I have heard so many good things about this drama and watched a few previews of it on Youtube and I must say this drama intrigues me. I love the past coming back to haunt you theme that's the basic outline for the show. It's about a dectective, Kang Oh Soo (Uhm tae Woong) who commits a crime in his youth, but he never pays for it because of his influential father. An entire family is affected by his act and it's something he neither owned up to nor did anything to shed light on the truth. But 12 years later, there's a killer who sends Tarot Cards to the detective, leading him to each murder. It's these Tarot Cards among other messages that remind the detective of his past transgressions. Everything starts to fall into place, but everything else starts to get destroyed. It's got quite a cast too. Joo Ji Hoon from "Goong" fame and Shin Min Ah from one of my personal favorites "A Love to Kill". And, Uhm Tae Woong, whose acting skills I have quickly come to admire, from "Sassy Girl Chun-hyang" and more famously "Resurrection." I wonder if this show will replace "Hello! Miss". It's an KBS2 production, so we might get it?? I hope we do because it's a drama we shouldn't miss. ;D Not to mention the OST is wonderful.

I'd like for KBC to air this drama here. I volunteered to be the mod for it if it ever happens. I'm not getting my hopes up though. We're more likely to get "Scandal in the Capital" or "Flowers for my life" than Devil. Gong Hyun Joo appears in FFML so I wouldn't mind that one either.

I am also hoping that we get this drama in Chicago but I am not sure we will. If we don't get it here it is one that I will buy. I hope that Family Video carries it.

I've seen it but I didn't think it was good at all. It's a very dark drama. no happy or sad moments in this drama(at least what I recall).

Ohh that's too bad that you feel that way cy. But there are Sad moments. Lol The entire show is pretty dark, but that's what also makes it sad. All the characters are pretty pitiful and Joo Ji Hoon's acting, from what I've seen of it, has very much improved in this drama.
Grr, if we don't get Devil soon. Scandal in the Capital isn't too bad either. Han Ji Min is cute in it from the previews I've seen of it. The only flaw I would say for that show is who they cast for the role of the gisaeng. Han Go Eun looks weird in this drama and I'm a huge fan of her's.

“Lucifer” (as the show was titled by KBS America) ended its run on KBS-LA last week, and the show’s final episode was broadcast on TAN last night. For me, it was something of a mixed bag.
On the plus side, the music and cinematography were superior, and the acting performance by Joo Ji-hoon (who played the emotionless - but always smiling - lawyer Oh Seung-ha) was downright remarkable.
On the minus side, “Lucifer” is a show that demands real commitment from the viewer. The hardcore Los Angeles area “Lucifer” fanatics were people who watched each episode two or even three times, looking for all the little clues (some real, some red herrings) that the writers had laid out for them. But, for a more casual viewer like myself (who wasn’t inclined to watch each episode more than once) the show often came off as a jumble of information that never really all came together.
I wasn’t therefore as thrilled with “Lucifer” as were some others, but the show’s uniqueness still makes it a must-try if it ever comes to Chicago. You’ll either come away thinking that it’s a confused mish-mash, or that it’s the best K-drama of 2007.

Well, I liked the first episode. It was a mysterious and that always gets my attention. I loved the main actress in " A Love To Kill", although I knew that one as "Knocked Out by Love". Either way, she was good in that drama, and she seems perfect for this one. I'm happy to see the guy from "Resurrection" too. Any idea how many episodes there are? I'm looking forward to next week. I hope someone will make a spoiler thread at some point because I'm sure we will have lots of questions.

I can definitely see how folks would be debating "Clues" on this show, and how repeat viewings might be in order (including giving the freeze-frame and Slo-Mo buttons on your remote a workout )

I watched the episode tonight - it is very mysterious and I think I'm going to be watching it ... It's on Wed/Thur nights, is that correct? It seems to be an interesting show and I hope it continues to be interesting. ;D

I missed the very beginning, so I didn't know what I was watching, but I loved how it turned all of a sudden from a bunch of kids romping to spooky weirdness. This drama seems so well-directed and very cinematic in its production values. I hope the rest of it is as good as the first episode.
BAE, thanks for identifying Joo Ji-hoon. I thought I recognized him from Palace! I loved him in that. It also took me a minute to realize who the actress was--at first I thought she was the girl from "Love Letter." Both actresses have a pretty, kind of sulky look, but she seems "bright" in this one.
I admit I'm confused by some things. I didn't see what crime the detective committed, and I don't get who the guy is for whom they are paying the cash settlement. Everyone seems interconnected.
I think we will have to be very careful about spoilers with this drama, since some people here have already seen it in full.

I think we will have to be very careful about spoilers with this drama, since some people here have already seen it in full. The beginning is child Hae-in (Love to Kill Girl) riding her bicycle when all of a sudden a basketball rolls in front of her and she falls off. She touches it and because of her psychometric powers sees a high school student by the name of Jeong Tae Hoon/Woong getting stabbed, she eventually finds herself at the scene of the crime and a cop asks her how she got there and she says, "His mother likes mint candy." Then it's a chase scene between Ssangkkal (mobster) and Oh-Soo AKA the cop (Resurrection Guy). He misses him. Ssangkkal is bald btw. He's real short and funny too! Don't know what else you missed but I can fill you in if you need it. And lucy everyone is interconnected. It's sooo creepy actually how much. The guy whose settlement is being paid for is Sun-gi. He seems shady. Don't like him much. And Joo Ji Hoon *sigh* ;D . What a cutie. He was a lot... chubbier in Goong but had to lose weight for this show. Looks great with his new haircut, I must admit.

Joo Ji Hoon is so gorgeous. He kinda creeps me out though in this drama.

What a change in his character from Goong. He is really creepy, but oh so good looking. I am interested in seeing what his character is all about. Is he "Lucifer"?

Thanks so much, BAE! So as it turns out, I missed nothing! Just the opening credits, if there were any. I wondered why Joo Ji-hoon looked different. So he lost weight, huh? I wonder if his character plays with teddy bears in this drama, too. Somehow, I don't think so.
