Oh, how I agree with you - get rid of both of them . That evil, ugly, evil , evil man, - did I say evil enough times? and take Li Kaigu with him. This is a FICTIONAL HISTORICAL DRAMA; that being so, the writers can skew the story anyway that makes for a more dramatic story line. Well, they will have missed the boat if they don' t get rid of these bad guys soon - like right now soon LOL - Why drag it out any longer - it's just aggravating and annoying almost all of us watchers - enough already - OFF WITH THEIR HEADS- oh wait - was that the French Revolution or maybe the Mad Red Queen in Alice??

I have two questions: 1. Does anyone know if Dae Jo Young finds out that Geom is his son? (I realize that Geom is a fictional character.) DJY does find out. Guess who tells him? Chulin. 2. This one is directed to those who know Korean history: Which of Dae Jo Young's sons was his successor? None of DJY's sons in the drama are real. Dae Muye, DJY's first son, was DJY's successor. DJY's second son, Dae Moonye, betrays Korea and becomes a Chinese subject.

Not to be a wet blanket !!but going by "Emperor Of The Sea "and "Jumong "where in the former the bad guys won and in the latter Jumong and his Bros all went kissy face after some 70 episodes of atrocitys i would not bank on Kaigu and Shin getting what they deserve .Iwould bet some incident will happen with Tang and Shin &Kaigu will snuggle up to DJY than they will all go and kick Tang butt after they kiss and make up .Interestingly in the first episode when Xue was introduced the voice over stated Xue would help DJY found Balhae so that may be a clue though than DJY was only 100 episodes .

If the voiceover stated that (which i do not doubt you) i wonder if Xue gets double crossed by everyone (including the Emperor) and we have already seen it with the Turkic leader Munchon (sic) it could be his final statement to be remembered as a Lion...An ultimate act to shape history and his name remembered.

Who in the good guys are still alive ??aside from the obvious DJY,Chulin and Biwu . Gueom is still alive to support DJY but I just have a feeling that he will die in battles with Yi. If the drama makes Gueom a hero of the foundation of Balhae, the drama would mess up the real history so much as it leaves a sign that DJY's son re-build Kithan and his descendants betryed Balhae. In real history BiWu dies during the battles with Yi but I expect they would keep him alive to the end of the drama.

I don't know as much Korean as chocopie and others here, so I'm just going to describe what I saw.
Ep. 130 Chulin, Taepyoung (Geom's nursemaid), DJS and Dolbal are exchanged by the riverside, but DJS stops in the middle of the river and steals a sword from a Tang soldier. He challenges the entire Tang army to a fight and gets stabbed by Li Kaigu the exact same way Bu Jigwang was killed by DJS earlier in the series (feigning an attack but reversing his sword instead). Not sure why; that's a question for chocopie.
Naturally, this turns DJY, Gulsabiwu and the rest of the Goguryeo army nuts and they attack, trying to get to DJS's body. DJY eventually finds DJS, barely alive. They talk for a few moments and then DJS dies.
Meanwhile, Geom is riding with the Malgal tribal troops on the way to the battlefield, when his Khitan friend rides up and tells him about what's going on up ahead. The Malgal tribal leader wants to go and help DJY, but Geom stops him and says they're going to do something different - attack Seol In Gui and the Tang camp.
DJY and Li Kaigu's forces fight deep into the night; when DJY finds his hands shaking from fatigue, he uses a strip of cloth to tie his sword to his hand and keep fighting. Li Wen and the other Tang officers find the tide has turned against them and force Li Kaigu to retreat back to camp before they all get killed.
Back in the Tang camp, Hongpei comes into Seol In Gui's tent to tell him the news about DJS's death. Seol In Gui slaps him twice; not sure why. Either he doesn't believe DJS is dead or he's mad that Li Kaigu killed him (because of the effect it would have on the Goguryeo troops and DJY). As he's reacting, they begin to hear shouting. Soldiers come in to report that the Malgal troops have attacked the camp.
DJY finds out what Geom is doing and decides to pursue Li Kaigu, but Li Kaigu has his own problems - he arrives at the Tang camp to find the Malgal troops - and Geom - took it over and are arrayed against him. After some indecision, Geom orders the Malgal to attack. Li Wen runs away to keep from being sandwiched between Geom and DJY, followed by Li Kaigu and Chulin a few seconds later. It's not seen, but it's implied in 131 that Li Wen and Li Kaigu went in different directions. The Malgal want to pursue, but Geom stops them.
DJY and Geom's forces return to camp and are discussing what's going to happen next when Dolbal, Mu Yeom, Jang Sanhae and a group of soldiers bring DJS's body back on a cart. DJY has some flashbacks to some scenes with his father, and everyone mourns.
Seol In Gui has escaped to some kind of barn or storehouse, and his chills are back as well. Hongpei returns and they both wonder what happened to Li Wen and Li Kaigu.
Li Kaigu is retreating to the south, trying to get back across the Liao River to Yingzhou, because he can't go back to Tang. DJY sets out after him with his troops; Geom asks to go, but DJY refuses him and orders him to pursue Li Wen and Seol In Gui instead with the Malgal. Geom is disappointed, but accepts. DJY catches up to Li Kaigu's troops and determines to attack them at the first opportunity.
Li Kaigu asks Shin Hong for a status report of the army; Shin Hong says they have only a thousand or so men remaining. Li Kaigu bitterly reflects that this is all he has left out of what was an army of 200,000.
Seol Gaedu (the Khitan version of Sudol) and Dolhyeop (Bu Kiwon's former lackey) volunteer to use the rest of the troops to act as a rear guard and let Li Kaigu escape. They ask Mogae (guy with the upturned moustaches) to go with Li Kaigu and protect him. Shin Hong goes to try and convince Li Kaigu to run and survive rather than go down fighting with DJY.
Back at Chang'an, the Tang ministers are trying to break the news to Wu Zetian, but she guesses what happened - Seol In Gui, Li Kaigu and Li Wen failed, leaving DJY as master of the north. Like she did the last time she got bad news, she faints.

