Episode 171 SA calls her mother and DJ starts crying and tells her it will all be okay. Granny comes and sees them together. BH tells her to call often and to do well. SA asks BH to take care of Granny, her dad, and her “mother.?BH shows surprise and says did you call my mom "mother" and SA says why do you call her “your mother.? [Translated by Uni33@soompi.com] I watched this scene a couple of times, even in slow mo and share the doubt some viewers have that Sua actually called Dongji "mother". In the first scene, she seemed to be crying for her mother. And in the second, she told Baekho to take care of step-mom (not 'mother'). I think Sonjerk gets away with too much too easily. Sitting in jail, he realizes that he loves Sua?! I can accept that he realizes that he fell out of love with Jiyeong and turned to her each time things got bad for him out of habit, but fall in love with Sua??!! This is really stretching it for me. And its too convenient and too pat an ending. Sonjerk truly loves Sua! We all know the selfish princess in her own way did marry him because she loved him so of course she takes him back. Wow, he still has a place in the family ... and in Bonjour?! I hate the ending already!

Did anybody else feel bad watching Jong-sun cry? I felt bad. The actress Kim Hye-ok is amazing! Did you see her performance in 'Daughters-in-Law'? What a complete difference! She never smiled in that drama, or maybe she did, but it wasn't nice....she was so mean and cruel. I first saw Kim Hye-ok in 'The Bizarre Bunch.' I saw some of the NGs on YouTube as well as some others and the actress in real life seems very friendly and kind.
I saw a preview for the next episode on the KBS website to see the 2-year flash forward. I did see a part where Sua and Seon-jae were together again and they shared a hug. Maybe they will work things out and get back together?
That will be great if both Dan-pung and Dong-ji were expecting a baby. The whole family will be thrilled!
I don't know about Baek-ho being Man-su's real son. Maybe only then will Grandma accept him. But I love how Man-su treats Baek-ho as his real son no matter what just as how Baek-ho treats Man-su as his real father no matter what.
I can't wait for the next episode!!

I really appreciate the spoilers from everyone, can't say that enough. =)
Kfan, I'm with you on that. The ending seems a little cheesy, not that I wanted anyone to die or anything but so far in the dramas I've watched the punishment is always lenient and then everyone's all chummy and buddy buddy again, after all that's happened. What's the saying, 'Lets forget the past."? Yikes, then get burnt again. x.x

Knov1,as per your suggestion,I will remove the preview summary and preview video clip summary when the full episode summary is posted. Thats not what I mean. Double posting means when it's the same person posting in a row in a thread. Yesterday you made 7 posts in a row in this thread within the span of 6 hours. Then later you made 4 posts in a row within the span of 30 minutes. If you want to separate the summaries and previews from your other posts, that's fine, but if you're responding to someone else's post or simply commenting, you can do that in one post. If it's the following day or many hours later and you're still the last person who posted in the thread, I don't mind if you double post but if it's still within a couple of hours, please edit your posts instead.

Okay, okay Knov1. I've now consolidated my posts.I sincerely misunderstood what you wanted me to do the first time round.
i think someone on the soompi thread said that dongi might be pregnant!? pilseung did you read that anywhere? Hi Jinju Yes.Someone there posted that.I think it was just a guess by him/her from the snap-shot video clips someone else posted earlier.He/she didn't consider the possibility that maybe she wore something that didn't flatter her well??

Hi Lovely I agree with you;I think Sua and Seonjae will get back together. Ji-yeong pregnant, maybe? Yes,Mansu accepted Baekho from day1 and vice-versa.It was and has been brilliant;their father/son relationship;no questions asked, just respect and care from the start. That's why I hope they really are father and son.I'm just a sucker for a HAPPY ending.
Wow! Thanks for all the episode summaries! Here we are on ep 127 so we have a long way to go. But I'm wondering what will take it's place now that in many places the show is over. Anybody know what drama will be coming after this one? Hi Northwest I think I read somewhere it's a drama called ''YOU ARE MY DESTINY''.Don't know how reliable that source is though.

