I've been hearing the same sing-song from the brother of Jung-hwa, the "Young Miss", for several episodes now and it's really grating on my nerves. I don't doubt that he loves his sister and wishes to protect her and all, but from early on in this series all I've heard from him is "Please, this is my chance to... it will give me an opportunity to... this is what I want so..." Yes, yes, I know... to restore the noble family name, etc, etc, and all that rubbish. I'm tired of hearing this guy's excuses. Never once does he ask his sister what's on her mind, he just continuously asks/tells her to do things--- for him... "and the family". RIGHT. And now, although Jung-hwa promised never to see Goong-bok again, he decides to murder him with asassins, no less--- and three of them! This guy never ceases to amaze me. I know he wants to protect his position but isn't he getting a little "hyper" over it? I'm tired of his I, Me, and Myself attitude. Aigu! Am I imagining this or has anyone else noticed this too?

Yes He is only really concerned with himself and his own position. He evidently isn't hero material so he has to rely on political favor in order to succeed. His sister, on the other hand, is much stronger and smarter than him. His whining to her about everything is disgusting to me - he's a young man, can't he take care of his business without relying on his sister to obtain favors for him? What a totally weak character; without his sister he wouldn't even be in Lady Jami's "army" - I truly abhor his weak character and total lack of caring about his sister - did he even make any attempt to get her released from jail? What a whiny little boy - UGH!

What a jerk of a brother. Shouldn't he be protecting his sister's honor? Who cares if she has to be somebody's mistress as long as he gets where he wants to be.

Okay, I paid attention this week, and you're right, he's totally self centered. He tried to have GB assassinated! Doesn't he know his sister has feelings? And/or does he even care? I think not, although it looks like he won't be trying to kill Goong Bok again since Lady Jami found out about the botched attempt and ordered him to lay off. I thought Joong Dal, the slave trade foreman who sent GB and JY to the rock castle to die was the worst guy in this drama, but this guy is right up there with him.

HE'S the one who tried to have GB assassinated?? Oh, boy, I mixed them up again. I thought it was the jealous merchant who works with Lee. aigu.
