Li Kaigu is getting too big for his boots. Imagine, he just talked to the Prime Minister of Tang as if the PM was reporting to him. He needs to fall flat on his face.
Dae Jungsang met Chulin's son not knowing he was talking to his grandson. It was a very poignant moment (excuse me if I use wrong word) and I cried. I wonder if he will ever know the boy's parentage.

Dae Jungsang - I'm in love with this man, he's the reason I watch and well the story is interesting so far. Please tell me he doesn't die or, if he does, that it's of old age?

There isn't any historical docs left for Dae JungSang on how he die. Some source indicate he actually died during the war with Tang, but there isn't any solid source.
There is no plan from drama that he die of old age, but i think PD will trying to put together some sort of dying scene of great man, and DJY taking his final place as main leader.
Sort of son taking his father's place & become emperor.

I ask someone who are flurent in both in English and in Korean. Just wonder what the dramas are like with English subtitles. I find that Korean subtitles for American movies are much shorter than the original scripts. They sometimes omit some important lines and this even makes me misunderstand some scenes. I just wonder if English subtitles for Korean dramas (especially historical dramas) are good enough to convery the stories and the meanings of the scenes.

I know its a drama but sometimes the drama is too drama, you know what I mean! Now, DJY is off with Chulin and their son (still unknown to father and son) fighting to save Chulin's father from Li Wen. Why drag Chulin back into the picture? Although she is much more interesting than the saintly Sukyeong who became even more boring after achieving her life goal of being Mrs DJY! Even more incredible, she is still referred to as Princess although there is no more kingdom. But I guess if the Brits can keep a straight face about their "royal" family , it must be the same rationale to keep calling her Princess.
And Biwu everytime he sees Chulin he will remonstrate with her about not raising DJY's son as a Georgyeon (excuse spelling). When he don't see her, he has no such problems. I bet that with DJY finds out, he will find it easier to forgive Chulin than to forgive Biwu who has been by his side day after day for years and yet could not have found 1 minute during all the years to say something! And Biwu, as if if the boy could think of himself as DJY's son after being raised by Kaigu who the now young man, obviously worships. You too helped that ship to sail away so no need to scold Chulin!
I think 100 episodes is too long. They should have made it 90 or even 80 and cut off all the dragging episodes. Then show will be much better.

Yah check the scene out when Lee Gom stands up against is fake dad to not embarass himself trying to take away DJY's victory.
I mean Gul Sa Bi Woo still wants to tell Gom that DJY is his father... it's just..

I have just started watching Dae Joyoung, and I have fallen in love with the show. I can't wait for Saturday and Sunday Nights. Since I don't speak Korean I have read the english subtitles or I don't know what they are talking about. I wish I could see more of DJY.

oooh, i did not see that coming from General Xue.....but it makes sense divide the K/G alliance with an emotional issue.......but the rashness of Geom does not bode well and only indicates the impatience of the Khitans......
