I've seen the Shingijeon-Hwacha in action in a few dramas and movies and it's awesome to say the least. tinkerbell,It must be horrifying for them to get shot with a bunch of arrows. I really admired King Sejong and his scientists for developing this amazing weapon. I found a cute mini hwacha for you. ;D Recreating of Korean Hwacha I was also fascinated by its effectiveness. According to civilization.org, "The best-known use of hwacha historically was during the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592-98. The Japanese samurai typically advanced in dense groups-easy targets for the hwacha. At the Battle of Haengiu, 3,400 Koreans were able to defeat 30,000 Japanese with the help of 40 hwacha". That's simply incredible! Read the article here: credits: civilization.org, authors.history-forum.com

No doubt it would be a horrifying experience that you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end. Of course I'm very familiar with the dates 1592-1598 ( Yi Soon Shin ) and the Japanese invasion. I like the mini hwacha, it has very nice detail. Thanks

tinkerbellYou're welcome. I just visited The Immortal Yi Soon Shin thread here and I found this picture: Kim Myung Min looks so fine. Based on what I read here and at other fan sites, they seemed to agree that IYSS is one of the best K-dramas of all time. Admiral Yi Soon Shin himself is also renowned in the world history for defeating the huge Japanese fleet and his brilliance. From Welcome to PaperMagic: "It is said that Admiral Yamato, who overwhelmed the world when he was praised to be as great as Admiral Yi Soon Shin: "I am willing to accept comparison with England's Admiral Nelson; however, I fall short to the great achievements of Admiral Yi Soon Shin." That's impressive! Read the complete articles below: Now, I know why he's one of the greatest Korean heroes. This is one of the reasons why I should watch this great drama. I like your avatar.

I thought I might violate the board rules again if I discussed The Immortal Yi Soon Shin here. Thank you for recommending this great series to me. So far I've seen a few episodes and loved it. ;D
