On Saturday night's episode (7/5), some people called others "jerk." Can any Korean-speaker tell me the word for jerk, please? It's a word I use often, usually while driving, and it would be handy to know.

Do you know what it sounded like? If you can approximate it, I can look it up.

On another show, Likable or Not, they used a word that was translated as "jerk," so, thinking of you, pip, I rewound the tape and listened more closely. It was something that started with "nappeun," which means "bad." It wasn't nappeun namja (bad guy); it might have been nappeun goht (bad thing). I'll keep listening!

..., I rewound the tape ... So I'm not the only one taping this show... I read somewhere on the Philly board that this show got extended, pushing back the start of the Lee Tae Ran drama following it ... LINK

Thanks, Lucy! Now you'll think of me whenever you hear someone say, "jerk." No, seriously, thank you.

Duk-man, your link does not seem to go anywhere. I tried to look at the original in your link, but I can't figure it out.
In any case, if there's another Lee Tae-ran vehicle in the offing, that's good.

That link is to the Lee Tae Ran thread on the Philly board, which seems to be having some technical difficulties right now...
They show the name of the new drama, and a couple of pics of the stars...

One of my real-life chums who reads this board but doesn't post commented to me that she thinks the phrase is "nappeun nom," "bad boy/guy/person." I don't remember hearing the word "nom" before so I can't comment on its translation. But whatever the phrase means literally, I guess "jerk" is the way they translate it. You're welcome, pip, and thanks to you, CB.
