This grouping of Geumlan, Gulsabiwu and Mimosa was a traingle that never happened. I thought it was interesting that Geumlan said to Mimosa that she could never get him to think of her as a woman---that was the closest thing to a declaration of love to any man that Geumlan made. And Mimosa's reaction? Nothing! In his mind he performs some kind of smarmy brush-off by saying that Geumlan didn't know her own mind! Talk about patronizing. Ahh, the all seeing, all knowing Mimosa. I think that there was a part of Geumlan that loved both men at the same time. The way she died, with all of the arrows in her back. How sad! And Biwu, totally unaware that she had passed away, hauling her through the wood, exhausted. Especially poignant was his telling her that she was going to be his bride. Sad all around.

Mimosa aggrivates me to no end-- like you said, Geumlan practically said "I love you", and all he does is blink and think "Ah, Guemlan... you still don't know your own heart." Yeah, and you do, bub? Also, Mimosa had told Gulsabiwu "You're her (Guemlan's) master now." And yet, he had no problem giving her orders that conflicted with 'biwu's own orders. Talk about a case of an oversized ego!

Didn't Mimosa raise Geumlan like a daughter?
if so, it would be knda creepy if he took her as a lover.
And he smiled faintly when she went off to be with Biwu in one scene (in 127 i think? Maybe 128-- they're a blur!)
Mimosa seems to have always been about what he thought was right...if he had to sneak around his own "master", DJY, he would.
And due to Mimosa's orders, Chulin & Geom were saved, weren't they?

Yeah Mimosa views her as a little sister. That's why he gave her to Gulsabiwu like an older brother or father would. I don't think he has any romantic interest in her. If he had, they would have been together a long time ago before Mimosa meets Dae Joyoung again to form the Dongmyoungchun League with King Bojang.

Mimosa always strikes me as the type that isn't into romance/women. Business before pleasure, so it'll be weird to see him involved with anyone.

I believe Mimosa saved her from death when she ws little and she's eternally grateful but I never thought she cared for him in a non-daughterly way, nor he for her. He looks young in the series, as young as she and Biwu. Maybe the writers intended a triangle they declined to develop. (There are a few undeveloped story lines in DJY.) These plots can be very fluid.

It seems like none of the recent series, after Wang Guhn, have really tried to age their actors, unfortunately...so you can't tell how old they may be. (Whereas, in Emperor Wang Guhn, you could definitely get a sense of different eras from the grey on their beards!)
Puppy -- you maybe right -- the writers might have wanted something in their back pocket, but ultimately decided against it...
