
Lee Redmond of Salt Lake City sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident Tuesday, the Deseret News reported.
Redmond's nails, which hadn't been cut since 1979, were broken in the crash. According to the Guinness website, her nails measured a total of more than 28 feet long in 2008, with the longest nail on her right thumb at 2 feet, 11 inches.
Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson says Redmond was ejected from an SUV in the crash and taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Redmond has been featured on TV in episodes of Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley's Believe It or Not. (usatoday.com)
Wow, that's simply amazing! I really admired her for being able to maintain such long fingernails. So sad they're broken.
Have you seen these unusual traffic lights yet?
Here’s the unusual smiley traffic light. Waiting so long? Smile and have a nice day! You can see and smile at the lights in the streets of Cambridge. So for those who think positive Berlin’s authorities, Germany, installed the extra-positive traffic lights. So “love” or “being a star”? This is the typical Copenhagen Bike Traffic Light. It shows “ Red /yellow /green/ bike” Those traffic lights are very cute. Car Thief Drives Stolen Vehicle To Court

The 37-year-old hairstylist from San Francisco was appearing in court charged with stealing a $125,000 Porsche Carrera, but his chosen transport to the courthouse was a stolen Lexus SUV.
Bystanders alerted police after they noticed that several dogs had been left in the car.
Police then conducted a search for the owner and discovered it had been stolen.

NENE How have you been? We missed you. I wasn't sure if you left us or something happened. I'm glad it wasn't either of those. A cat café, how intriguing. You get to experience all the fun and cuddling without having to clean the litter box. Ha ha Whoever came up with that idea was clever.Just like everyone else, I'll say those cat pictures are sooooooo cute. I like the one in the pink and white bonnet the most. The cats are very beautiful. Some of them don't look too happy though. ;D I wonder how long the dogs and cats will keep those wigs on. That's pretty funny. My cat wouldn't wear one of those for more than a few seconds. That dog on the roof looks very content to be up there doesn't he? I'm sure he did enjoy the view or else he would have come down. He's not a little dog either.Very nice story about Jackie. That's a very nice photo of him with his dogs. He is always involved in so many projects isn't he? Moving all that stuff and rebuilding it sounds like quite an undertaking. He does have a big heart. How appropriate for Valentine's Day. His father lived to a ripe old age, I hope Jackie does too. You just gotta love him.Love the pictures of Kim Myung-min and his family! In the one pic his son looks just like him. He's a little cutie. Thanks for all the funny and interesting stories and photos. Talk to you when you get back.

Have you hears this news? Martha Stewart's puppy dies in Pa. kennel blast LEHIGHTON, Pa. – Martha Stewart's chow puppy was one of 17 dogs killed in an accidental propane explosion at an eastern Pennsylvania kennel.
The domestic maven wrote on her blog that she was "deeply saddened" by the death of her dog, Ghengis Khan, in Friday's blast at Pazzazz Pet Boarding, a kennel in the Pocono Mountains that breeds and trains show dogs.
Fifteen dogs were killed in the explosion, and two more died over the weekend.
The kennel was getting a propane delivery when the tank ignited, setting the pens on fire and injuring the driver, Timothy Kleinhagen, of Summit Hill.
Genghis Khan was a grandson of Stewart's previous chow, Paw Paw, which died last April at age 12. Officials have said a spark or static electricity may have started the blaze.[/size] She often had her dogs on her show. What a tragic accident. Some cute pictures:

Nene! I'm sorry, I know I've been "absent" for a bit. Things going on. Anywho, that woman who lost her fingernails, I wonder if she had her seatbelt on. It sounds like she did not, as she was "ejected" from the SUV. I wonder if having them so long made it impossible to fasten the thing? Too bad, as if she had not been thrown out, maybe the nails would not have been broken and she most probably would not have sustained such bad injuries. Ironic, eh.
Love to you all.
