Yeah seven stars, don't they use those eye exercises for lazy eye? Have you ever been to Daeton, Ohio U.S.M.? I hear it's well built with indoor plumbing. Thanks for the laughs, you guys made my day. ;D

Why do these guys keep LOSING!? Starved and hanging in the square, drinking poison, human hunt; it never ends. I know we're supposed to see them suffer so their triumphs are all the more amazing, but come on. I was sooo happy when Bu Kiwon and Sa Bugu got iced. We're at Ep 75/76 this week and our heroes can't seem to catch a break.

These series of events do get monotonous but things will change. I know, not soon enough. Apparently this is filler to extend the series.

Puppy, you know I've only ever been to the bronx once. I've heard so many things about it that I'm scared. Also, thanks seven stars!
Thanks so much for keeping up this thread everyone. I was down and out and missed last saturday's ep and I only caught the ending of sunday's where Joyoung was excited for Li Wen to fall into his ambush plot. So many trials and so many failures, I won't get gladbagged over this latest one, cause I know somehow it's gonna fail in a way lol.

Puppy,
It sure took a long time for Dae Joyoung to catch up with Bu and Sa didn't it. I began to think that those two would go on forever.

Brooklyn,
Bronx isn't that bad. In fact, my impression is that it's a bit quieter than brooklyn... the place not the person.;-)

hi everyone. nice to see some of the old gang. one thing i am having trouble with is the one dimensional portrayal of DJY. it is disturbing to me that the character is only shown as long-suffering and highly ethical and moral. he doesn't seem to stumble the way the rest of us human beings do. he never laughs, or even smiles....and yes i realize he has little to laugh or smile about, still there could/should be a moment here and there. the other thing i have noticed is the lack of narration...i think this means that there is little actual true historical fact in the series, at least to this point. (perhaps the real DJY did occasionally crack a smile or want to do something bad) and while i am complaining let me add that i am not all that enthused with DJY altogether. there is no charisma. now, as for charisma....some of the other characters/actors are just wonderful. top of that list for me (and i don't want anyone to faint from surprise, so be warned) is my beloved archfiend (aka xue rengui)...that man has it all. he is witty and charming, strong and loyal. not the smartest of leaders, but mostly surrounds himself with smart and capable men. he is colorful (and i don't just mean the fan). i also like gulsabiwu, sudol, the princess and the king (names escape me right now). i like chullin and even respect li kaigu. when i see li wen, for some inexplicable reason, i think of klingons. this, of course, has to go all the way back to the original series (star trek for the deprived). this guy would make a great, original klingon. anyway, i guess i should stop for now, as i have bored you people enough for one posting.

Yes! He's so humorless-he'd be a great Klingon! Just imagine him being squeaked at by dozens of Tribbles. ;D

Well luv, he may be humorless and lacking in charisma but you have to admit the man can take a licking and keep on ticking. Maybe he'll smile when he beats the Klingon. Probably not.

DJY does get mighty angry and he cries a lot, too. I thought the actor wooden at first but now I really respect the way he holds up his end even in the midst of such die-hard (wonderful) hams like Rengui and Dae Jungsang.
Last nite, DJY teared up while eating the rice ball his dad saved for him. I gotta admit, I was touched.
And brooklyn, my darling fellow-New Yorker, all boroughs wax and wane. I used to be afraid of the Brooklyn waterfront and now I can't even afford to eat there, forget about renting an apartment. Take the subway to Pelham Bay and the # 12 bus to Orchard Beach. It's a gas in summer and like Old Cape Cod in the winter. City Island's a gem and you can't buy more kinds of goods cheaper than along 149th Street. And what about the sazeech on Arthur Ave and the knish's on Lydig? I live and work part-time out of the woods of NE PA where right now there's nothing but bleak mountains and snow; no Chinese delivery, no Sunday-morning NY Times and fresh bagels, no potholes. It's beautiful, yes, but I miss the buzz and run back to it whenever I can.

Capture Li Wen -- no smile Reunite with dad -- no smile Eat rice ball -- cry Get cushy job -- grimace Reunite with princes -- no smile Not a happy go lucky guy.
I did like Chullin's smile when Li Xian was taken away.

I did like Chullin's smile when Li Xian was taken away. you would think that the capture of li wen would, at the very least, get some sort of favorable, positive, pleased response. but, no. our DJY is beyond stoic.
