HELP!!! I’m ashamed to ask this, did anyone watch Emperor of the Sea today?
I was watching on and off (more on than off ) up until Goong Bok was escaping from the bandits on a horse and when I returned the bandits were telling Yeom Jang that Goong had escaped but not to worry they hit him with an arrow and there was no way he would survive in the desert. Now everyone believes that he was killed by the bandits.
However, in the previews for next week, they’re showing him fighting with one of Lady J’s men and with his face covered he’s roaming the city at night?
Can anyone tell me what I missed? Did someone find him in the desert and help him to recover?
Thank you for any information you can offer.

We too, are in the dark. As far as we know, he fell off of his horse and was lying in the sand. Scene switched away from the desert. Apparently he survived since they did show those previews. We just have to wait and see..

What teacher said...I'm watching it again now, but everyone thinks Bo-Go is dead... It's funny, when the guy whipped out his sword and ordered the soldiers to shoot arrows at Bo-Go, the blade flopped back and forth like a singing trout on a rednecks wall...

That was an example of very poor choice by whoever does the edits. We do know that he survives, otherwise there would be no Emperor of the Sea. The question is how could he survive the arrow and the desert? My guess is that he somehow makes it to Tibet, is able to buy what he came for and save the company. (This is not a spoiler, it is just my guess) We will find out next week what happens, I know that I will not miss it.

I was kinda po'd at Master Sul's daughter. Did it really take being anchored for 5 days before she got well? Seems like they could have sailed during the day and anchored at night and had time for her to recover and beat Jang Yeom.

zorro - You have a very vivid imagination. You’ve never been sea sick have you? I have (on more than one occasion) and it doesn’t matter day or night if that boat is moving you’re sick. Still, you have a very good point; with them being advance in curing most illness, I’m surprise no one had an herbal remedy for sea sickness (like giving her ginger). I imagine the writers couldn’t come up with that. Sometimes I wonder what the writers, producers and directors are thinking when they let these dramas proceed in this manner. I guess I expect too much from them.

I had the impression she was sick with something other than seasickness, but they never explained. She must have been used to sailing if she's in a merchant group. I wonder if Yum Moon really has the rights from the Tibetian governor or if this is a ploy by Goong-bok. It would be great if they walked into Tibet and found out the letter was a forgery and Goong-bok was standing there laughing. Alas, more likely, the letter is genuine and Sul's group is in even deeper financial distress. I'm confident Goong-bok will find a way to even the score eventuslly. And speaking of scores, I'm so tired of the piano music and the violin music and the singing every time the show has to remind us that Goongbok loves Jung-hwa, Yum Moon loves Jung-hwa and Jung-hwa loves Goongbok. Enough already! And could Goongbok please get someone to groom his hair? Whay does every man on the show have beautiful hair except him? Why is his still so ratty? Other than those beefs, I'm really enjoying the show. We have King Sejong here in Philly, but it's so slow compared to DJY. So I'm filling in by watching Emperor of the Sea on the net.

I am so glad you mentioned that ratty hair. I've been thinking the same thing - how come his brother's hair, just as long, looks okay even after all the battle scenes etc. but our hero looks like he never saw a brush or comb? Is that on purpose to add something to his character? Unfortunately, in my opinion it detracts rather than enhances his character because it's distracting LOL - minor point I know but I'm glad to hear someone else mention it - it's not just me that it sort of irritates.

Tonight, at least, his hair looked as though it has been washed and brushed or combed through. He would look so much better with it pulled back into a ponytail, or if it's to be loose, at least hanging away from his face.