FINAL EPISODE 172 (no English subtitles) www.veoh.com/videos/v7735774q8ZTdG6hwww.veoh.com/videos/v7735795FdpAnCcE
Apparently,it's not clear whether or not Baek-ho is Man-su's biological son??I hope to find out when the translation comes out. From the way Grannie MIL cried her eyes out after looking at the paternity test results,I reckon it's BONG Baek-ho! The best thing is she seemed to accept Baek-ho BEFORE she read the results!Sheila,Sheila..wherever you are..I hope you've seen this episode and you are HAPPY. Anyway, the following is a comment made by beamonkr@soompi.com who often makes intelligent statements: ''Looks like BH is really MS's son. The 99.9997% seemed to give it away. Granny cried because of all the mistreatment she gave to BH over the years and he was actually the grandson she always wanted. Also, she realized that because of her snobbishness she broke up the relationship between DJ and MS and DJ was already pregnant with the Bonjour heir. Just my take anyway.''
Comment by ChristyKim@soompi.com who is one of the translators over there: [BH is indeed MS's biological son. GT goes to schools and gives lectures.]
Jinju You were right;Dong-ji gets pregnant.

Pilseung, Thank you. Beamonkr's comments are exactly what I thought too. The happy endings on the dramas alway make me cry! It makes all the suffering of watching the nasty parts worth it. Can't wait for the narration.