Again, not much dialogue summary other than what I can infer. I may be totally off for all I know about that.
Ep. 131 Li Wen, his two subgenerals and their surviving men are on the run, and come to a building - the same one Seol In Gui and Hongpei were hiding in from 130. Seol In Gui is shocked to see Li Wen - and then becomes angry when he finds out the entire army was destroyed by DJY. He grabs Li Wen's sword and tries to kill him, but Hongpei stops him. Li Wen and his generals ask for death; Seol In Gui says they're all dead men anyway.
Li Kaigu says goodbye to Seol Gaedu and Dolhyeop, who have volunteered to face DJY and buy him time. DJY and his men ride up in pursuit the next morning, but are blocked by the two generals. DJY kills Seol Gaedu, while Gulsabiwu kills Dolhyeop.
Geom is having second thoughts about the mission DJY gave him to pursue and kill Li Wen and Seol In Gui; after some arguing with the Malgal tribal leader, he tells the Malgal to continue their mission and leaves to find DJY and Li Kaigu.
Li Kaigu and what's left of his group have holed up in a cave, where they discuss their options. Li Kaigu decides to head for Yingzhou via Liao River Fort.
DJY, Mimosa and Gulsabiwu are trying to figure out where Li Kaigu is; DJY orders Tungso to keep looking. He and Gulsabiwu also talk about what they will do with Chulin if she is with Li Kaigu when they find him; Gulsabiwu is worried what Geom will do if anything happens to her, but DJY won't spare anyone in his way.
That night, Mogae and Shin Hong discuss the escape plan; Shin Hong tells Mogae he's decided to go back himself and slow down DJY however he can. He and Li Kaigu have a tearful conversation in the cave.
Li Kaigu continues his escape, and reaches Liao River Fort, which is abandoned (seems to be the fort where he escaped to after DJY beat him at Ansi Fort). Meanwhile, Shin Hong has been captured and is brought before DJY. They interrogate him as to where Li Kaigu went, but of course he's not talking. DJY orders him brought up to the camp again. On the way, Shin Hong asks Mapa for the chance to say goodbye to his master one last time, which Mapa allows. Shin Hong bows down and apologizes to Li Kaigu. As he does, DJY arrives and confronts him with the news that he knows Li Kaigu has nowhere to run - so he must have gone to Liao River Fort. Shin Hong freaks out and tries to deny it, but his reaction to DJY's guess confirms Mimosa's suspicions.
DJY and Shin Hong trade insults, whereupon DJY knocks Shin Hong down and says he's going to kill Li Kaigu. Shin Hong freaks again and grabs him by the throat, but DJY headbutts him and walks away. Shin Hong grabs a rock and tries to rush DJY, but DJY calmly turns around and stabs him through the heart. Shin Hong dies after calling out for Li Kaigu. DJY continues his pursuit and leaves Shin Hong's body to rot.
DJY arrives at Liao River Fort and sees that Li Kaigu must be there. Mogae rushes in to tell Li Kaigu and urges him to escape out the south gate. Li Kaigu refuses and tells Mogae to go out and tell DJY he'll be out to meet him shortly.
Taepyoung brings some tea in to Chulin, who thanks her for her service. Li Kaigu comes in to tell her that DJY has arrived. Chulin takes out a silk pouch and opens it to reveal a vial of poison. They talk for a while but Li Kaigu says he's a warrior and wants to go out like one against DJY.
Geom and Maechun (his friend) are riding full out, trying to reach Li Kaigu.
Li Kaigu and Mogae come out of the fort, where DJY and his army are waiting. Li Kaigu concedes that he's been beaten, but refuses to go out without a fight - not as victor and loser but as DJY and Li Kaigu, tiger versus dragon, one final time. Mimosa and Gulsabiwu try to stop DJY, but DJY accepts the challenge, not for victory, but to avenge DJS, Sudol, Gaepilsamun, Geumlan and the thousands of dead Goguryeo warriors. Li Kaigu thanks him for accepting the challenge. They fight for a few moments, and Li Kaigu wounds DJY on the right arm. The episode ends with Li Kaigu's trademark smirk.
No 132 preview on the site I watched it on, and the KBS site didn't have it either when I checked. Enjoy until chocopie or whoever clears some of the dialogue up.

Well, we know DJY won't die, and according to other threads the real Li Haigu lives to a ripe old age, but they may change this, as they have not followed history in other aspects. Finally, Shin Hong has met his maker. It disturbs me, though, that Chulin has a bottle of poison on her. I hope she doesn't do something stupid like commit suicide. I always imagined that if she died, it would be in battle swinging a sword or sacrificing herself for DJY or for Goem. Maybe Goem will rush in and die protecting DJY.
