Of course, but it not that conspicious. All dramas does it, but its changed around quite a bit its not spot on.

It bothers me that although this is a K-drama "FAN" board, it has become so negative, not only for this story, but others also.
For me, if I don't like a story, (Dead Upset) I just don't watch it. I wouldn't care to see it only to complain about it. I'm sure everyone has an off button on their TV or remote.
Happy viewing!!!

I too don't enjoy Mom's Dead Upset. It doesn't interest me at all. The oldest sister has to deal with the crazy ex wife and the little girl has a bad attitude. The youngest sister's mother in law is just like Hosae's mom. Evil, and mean.

Hi Teacher I hear you..you hit the nail on the head. All the negativity going around can be quite depressing reading. I enjoy watching ''YOU ARE MY DESTINY' .Rather than getting worked up over the annoying characters(I must admit to getting irrationally irritated by some of the L o N characters BUT lesson learnt!! ;D),I spend my time enjoying the positive stuff in it like Sae Byuk who is an optimistic soul.I look forward to all her future success.Dae Jin(who's my ''bestfriend's Dad'' from''Oh Pilseung...")is great guy, his sons and Dae Gu are okay too.I find it fun to watch dramas by DWELLING on all the good and happy people and their moments. The ''bad'' people are there just to enhance the good ones.....Alas,a bit like good ol' life and its tests! Peace to all....just my two cents Pilseung

I personally like this drama. ;D I don't understand why a lot of people don't really like it. It's just like every other drama, bad vs good, mean vs nice, rich vs poor... a lot of cute guys and a lot of mean people of course to spice it up a little. I get upset at certain characters and even blurt out some bad words every now and then when I can't stand a situation but let's face it, it wouldn't be Kdrama if everyone was nice and they all respected each other. EDITED TO REMOVE SPOILERS. ---Lucy

You know this drama is at least somewhat OK, because we're on these boards talking about them as though they were real people. I mean, you're supposed to not like the people who aren't nice. The writers are doing their jobs well if we're talking. As far as the sets are concerned, I am just curious if in Korea, they have no closets built into the bedrooms. For some reason, everytime I see a bedroom scene , I think, OMG, would I be able to fit all my stuff in those store bought closets?

The writers are doing their jobs well if we're talking. Good point! How do they ever move those big closets? Some of them are pretty tall. I guess I just wouldn't have so much stuff if I were in one of those shows. (I don't know if the dramas show real life.) Do they have rental storage units in Korea?

;D When this show first started, I tried to get "into" it but didn't like it very much. However, watching a daily drama around 6:00 pm is such a habit, that after watching a few more weeks, now I am changing my mind and have to say it's not that bad. I still think some of the story line is a bit weak but Cornea Girl has now blossomed into a real person who can stand up for herself without being nasty. I find that I like her a lot. Hosea needs a bit more starch in his backbone to shove mommy away along with that nasty Subin . .. time will tell ' One of my favorite actors Lee Pilmo makes his scenes worth watching . . . okay -so maybe I judged this one too soon and too harshly - I think that I might have gotten it mixed up with MDU, which still leaves me cold and not worrying about watching it on Fri/Sat.

My sentiments, exactly, Soapygrams, but it didn't take me long to get into Destiny.

I am an addict, and for sure I watch it everyday. I just think some of the story is just outlandish, and that's what I don't like. But, overall, I love the woman who plays the officials wife -- she cracks me up. And I also really like Taepung's character, and just with the other dramas, these actors are 1st rate as far as I am concerned.

I think frankly Taepoong is cute and most noble to his love Saebyuk .. {{SPOILERS REMOVED--Lucy.}} Anyway, I want to share with you guys - the actor who portrays Taepoong is Lee Jee Hoon, my most love idol ... hehe ... he's a very talented man who not only sings and acts but a multi-tainer! He is presently a very outstanding figure in Korea with the World Version Musical Hamlet! Here are some of his most recent lovely pics : cheers! Oh! BTW, I just finished watching YAMD episode 103 (aired on 26 Sep) with english translations ... haha ... and the last epi should be 120 ... not many more to go! ;D

He was also in Wonderful Life, and played a completely different character!

He was also in Wonderful Life, and played a completely different character! Hi! door60, you are correct again but that was with Kim YooJin in 2005. He also acted in "Hello! Miss" with Lee DaHae in 2007. There are other dramas too. dear lucy, my apologies - I got carried away ... sorrrry ...

There was a short write-up for this drama : "The KBS 1TV daily drama "You are My Destiny" reached viewer ratings of 30% for the first time. According to the TV ratings research company AGB Nielson Media Research, "You are My Destiny" recorded national ratings of 31.6% on August 5th. The drama began airing on May 5th at 24.8%, but its ratings had fallen into the 10% range since then. The previous drama which had aired in the same time slot, "I Hate You, But I Don't," ended with ratings of 40%. Although "You are My Destiny" started out with much lower ratings, it is showing a promising catch up to the previous shows." It seemed that it's really catching up on viewer rates. But there are some parts of the show find a bit 'draggy' and predictable ... I hate those parts especially with that soobin's mom (her decibels really deafening - I really hate her) ... there are many 'loopholes' too ... but towards the later episodes ... promises more indepth story ... you will want to know what's going to happen next ...
