Has anyone else noticed some obvious jumps in the action lately? I think someone is cutting out scenes, and cutting out the ends of scenes. Things are not flowing the way they used to. I guess to make more room for those HOME SHOPPING INFOMERCIALS that KBC insists on showing for about 20 minutes when "Likable" is supposed to be on.

Not here in PA, Lucy. At least as far as I can tell. We get the dramas on WMBC out of Newton, NJ. About halfway thru every episode To Be Continued flashes at the bottom of the screen and there's a little squibble before the next scene begins. Sometimes I think they've deleted something at that point. But again, I can't be sure.

I view it the same as puppy. Half way through the "to be continued" comes up and the next part starts after that. It doesn't seem to me that they are cutting anything out. I watch on WYBE here in PA. with no commercials because it's a PBS station.

Yup, I don't think any scenes have been cut.

Even on KBS World, I've noticed the same thing with the "to be continued" in the middle of the show. I wonder if they present it as several smaller episodes in Korea?

No, they don't. the "to be continued" started late dec/early Jan and it's just a 2-3 minutes break. the first week that this was introduced, there was an annoucement at the start of the show to say there would be a 2-3 minutes break. And just before the break, there would be an annoucement to say the show would be continuing in a few minutes. Previews of one or two shows run during the break.

Thanks, Kfan. I wasn't really sure why they did that, because it does look like they show it in the same format in Korea.
It looks like they occasionally advertise other shows on the screen during the episodes too (like a "coming up next" message).

Yup, I don't think any scenes have been cut. If we're still talking about Chicago, I'm sure they have. Never before have I seen scenes just stop in the middle where someone is about to say something.

HI Lucy - you're so right - I noticed that on one of the scenes - the women were just coming into the room and just opened their mouths to say something and /./CUT// right to a totally different set of characters and scenery. WHAT?? You're also right about whether the posting is about Chicago or somewhere else - I too get confused because on so many of these threads the postings are about scenes we haven't seen here as yet but no warning about spoilers - there seem to be spoilers of one sort or another in almost ALL of the threads - must be driving the moderators nutso!!

I was in Los Angeles over the holidays, and KBS-LA still chops things up pretty ruthlessly. However, except for the "to be continued" message that appears midway through nearly every KBS drama nowadays, I haven't seen any cuts in my TAN satellite broadcast. I'm only a week or two ahead of Chicago (not sure exactly) and I've been chomping at the bit any number of times, wanting to spill the beans on something I might have found to be particularly amusing. And that's why I haven't commented much lately - way too easy to get myself in trouble with all the Chicago fans! New York, though, is weeks ahead of me as well. I generally don't mind spoilers (unless it's a show that I'm really getting obsessed with) but some of the threads lately do seem to badly need the word SPOILER (in big, bold letters) posted in the thread title.

Yes, it is. At least, it is me, and it's cutting down on my enjoyment a lot. I don't know why people don't seem to get the message that they are posting on the Chicago board and to be careful. It's right there at the top of the page. Even if people would just add their home location to their profile, it would help other readers understand that the comments they're about to read have come from somewhere else in the country that may be ahead of us in Chicago. But the burden shouldn't be on the Chicago members. I just don't get it.
