Forgive me for taking you guys back to the dark ages, but I couldn't help it.
Here in Philly we've only just seen CCH for the first time within the past couple of weeks. (If you can believe that)
Someone may have mentioned this but, that actor is the same gentleman who played Goongyae's loyal advisor Jonghoon (I think that was his given name) on the EWG series. I couldn't tell from his pictures on this website but it was unmistakeable when I first saw him.
...I will add this, the fact that he was a man of broader perspective than KDS was immediately apparent in their interaction. Also apparent was the fact that he was perhaps a slightly less scrupled individual than KDS.

seven stars, i envy you philly fans....you are still getting aow, and you are in some of the best parts. the actor who played cch is very good....he would have to be to have so many people feel so strongly about his character, either for or against. kds was very narrow in vision...but i liked him. to say that cch is slightly less scrupled will win you the understatement award of the month. and please feel free to take us back to the 'dark ages' anytime.

I think the actor who played KDS is better suited for a soap opera. He was overly-emotional. But actually, that is probably the writers faults. My belief is that they attempter to modernize AOW, by adding pointless love stories. It didn't pick up untill they realize that it doesn't work.

maybe the actor who got the role had to audition by screaming by the water. and we all know how good the kds actor was at that. ;D

My belief is that they attempter to modernize AOW, by adding pointless love stories. It didn't pick up untill they realize that it doesn't work. I agree that many of the KDS scenes were melodramatic, and the silk didn't help things at all. Dobang often looked more like a fraternity of wartime fashion model males than a militia. Nevertheless, you have to recognize that the man made his mark. On episode 99, it was said about him that he is the only hero of the "Age of Warriors" not described as a traitor, in the chronicles of Koryo. If might were the sole criteria for assessing value to these warriors, KDS would still hold his own as he only lost one match to Huh Seung, and fought the Archfiend to a stalemate (apologies to you ID, but that's what happened). No Eowyn, I'm not the president of the KDS fanclub, but I am a member of the fanclub of any warrior who stays the honorable course through treachery and peril. I don't appreciate the heart throb nonsense though!

Kim Gap Soo will play arch-pirate role against cho soo-jong in Hae-shin(jang bo go). Hae-shin(god of sea) looks amazing. It is shot for HD-TV. he could play as one of those undead pirates in "pirates of the carribean" no need for special effects.

Is there a website for Hae-Shin God Of The Sea? I'd love to see pictures of Kim Gap-soo in it. I will have to search.

check out other drama section. I think choko already posted a few pics and links. It will be about 50 episode and looks definitely more action packed than general Lee. They seem to use a lot of artistic license since there is not much data on unification shin ra periode regarding outfit, garment and hairdo stuff but it looks great. Director told press that he was really shocked and inspired by what damo did. There is a sort of spartacus or gladiator like scenes. It reminded Musa (korean movie) since there is impressive desert battle scenes in the preview. Preview action scene was top-notch. Original script is based on the novel written by famous writer Choi in-ho (top writer during 1970). If you have kbs account, you can see hae-shin previews and episode without subtitles. However, kbs registration process is a kind of challenge. here is photo section link www.kbs.co.kr/drama/jangbogo/plus/photo/photo.html

Thanks for pointing that out. I couldn't see though the different make-up. I does explain why I thought both characters would make good Star Trek Vulcans (or Romulans). If they continue that stuggling franchise, they ought to consider him.
