Dear Readers, I'm sort of new at this, so please forgive me if I seem rude. I am also troubled by some of the living conditions in the world. However, I visit this board to take a few minutes away from the horrible news and daily stress. If someone could set up a special topic area for political discussions, I think it would be better for all. I respect and agree with all of your opinions, but I think it would be better to have posts related to TV dramas here and politics/wars at another thread area. Respectfully, Midwest Mom Midwest Mom, nicely put! There are other boards for this. Also there's a General board here where somebody can start a new thread about other topics (so long as the rules are followed). It's so easy for discussions to get off topic, but when the tone gets to sound like an argument that I'd try to get away from, if it happened on a subway car, for example, well, then we *really* notice that it's off topic.

Yes ginnycat5 it is Age of Warriors. I did a little snooping around and found that info and I also believe that it has not yet been released on DVD. I am amazed at how much information is available on this forum. I'm glad I found it. Thank you all for your input. I'm enjoying reading your posts and getting caught up on things I may have missed in some of the episodes.

Going back to 117 when DJY again spared Li and Shin just think how many people died for his act of Mercy ..Geumlan ,Sudol out fave the Wolf Of Mt Mabu not to mention ol Dad .
Thinking back on the series and how many times DJY has spared /saved Li and Shin so many characters would still be around if DJY had not had these moments of mercy .

If DJY had killed off everyone instead of showing mercy, the DJY series would have been over at episode 50! The acts of mercy show that the character DJY considers people essentially good. However, if they get him mad too often, they are killed. It is like the saying---"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." DJY makes his enemies pay for fooling him again.

That's why you should kill them the first time round so you don't get fooled twice lol

I saw episode 119 tonight. Li poked out his eye. I could not bear to look, but I had to continue to read the subtitles. I had to place my hand over the picture, but not the words. I'd say that Chulin's husband has some real issues! Who would poke out their own eye unless they were mentally ill? ? Yuck. Even though I knew that he was going to do it, I just didn't think he'd do it right then and there.

He is demented to say the least ,the funny thing was when Xue said he did not have to go that far the look on his face would have got him the job .

Here in New York we have 7 more episode to go, but I have recently started going thru withdrawal sympton, just hearing the opening music of DJY really sets you up for an adventure ride.(T.....DAM.......) For me I can say my Sat & Sun will not be the same

I am going through withdrawals as well . There are only a few more episodes left, and I am getting nervous about the end. I listen to the soundtrack every day. We have the show on during Monday and Tuesday evenings, these will never be the same for me after the last show.I hope I will be able to get the DVD set ,with English subtitles.I started watching it in the 100's and missed the beginning.

I'm glad I am not the only one going through withdrawls. DJY airs on another network where I live on Monday & Tuesday evenings also and I can watch those remaining episodes so that helps a bit, however the Finale was on another network a few weeks ago. A new Korean drama has started where I live this weekend and I am sure it won't be as good as my beloved DJY but I will give it a chance.

I too am beginning to wonder how I'm going to spend my Monday & Tuesday evenings. I've been watching since close to the beginning, but I did miss a few of the very first episodes. I caught the DJY bug back when Ansi fort was being attacked, and the defenders dug out and collapsed the 'mountain' beneath the Tang army. Now with what I think to be two weeks to finale, I'm starting to miss the show as well. On a side note - anybody know how an army on the run or on a major campaign (Tang, Khitan, Mohai, etc.) always seems to have large elaborate tents with large conference tables to sit at and discuss strategy? I for some reason have always found that a bit humorous.

It will be The Great King Sejong. www.koreanwiz.org/at/drama-greatkingsejong.html

Readers, I am new to this forum but wanted to thank everyone who posted episode info. I discovered AZN last year and got sucked in to following Emperor of the Sea. I promised myself I'd never give up so many evenings to watching a show again. Until that fateful day when I was cruising the cable channels and found DJY and noticed it was the actor who played the Emperor, that is. Sucked in!
As a Westerner it is nice to see non-stereotypical movies with and about Asian people. The historical dramas are great even if they last months and months. Luckily, this forum helped me find out what I missed. Thank heaven for English subtitles or I'd be screwed.
Thanks again.
