The foster brother has two possible girlfriends now. I'm wondering if he'll end up with the young rich girl, and if his friend from school will go back to her fiance. She was more brokenhearted about the split-up than I expected, especially after she was so delighted to see her old buddy. It's cool that she wants to help her coworker marry her father. (Sorry I haven't learned the names yet.)

The foster brother's name is Mugyeong. The young rich girl's name is Eunha and the other potential girlfriend's name is Jisoo. I thought this show was moving at lightening fast speed before, but I kind of liked it. I seriously dislike it when shows get all drabby and slow within the first few episodes because it makes me lose interest quickly. Right now, the two grandmothers plot line seems to be stalled to make way for other stories. I wish that the show was a bit more fluid rather than the choppy sequences we're being fed.. Too many problems to keep up with, moreover-- like in Infamous Chill Sisters. I like it so far, though. My favorite characters are Eunha, and Myeongju.

I'm not enjoying the show so far. Partly it's because of my bad reception that changes daily, so I can never be sure where the antenna should be when I set my VCR. I mostly fast-forward and read the subtitles as much as I can as it goes past, because that evens out the jumpiness on my tape. But I just don't like any of the characters very much. The only storyline I'm interested in is the woman who's been in love with her professor for 20 years, though the actress is acting kind of weirdly, in my opinion. She's got a strange vibe. And I like watching the cute young actor who played Hanam in Chill Sisters.

I like the grandmother who just showed up. Hope we don't have to wait too long to find out her story, why she left her children (or did her husband leave her for red-lipstick grandma and take the kids?). She seems patient and sad, subdued with her lack of rights to a place in the family. I'm glad her son-in-law is taking care of her. The uncle is a pain, the way he rejects Mugyeong. He's only a half-brother to his younger sister but doesn't seem to worry about any lack of status there. Sheesh, the kid was there since he was a baby-didn't uncle coo at him and play with him?

From what we've been shown so far, new grandmother divorced her husband because he was abusive and they had very different personalities. She was strong and adament and so was he. He was also a bit of a drunkard and it became too much for her to handle, so she left.

As I watch, I keep saying when will things start making sense. It's like they're pushing you to feel the emotions of the characters when they haven't really built them up yet.
I haven't found anyone I like yet, well maybe Sangyeong but he's such a sap much like his father. Eunha is too clingy and disgusting and what gets me the most is that I've really come upon people like that irl. If Hanam/Mugyeong doesn't end up with Jisu, I'll be very pissed lol. I mean, I stopped watching PIH after learning Gukwha and Uygeong didn't end up together.

I would rate this show as "pretty good" so far, maybe a small notch below "One Million Roses" (giving OMR the edge for the presence of Lee Chang-hoon and Kyun Mi-ri). I like having a "serious" drama after a couple of mostly comedies (BBunch and Pure 19).

I agree with Soju, I think this show is pretty good. I think it will get better as we watch more episodes which will only mean more drama and twists.

This is my 19th Korean drama and I find this show to be about the least interesting. The story line is lacking and I find the actors rather dull. Compared to shows like One million roses, Second proposal, Pure in heart, this show falls to barely watchable.

I'm realllllly fed up with all the sniveling, crying and mopiness of Eunha. I find myself watching this drama more out of habit. I like the most of the actors, but not the characters. So on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being wonderful... my rating is a 2.5

I find I like this show better if I ignore the Mu-yeong/Ji-su plot line. At least Mu-yeong has other issues, like with his relatives and Hye-gueong [Eun-ha's mother], not to mention the possibility of his birth mother showing up someday. Ji-su, OTOH, barely has any other function than Mu-yeong's love interest. I would like to see her be more of a foil to Ji-ung and Mi-ae regarding their father's marriage, but I guess as the younger sister, it's not her place, maybe. Sometimes, I picture Han Hyo-ju in a different drama, where she's a overbearing sister, or a coniving co-worker, or something, and find I enjoy that more. [EDIT] Not to say that I think those sort of roles would suit her better, just that they's be more interesting than Ji-su.

I, too, dislike many of the characters, and the story line seems to be dragging. But isn't it funny that we keep watching in spite of our dislikes? Is that what addiction means???

There are 2 characters that keep me watching, the birth mother/grandmother and the professor/future bridegroom. They are warm, generous people who raise the spirits of those around them. Well, except the birth mother's very sad, selfish divorced son and the professor's married selfish son who just moved back in. Maybe after a few months we'll see them change.
