Yes but Sua and Danpung look like they'll break in 2 if the wind is too strong. I like chicken dance's figure and size, Sonya too.

I hate to say it, brooklyn, but I think Chickendance is just the right size too. Most of the other females are too thin. 10-12 is a fine size, PPB, but these chicks are a 2 or a 3, I'm guessing. Except maybe Miae who has some curves.
Does anyone know the standard of Korean female beauty? Here, it seems to be slender and toned with discernable boobs. In North Africa and Italy, where my parents come from, plumpness is prized but not fat. (Or am I generalizing?)
I remember Michill in The Chill Sisters. She was supposed to be the fox with a to-die-for figure but the actress resembled a twelve year old girl!

I thought Danpung looks okay. A bit on the skinny side, but healthy and fit. We see her with boundless energy dashing about, packing stuff, heaving boxes, etc.
It's Mi-ae who would expire if she has to lift a finger to do work!

As for Mi-ae, she bruns off all of her energy beating the snot out of people. Besides, ever see her do Yoga?

Pups, it's true, whenever I travelled to Africa the tribal women always would ask our interpreter if I could give them a baby. It seems, weight is a sign of wealth (which I am neither wealthy or fat although I am a little plump). Sad to think that if you are able to eat they see it as a strong attribute.

It may be relative to diet and exercise. An Asian diet (including products from Bonjour Foods, to stay on topic) along with more exercise, especially carrying people to the hospital on their backs, is bound to keep people thinner than the American diet, which is one of convenience and excess.
Many of the Koreans featured on the six o'clock human interest show are advanced in years, but still thin due to their diet and occupations. Japanese have the highest number of people living to and over 100 years. The most popular explanation is their diet.
Many Americans drive everywhere, sometimes eating as they do, and if they aren't driving, they're riding in a golf cart, or sitting at their desks with their blank computer screen stares most of the day. Not everyone, of course, but enough to have the fattest state in the U.S. change locations from year to year, and no, those people aren't moving that often, if at all. Obesity, especially in children, has become a real problem.
Most of the characters on LON look average to me, although Danpung, as already mentioned by someone else, did look very skinny when she appeared in Summer Scent. And Sua does strike me as thin, but I took her to be the example of never being too rich or too thin, just like Nicole Richie. And remember they're actors… usually more attractive and physically fit than the rest of us.
As long as people are healthy and comfortable at their height/weight proportions, they shouldn't obsess about it. It's the extremes either way that need attention.

I thought you would all enjoy this. For lunch we went for Korean BBQ on 32nd ST (NYC) a few blocks from where I work. We dined on pork belly, Ox tongue, beef and some fish they brought out with the head still on, maybe a Mackerel? (the fish was the managers treat). We had an assorment of dipping sauce, Kimchi, Onions, Garlic, pickled cucumbers some orange spicy dried fish thing, and some stuff that was good, hot with the texture of lumpy jelly, but can't begin to tell you what it was. Not the first time I had Korean, but the first time I had pork belly since they ate it on the show. LOL!!! Man you Korean folks know how to eat!!!
PS-I am still plump.

I read in a Mayo Journal that Kimchi is good for people with cholesterol problem. It can help reduce high cholesterol.

They sell kimchi in the supermarket here in jars but somebody said in another post that the manufactured stuff stinks and you really need to taste homemade to get the right idea. I thik I'll take a ride to 32nd St, gworks, to try out the real stuff.
And altho zorro is right about the,"as long as you're healthy" stuff, it's hard to go against the cultural norm. Even Queen Latifah is taking $$ from Jenny Craig, I think, to shed her excess weight.

As a celebrity she gets paid to lose weight. Advertising and PR for Jenny Craig. Everyone else has to pay to lose weight. My friend's daughter joined weight watchers and after almost a year finally got her weight back down to pre children level. But only a few months later when I talked to him next, she had gained it all back again. We'll see if Queen, Kirsty, and Valerie have better luck. And how did Nicole Richie ever gain enough weight to have a baby?? This reply has nothing to do with but does mention "Bonjour Foods" right now to stay OT.

Let's pick apart the men's physiques now. Seonjae is too skinny, and getting skinnier. It makes his face even more evil looking. Or should we do this in another, non-BONJOUR Foods-related thread?

Ooo, let's do it now, Lucy!
Seonjae is getting thinner and more mean-looking by the minute. His cheekbones stick out and his eyes sink in. Sometimes it looks like he has a vampire thing going on.
I wonder if it's acting or maybe the actor is ill or under stress. It sure works for his character.
