Rain, like Se7en, is also making his US debut as a singer and actor! He's supposedly signed on for a movie called "Speed Racer" or something like that with the brothers who brought us the "Matrix," so that should be an interesting combination of talent. Super excited for the both of them trying to make it big in the United States market! I hope both of them will go far!

I'm disappointed, though, that Rain isn't playing Speed. He's playing a supporting character.

"Speed Racer" was the first example of an anime becoming a successful franchise in the United States. It ran from 1967 to 1968 w/ re-runs lasting well into my kindergarten year.... I'm disappointed, though, that Rain isn't playing Speed. He's playing a supporting character. He can always play one of these characters...... Speed Racer had a younger brother named Spritle (Kurio Mifune, 三船くりお Mifune Kurio) who, along with his pet chimpanzee Chim-Chim (Senpei), constantly got into mischief by hiding in the trunks of cars. Rain would make an excelent Chim-Chim....

And there was also "Tobor, the Eighth Man", and "Gigantor"! Eehhh, these kids today . . .

As I've said before, his long, sweeping eyes would be a perfect suggestion of aerodynamic activity, so he should have played Speed. Maybe he can play Pops, I don't know. Actually, he is playing a newly invented character, another racer whose father owns a car company, or something like that. I used to do a great Spritle imitation. "Oh! Speed! Trixie! I want CAN dee!"

I'm disappointed, though, that Rain isn't playing Speed. He's playing a supporting character. He gave a very humble response to a Japanese audience during a press conference about how he didn't want to become an actor in the American Industry based on the fact that he was Rain/Bi. He wanted to start of as an unknown actor Jung Ji Hoon and show people what he was made of. He apparently got a lot of other offers for lead roles, but turned them down for the same reason. What a hottie! ;D

I'm disappointed, though, that Rain isn't playing Speed. He's playing a supporting character. Wow, Rain is going to be in the movie? That's so cool! I remember that rumor that BoA was going to be in Harry Potter. Never happened. But Rain was featured in an episode of the Colbert Report and his international album should be coming out soon (probably will be listed as 4.5 by the normal Korean album numbering system). I can't wait for the English version of "I'm Coming," it better be good! And they better make an English version of "Touch Ya," that my favorite song from the "Rain's World" album. The song Omarion recorded with Rain has been leaked onto the internet for a while. It's the song that's on my MySpace page.
