Among other difficulties with our local Korean station (28 in San Jose), the subtitles have been missing from several episodes. In one of the recent ones, Ui Min returned to the capital in the wake of Ui Bang's assassination. General Du also returned. There is a key meeting between General Du and the Chief Convoy, Dae Seung. For those of you who had subtitles on this episode, I am very curious to know what they talked about. I sort of gathered from their body language that Dae Seung told General Du to leave things in the capital to him, but I'm not sure. This is a pretty key meeting because these are the two most "prinicpled" of the players. Also, I figure that in this meaning lies the answer to just whom Du was worried about when he decided to return to the capital. He had mentioned in the earlier episode that he had to protect the royal family from a serious threat. Was it Ui Min he had in mind? His reaction upon meeting later would suggest otherwise. Was it Chung Jung Bu and Kyun? Perhaps. In any case, I figured there might have been some clues in the Dae Seung-General Du conversation.
The other key moment that begged for subtitles was when Master Duell once again looks to the stars. What did he see? Another star rising? Or another star waning?

Maybe someone with a better memory can help us out but as far as the Master Monk looking into the sky... As he's gazing up he sees trouble. You think he's referring to something happening to Yi Ui-Min, but after that scene the monk goes to visit a dying man. The dying man asks the monk to look after his son-Yi UiMin. Evidently, the humble salt merchant that Ui-MIn thought was his father was not his real father. If I'm thinking of the right episode, the conversation between Gen Du and the Chief Convoy included Gen Du telling convoy that he must let go of all his personal ambitions and let the politicians worry about the "Great Cause" (or whatever it's called) Can someone else fill in the glaring blanks I left? (Gotta get some Ginkgo )

Thanks for the update. That explanation makes a lot of sense based on the events and interactions that follow particularly in the episode that just ran last night (#55, here on10/31/03--yes the SF Bay area is Waaaay behind some other folks out there).

Wako, I'm in New York, so i guess I am a little ahead of the rest of your guys. Eyego was right about what Du discussed with young Seung. In addition, Du said he was worried about Ui-Min, and objects to the military counsel wanting to kill him. Furthermore, he told Seung that although he despises Ui-Min murderous ways, he does not hate Ui-Min. Such a remark was brought on when Seung told Du that he either dislikes or hates his father because he sucks up to the rest of the counsel, therefore, sacrificing true righteousness and honor, which are displayed within Du and Seung. I could say more but I don't want to be a spoiler. ;D
