All the spoilers I've seen on here deal with romance, which is fine, but I'm interested in whether the evil Uncle Myung-Tae gets his comeuppance. In Philly, we just saw the episode where Myung-Tae finds out his wife has a new husband (lucky her!), then he flips out, gets drunk and chases off his biol. Mom and his troubled, adopted nephew. PLEASE tell me Myung-Tae gets hit by a bus or something happens to make us feel sorry for him! I'm hoping they'll go for the old "saves biological mom with kidney" storyline or something, as the guy needs a LOT of redeeming! Maybe he becomes a soccer player and scores the winning goal against the Japanese national team? ;D BTW, I'm disappointed I can't post in the areas like all the other good drama fans, but I guess this had to happen. Looks like there would be some attempt by law enforcement to crack down on the thread highjackers...oh, well...I guess I just need to join up, right?

Myeong-tae forms an association with Ji-ung, "United Weasels of Korea". ;D

Hey, spoilers in the spoiler thread, LOL. Besides, I thought it was called "United Mustelids of Korea"...so much classier sounding...

I need a little help here... my subtitles were blurry and i could not make out the part about somebody paying $6,000 ... for I don't know what ... but it had a profound effect on the 'adopted son' I'll appreciate learning what I missed in my blurry subtitles.

Before Mu-yeong returned home, he was working at a construction site, and was friendly with an older co-worker. One day, a large truck is unloading material at the job site, obstructing traffic. An irate driver pick a fight with the co-worker. Mu-yeong intervenes, and slugs the driver, who presses charges.
After several days in jail, Mu-yeong finally calls Sang-hyeon, who settles with the driver to the tune of six grand. They do not tell anyone in the family about this, and Sang-hyeon drags Mu-yeong home.
Time passes . . .
The other day, Myeong-tae was looking for something, and picks up a piece of paper that has fallen to the floor; it's the receipt for the bail money. At that moment, Sang-hyeon comes in, and snatches it away from Myeong-tae, saying it's none of his business, and to not tell anyone.
Of course, Myeong-tae, being a Korean Drama Uncle, tells everyone.
