I see that we’ve gone almost three whole weeks without a single EOTS post. So, I have to ask: Is anyone in Chicago still watching this?I saw EOTS a few years ago, and although I remember the first 15 or so episodes as being slow-moving (and, arguably, even boring) I thought it picked up nicely by about episode 20, and by episode 30 I was really lovin’ it. And with actor Choi Soo-jung in the lead role, I assumed that all the CSJ fans from “Dae Jo Young” would be enthusiastic EOTS viewers. But, I guess not. So, are there any comments from the Chicago crowd about why EOTS isn’t doing it for you? Just wondering!

Yes, I'm watching it but haven't been doing a lot of posting anywhere - It's sometimes difficult to sit through the 2 hours because it seems that family and/or friends either telephone or come over just at the wrong time But I have found this series to be exciting, well-acted and interesting. I will admit that every so often, it does seem to bog down a bit, but then it gets interesting and I'm involved again. I think a lot of us viewers have the same opinion of this show. We basically LIKE it. ;D

I'm not watching because I don't have access to the local station, but I really, really WANT to watch it! I'm trying to get a copy, but have had no luck so far. (Actually, I'm trying to get someone to let me review it. FREE VIEW! LOL.)

I'm so sorry you can't watch EOS Bo... it is just a wonderfully done drama. Excellent music, cinematography, sexy warriors - what better way to spend 2 hours on a Sunday evening. I just love this drama. The actor who plays the somewhat mild-mannered Hwang Hee in King Sejong plays such a cynical role in EOS. The story line gets more twisted each week. The historical dramas are SO worth watching. So Mikey, I'm glad you posted your comments today. My 40-something y/o son Rob is in the army reserves and he called me this afternoon. His Reserve Troop is going to do their training in March 2009 in KOREA! I asked him if I could join the reserves for maybe 30 days. He was very excited to tell me about this and I'm just so pleased for him. I digress ... EOS is right up there with IYSS and Dae Jang Geum and DJY. I know there are faults with them, but for passing valuable time, they can't be beat.

Yes, i have been totally enjoying EOTS and am not a huge fan of the historical dramas. the 2 strong female leads in their cat & mouse game - What will the dastardly Lady Jami do next to upset our sweet Lady Junghwa (who apparently has lungs of steel! btw) and her band of merry men?

Do they make you go to boot camp if you just join to visit Korea, Kath? LOL. You could fall back on the old, "But I once broke my leg..." gambit. (Maybe your son can send you gifties.)

I watched the whole series on the net this summer, but I've been afraid to post here, becuse I don't know how far along you are in Chicago and I don't want to spoil anyone. I loved everything about this show except the love story; I thought it was fast-paced and exciting. Very different (at least the first half) from the usual historical dramas. TheBo- you too can watch this on the web. The episodes (with English subtitles) can be found on Youtube, Vodpod, and Dailymotion. The only problem is the wide screen has been compressed so everyone looks a little taller and thinner than they really are. If any of you who have already seen the series want to discuss it, I guess we could start a new thread, but warning that it may have spoilers.

I've been watching this drama every week and I love it!!! Its just that I don't have alot of time to post comments like I use to when I worked in an office. Now I'm always running around, driving here, driving there. But anyways, I'm really enjoying EOS and its the only k drama that I'm watching.
I always get a kick out of Lady Jami's new hairstyles. ;D

There is s SPOILER thread in this forum; you can post any spoilers there Many people like to know what's going to happen in future episodes so they can make sure to either watch it or record it - or they're just impatient LOL - no matter. I'm sure a lot of folks would appreciate you posting some spoilers in the Spoiler thread - no worry about what episode number etc. Your input would be appreciated.

I watch it and also have taped the entire series. (except for 1 Sunday in June when I was in Calilfornia and my town had a power outage). It's really enjoyable, but the women just don't add up to "wife" and Chulin in DJY. I sometimes get confused between the historical shows on now, but it doesn't take long to straighten my thoughts out.
For instance tonight, in Chulwu the Mighty, the beginning spoke of the Crown Prince having died apparently from malaria. My mind went to the Crown Prince in KS and it took me a moment to remember what story I was watching.
Bo, if there's some way you could get them, I'd be happy to let you borrow the tapes.

Teacher, you are very generous and kind. However, I've actually already got Hur June and White Tower on my viewing plate, so I was just moaning and should not have been. One of the nice things about watching the show on broadcast TV is it's paced out for you, you don't have piles of episodes burning a hole in the top of your DVD or tape player. (At least, I usually don't let them pile up.)
I'll stop moaning now. But it does sound like a marvelous show, I will either have to check it out from MT Landis's library or take mugwump's good suggestion. (A little taller and thinner than they really are--is there anyway we can all be viewed via Youtube?)