Last Episode
(You might need some water with this episode. It’s super sugary.)
Grandmother tells Dongji to sit down. She pulls out the promise note and asks her to rip it up. Dongji is overwhelmed. Dongji tells her that she harbored so much resentment and grandmother says it’s understandable. She tells her to stop crying because she has nothing to feel bad for and that it is her that should be crying for the poor treatment she gave to Dongji.
Geumja and Jaebok are sharing drinks. Geumja asks him if they can ever closer than they are now. JB asks her if they can continue staying friends, since it takes him a while to open to someone’s affections. Geumja is more than happy to wait and JB is grateful. They toast.
Resident failure, Miae finally gets a proper acting gig. Chan comes home from tae kwon do and is happy also for her, too.
In the office, Yoon walks in congratulating Baekho with the good news. Baekho is to be commended for his work in resolving the factory problems with the residents. The new girl says that BH definitely deserves an award, given that Seonjae couldn’t even fix it. (Way to piss off your boss.)
Back at the ranch, Danpung, BH and Bongsoon all come home. Grandmother looks at BH and says that he doesn’t look too well since he’s been running around with the factory problems and taking care of Mansu. She tells Dongji to get some herbal medicine for him. Everyone is taken aback by her sudden generosity. Then a delivery for BS comes. BS quickly takes the package and goes to her room. She is surprised that the DNA results are ready quickly and wonders if she should show them. At dinner, grandmother is worried about Sua but Dongji and BS reassure that BH and DP are there for her. As they’re eating, grandmother admires the way BH heartily eats his meals. She switches plates for Baekho much to everyone’s surprise. Feeling a bit awkward, grandmother says that BH hasn’t been looking too well and that the food would make him feel better, not to mention that he could reach it better, too. Mansu then suggests that DP and BH go to the in-laws and stay with them given the situation. Grandmother agrees that would be a good idea.
Gitae and Jongsun are eating dinner, but the emptiness of the house is apparent. Gitae tries to engage her in conversation by picking a fight but JS is too worn down. DP and BH come in with suitcases and all and instantly JS thinks that they have been kicked out of their house. Gitae scolds her for expecting the worst and having quite an imagination. DP tells her that Mansu requested that they stay with them. BH then wonders why they are having dinner so late. He tells them he brought some after dinner drinks. Gitae is all about it and BH says that he will prepare the snacks. JS is a little surprised that BH will take care of that. DP chimes in that BH is quite the cook.
Grandmother and BS are getting ready for bed. She is wondering why BS is acting a bit suspiciously, so BS pulls out the unopened envelope with the DNA results. Grandmother is shocked that BS has done the test. BS tells it’s up to her what she does with it and goes to sleep in Sua’s room.
Back at DP’s parents place, everyone is enjoying drinks. Because they are running low on alcohol, Gitae and DP run out to get replenishments. Jongsun offers BH a drink and BH reciprocates. Jongsun, finally calling BH, Kang suh-bang (showing respect to BH), thanks him for all his hard work. She also apologizes for basically ignoring him since they got married and to make up for it asks him if there is something she can make for him for dinner. BH says, yes, a stew (didn’t quite understand what stew, exactly.)
Grandmother can’t go to sleep and finally opens the envelope. The tests confirm that Mansu and BH are indeed father and son. Grandmother weeps for the horrible monster that she was.
Two years later…
Sua arrives at Incheon International.
Danpung and Dongji are in the kitchen preparing food for grandmother’s birthday celebration when they both do the patented Korean pre-pregnancy gag reflex. Grandmother walks in and wonders if DP might be pregnant. She tells Dongji to take DP to the doctor’s office.
DP and Dongji walks out of the clinic ecstatic. DP wants to call Mansu to tell him about the news, but Dongji is too embarrassed. So they call BH. BH is now the planning team manager, new glasses and ringtone and all. DP tells him of the news and BH is ecstatic. DP tells him to not to be surprised and springs the news on him that his mom is also pregnant. BH goes to Mansu for some document approval when Mansu notices BH grinning ear to ear. BH asks if Dongji has called him and BH says it’s probably because she is a bit embarrassed. BH tells him that DP is pregnant and Mansu wonders why Dongji has anything to be embarrassed about. BH also tells him Dongji is pregnant, too.
Grandmother is pacing back and forth at the house wondering why they haven’t come back yet. DP tells her that she is pregnant and grandmother is thrilled. She asks why Dongji is standing like that. DP springs the news about Dongji and grandmother is slow to understand but is thrilled as well. Dongji is worried about the preparations for today’s dinner and grandmother tells them to go rest and not worry about anything else.
Gitae is on his way to work at the university as a teacher. She tells Jongsun that he will be back early and that she should get ready to go to Pyeongchangdong tonight. JS doesn’t want to go for obvious reasons, but Gitae convinces that for the sake of DP and BH, they should go. Gitae asks when Seonjae is coming home and JS says that she doesn’t know. She complains that it’s so hard to reach him. Gitae tells her that if she does talk to Seonjae, tell him thanks for the tomatoes that he sent over and to come over more often. JS complains that if he keeps giving away tomatoes, how SJ will have any money to feed himself.
JS wonders how long SJ will have to live the way he does.
A happy SJ is delivering tomatoes to the local mart when he gets a phone call from JS. He tells her that he is doing well and will visit on the weekend. JS tells him that a former colleague of SJs visited them about a potential job opportunity. She is scheming for SJ to take that job but SJ says that he is happy with what he is doing now. SJ bumps into a pregnant Jiyeong at the mart. Theuy exchange pleasantries and tell each other that they look well. Woojin meets them. SJ tells her that it was nice to see her and her likewise. They part ways. JY comments that he picked up juice. WJ says that it was buy one get one free. JY tells him that no one loves free stuff like him. As SJ walks away, he does not turn back.
At Jiyeong’s house, the extended family is all enjoying dinner when Dalhyeon, Sonia and their boss walk in. Miae asks why he is here and he tells her that he’s here to help Sonia and Dalhyeon pack. Sonia tells them they are moving, but not too far away. Miae mutters that if they move, they should move far away. Dalhae says that it’s good to have them close and they could look after Chan, too. Jaebok invites them to eat with them but Dalhyeon tells them they are busy with packing and have to go visit BH’s house.
SJ is at the plant packing tomatoes when he has an unexpected visitor…Sua. SJ asks her when she came and she tells him that she came to see SJ as soon as she arrived. She tells him that while she was along in Paris, she tried to forget and even hate SJ but it didn’t work. She came to get back together with SJ. She realized that she never really loved SJ properly and believed in him and that was her biggest regret. She also knows that he didn’t divorce her because he didn’t love her. She thinks that she will be a better wife this time around and asks SJ what he thinks. He replies that from what he sees of Sua in her fancy bag and fancy shoes that he won’t be able to buy her those nice things and asks her if she can do without that. Sua falls into SJ’s arms.
All are gathered for grandmother’s birthday dinner. (Chan seems to have not grown one bit). Grandmother is grateful for all those who came and wishes that Sua could have also been here. After some uncomfortable silence, Sua walks in to everyone’s surprise. Sua greets her grandmother and then greets her former in-laws. JS is happy to see her. Sua tells her that she has another guest and SJ walks in. Mansu warmly greets SJ and grandmother also warmly greets him, too. Sua tells her that she and SJ couldn’t get her a gift since it was last minute, but grandmother tells her not to worry. She received the biggest present of all today. She announces to all that both DP and Dongji are pregnant. JS is surprised and BH is proud. Dongji still feels embarrassed but Mansu is nothing short of proud. BH is proud of Dongji being pregnant and further embarrasses Dongji. Dalhyeon prepares the camera for the family picture and grandmother tells everyone to crowd around her and that they are all her family.

