[glow=red,2,300] Major Spoiler.....READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!![/glow] Jun-Ho (Jeong Gyeo-Oon) tells Ji-Yeon (Yoon Jeong-Hee) even if she can't forget Tae-Seop (Kim Seok-Hun) he still wants to get back together with her, and after thinking what's best for Eun-Ji (daughter) and the families, Ji-Yeon accepts his proposal and the two decide to leave for America together with Eun-Ji and live there for a while. But when Ji-Yeon is happily spending time with Jun-Ho and Eun-Ji, she sees news of Tae-Seop getting severely hurt during a crime bust and may lose his life. At this Ji-Yeon weeps and runs out toward Tae-Seop, leaving her daughter in Jun-Ho's arms. [THE END] ---------- wtf of an ending o.O. haha ppl are so pissed off at the official discussion board complaining about the open-ended ending and unanswered questions. does tae-seop live? does this mean ji-yeon and tae-seop are together at the end? is ji-yeon leaving her daughter with jun-ho for good? oh well... it's over. but too bad they didn't turn ji-yeon's dad into a rat.

Because they would not dare to have official conclusion! So each one think of your own ending that you like to happen

What a lame ending. “Happy Woman” has now been officially demoted to my “watch it only if I have nothing better to do” list.

I agree Mikey, this has been one of my favorites but after reading what the ending will be I know I will be very disappointed at the end. I know I shouldn't read spoilers but it is hard not to. In this case I am glad I did because now I won't be shocked at the ending.

I am wondering how the ending was received in Korea.

Well, now that that's out of the way, I know what I'm NOT buying on DVD. I saw a wrap party on television where Jiyeon said she hopes she'll be back soon in a better drama - now I see what she meant by that. It's a very good drama, but IMO crappy endings ruin the show overall. This was one of the top rated dramas in Korea, so I am sure the ending was received well. It would be nice if some dramas filmed an alternate ending for western audiences - we like closure. LOL. Wishful thinking.

I read about that on Dramaok too.I think she should stay with her husband. I wanted her to be with Taesop at first , but it will be better for Eunji if she remarries her husband.

;D Such a fabulous ending. So happy! No surprise whatsoever . . . she was self-centered witch from day one. Her selfish true colors rise to the occasion. The most deserving person (and his family) win in this one. Ya gotta know little girl would eventually tell the mother she'd rather live with her father. Her grandparents, uncle and all will be able to provide very best for little princess, and their love for child is genuine. Way to go writers Luvin' this ending. Worth the wait ;D P.S. If Jiyeon had been more a part of her husband's life and truly interested in Junho the man, instead of the catch she snagged, her husband would never have strayed .

I was watching "Morning Live" today and they showed the ending of the drama. It is such a downer, I like closure in an ending. I am wondering what happens to the other characters, the friend she works with (does she get a guy). her sister who is married to the sweet but incapable fellow and Sejong, who will take care of him if Taesop dies. I would have liked to see Jiyeun end up with Taesop and Junho happy with someone else (not slutty girl).

Morning Live featured the final episode and that's really how it ends.

Hi fellow fans, I chanced upon this fan club while goggle-searching for 'A Happy Woman'. Got hooked on this show when I caught the screening over KBS World. Just watched the finale episode over the weekend and totally agree that the finale was far from 'happy' for me! What a let down after staying up late many weekends just to catch the show at 1 am. If indeed Jiyeon is running back to her true love, and if Taeseop were to survive, does it mean she is prepared to live in obscurity with him for the rest of their lives, since Korean culture does not condone their relationship? So this spells happiness for Jiyeon? That scene where Taeseop's step-dad is teaching Sejong how to fish with Taeseop looking on, is it to settle the child-minding issue of Sejong if Taeseop were to die? Was Taeseop supposed to die so that Jiyeon can settle her mind on Junho and be happy without Taeseop as distraction?? Felt short-changed by such irresponsible ending!! Killed many of my brain cells just thinking about it. Like what otaku said, we need a good closure!

Perhaps as you suggest, this is exactly what the writers wanted viewers to think. Jiyeong's future with Junho would be bittersweet if Taesop dies but would be a way for her to be Juho's wife again and perhaps have some happiness with him and their daughter. Taesop/s father is showing grandfatherly love to Seong so that we feel he will be taken care of by Taesop's family. Evidently, the "minor" characters were not considered important enough to "tie up the ends" LOL . but I think you have made some valid connections that I for one, did not think of before reading your post. So thanks again for your insight. ;D

I felt the ending fitted the show - it was a dissapointing show from start to end. By the end of the show, I lost whatever sympathy I had for Jiyeon. Couldn't care less if she ran away with Taseop or lived with Junho in her favourite role of matry/victim. Junho who was so weak at the start of the show ends by being very responsible. I think it would be best if Junho and Jiyeon do not get back together. Jiyeon would never forgive his one mistake and would hold it over his head for the rest of his life. Not a good environment to raise a child.
