So what is the deal with Lady Jami's Right hand man or commander/bodyguard? Lately it seems like he is not agreeing with alot of the decisons that she is making. And though he might not agree with them, he is loyal to the end. Which is why I don't understand Lady Jami complaining about wishing she had someone that would be willing to sacrifice their life for her. I am almost positive that this man would do that for her. At times I feel like he is secretly in love with her, which is why he puts up with her. I feel kinda bad for him because it seems like she just doesn't recognize him at all or acknowledge the fact that he is ALWAYS there!
I didn't see the beginning episodes when him and Lady Jami started coming on, so not sure if they have some kind of history.

I think Lady Jami's commander is in love with her. But I don't think they have a past history. She just can't or won't see that he loves her.
He can see that she is destroying herself which is why they are disagreeing so much.
Not sure which episode your on, so I won't say much more.

Oh yes, I believe that the Commander is in love Lady Jami. And there is no question that he'd lay down his life for her... which is rather sad because she (in my opinion) really isn't worth it.
When you think about it, the Commander is the closest thing to a friend that Lady Jami has--- she has soldiers under her command.. merchants under her control.. politicians wrapped around her finger.. and many other people in her power, but she does not have one person she can call a friend... except for the Commander. She always confides in him, and notice how he will freely give his advice or voice his concerns: he is all that she's got when it comes to people she can really trust, and yet she takes him for granted. There are times, like when she gives him an order, he says nothing but you can see the sadness in his eyes... I think that he feels grief over her wickedness and wishes she would change, but despite this he would do anything for her.
I have liked the Commander throughout the entire show and I wish that he could have a good end when the series is over, but as long as he is with Lady Jami his fate is sealed: when Bo-Go (Goong-bok) brings her down, the Commander will be dragged down with her.