A terribly cheesy ending which made me puke!
Dongji who was going through menopause a few episodes ago is going to be a Mom! Hello, medical science hold on tight to her! And how do the fathers-to-be know about this? Baekho gets a phone call from his wife. Baekho tells his Dad that he is going to be a father and a grand-father at the same time. Yes, I always thought Mansu looks like a dead ringer for Steve Martin.
MIL who's always hated Baekho SUDDENLY looks on him favorably and cries with joy that he is her biological grandson. He would have been so much better off being a Kang.
Sonjerk told his Dad that his being in prison was his Dad's fault for not helping him. Shows no remorse over what he did except to shed crocodile tears over getting caught is HAPPY playing with tomatoes? Where is the bow to the elders and the asking for forgiveness?
The couple who married for ulterior reasons both realize they actually love each other and are going to walk off into la la land together, with the applause of their family?
And finally, the one person through to her character from start to finish, the stupidest, most boring character in k-drama world, Ms Hwang Jiyeong! What does she do? She tries to hide her pregnant belly from Sonjerk. Must be feeling guilty for cheating on lying scum of ex-boyfriend with sincere, devoted husband!
Talk about corny endings!
-----
I'm sorry that the people who created this thread and kept it so real and alive, Ashen and Sheila especially are not here at the end of the show. Ashen, great idea to start this thread. Sheila, thanks for the great write-ups. No-one does a summary like you -- I actually felt I was watching the show when I read your summaries.

Thanks famcgee for the last episode summary. I really enjoyed watching this drama! It will be one of my favorites because I love Baek-ho and Dan-pung!!
I agree with rendezvous about some parts of the ending being corny, lol. But it's a TV drama. Overall, I am satisfied with the happy ending.
Does anybody know what drama will be airing next?

To all who commented, I was more than happy to pitch in. I missed Shiela's text episodes as much as the next person I agree with those who thought the last few eps were meh. The type of ending wasn't anything new to K-drama land but I kind of blindly hoped that it would be different. Not including the last five or so episodes, I would give the writing in terms of theme, pace and interest level about a B-. The character development of Sua and Baekho was multi-layered, complex and overall brilliant. I love happy endings and understand that a K-drama, especially MIGO had to finish on an overall happy note. But the writers tried to put big red bows on everyone and everything which basically ruined any realistic reconciliation for me. Underlying almost every K-drama is the struggle and triumph of good over evil. For me, I feel K-dramas are trying to teach me this lesson in a very familiar fashion - the struggle of the hero. Sure watching Baekho getting dumped on by everyone sure made the viewers pity and hope for the best him (that sounds like every episode except 10). But isn't there another lesson in watching a Sua-type get knocked off her high horse and them redeem herself, too? If both of these situations played out simultaneously, I could anticipate a more palpable ending. What made the ending worse was because MIGO was Baekho-focused, it would have made sense that the ending was centered more around him. It ended up being a hugfest for the grandmother and Baekho playing the ancillary character in the episode. Just venting on the 5% that was a bit disappointing. The other 95% was quite entertaining. I hope to see the real life actors of Baekho, Sua, Danpung and Jiyeong in other dramas. I officially have nothing on my K-drama must-watch list now.
