Even though it is unrealistic that everyone lives at home, I guess they have to do it so there can be more interacion between the characters. I cant believe that Hosae who is rich, single and has another apartment still lives at home. With a nut job for a Mom and a materialistic flake for a sis, I would be out of there in a heartbeat!!

She is such a flake, and apparently he has difficulty earning money, so how will they be able to afford living on their own. I think she will probably try to convince her mother to bankroll them. Wifey seems like the most immature character on the show. She really should grow up.

From these k-dramas, it seems most of the adult children live at home until they get married, and then the married couple lives with the groom's family. I wonder if that is really so in Korea....

Actually that is how it is in Korea. It's not uncommon for a 28 year old to live at home. I guess that seems strange to most people ^^.

It wouldn't be so strange if everyone had a decent relationship, but if they don't fundamentally like each other, why the added stress? It seems like it's an insult to live on your own when you get married.

We have to remember we are watching a KOREAN story. Therefore, the Korean culture is integral to the story. One of my Korean friends explained to me that depending upon how much room there was in the house, upon marriage, the sons and wives would live with his family. The eldest son would continue to live with his family but the others were allowed to move into their own place after one year. At least in the area where he was raised, that's the way it was. He said in Seoul, due to the apartments not being overly large, many couples would live on their own after the marriage. Many rural families here in the USA also had adult married children living in the family home. No one thought it was wrong or strange. In fact, in some areas that is still the way people live. The differences between people are what makes us interesting, don't you think so? ;D
