Is it me, or does it seem that people just aren't feeling this Mr. Goodbye? There's not too many posts Personally, it's grown on me. I think the first episode was not only a dud, but was kinda hard to follow. It's incredibly hard though not to like Lee Bo Young, much like Goo Hye Sun (from Pure 19). She's adorable in this drama, unlike her annoying character with the long, drawn out "I'm walking away" scenes in My Sweetheart. So, out of desperation, does anyone happen to have last week's (10/9) episode, I think it should be ep. 8 or 9 or maybe even 10....the one where Hyunseo shows up outside Yun's classroom window in the Spiderman costume? That scene was sooooo moving...I was crying right along with Yun, snot and all ... (ok, just kidding on that one!) I'd like to keep that one on tape, but I seem to have accidently recorded over part of it - mainly the good part!

I like this show, I think the chemistry between the two main characters are pretty good. Plus seeing Lee Bo Young as this kind of character is breath of fresh air after seeing her on "My Sweetheart, My Darling" (BLAH! ) Unfortunately, I just taped over that episode, I have different tapes for different shows, and so I taped over last weeks one already, sorry. Maybe you can try your luck at youtube.

I have all the episodes recorded on tape, but I don't know how to copy them, and don't know how to get them to anyone. I've also wondered at the lack of posts. I am reallly enjoying this show as well as Great Expectations which will end tomorrow.

I really enjoy this show, I am wondering what happens to Hyunseo at the end. I hope he doesn't die. Please don't tell me if you know. The little boy, Yun, is so cute. Where do they find these cute child actors in Korea. Think "Great Expectations" and "Golden Apple". The children were the best part of the show.

I too LOVE this show! I hope Hyunseo doesn't die. Both the actors who play Hyunseo and Kyle are SOOOOOOOOOOO cute! I was wondering why no one was posting for this as well. Glad to see there are many others out there who like this show as much as me.

I'm sorry, I think it's my fault. (Everything revolves around ME, lol.) No, really, I'm trying to catch up on the show, but unfortunately, due to bad reception, I was unable to see episodes 2 through 5 so I am now watching episode 7 (saw 6). So I'm about a week behind.
I'm trying to figure out what the heck's going on, for instance, is that older guy who works at the hotel and was all down in the mouth about Young-in quitting, is that her dad or only her brother's dad? I got this from flashbacks and conversations with Young-in's mother (who also is MARVELOUS in this, over her characters on OMR and that one with the four brothers...).
Also, why is Hyun-soo skulking around with private detectives and filming people? Is that his secretary in the film about the woman going shopping then getting in a car and then eating lunch with some man? What happened? Is someone stealing information? And how is--Kyle, is Kyle the head concierge?--how is he involved? What about the boxer from dang what is that show with the four brothers...how is he involved? Is he the private detective hired by Hyun-soo?
And that doctor dame! Her child is obviously Hyun-soo's child, but why is she living in his house? He doesn't know the kid is his? What a big dummy. Side note - when the doctor lost her patient, didn't she say something like, oh well, he's dead, time to start over? That seems kind of cold.
See. I'm just a big bundle of confusion. I like the way Young-in is handling Hyun-soo, so far--I just hope she doesn't turn into an evaporating puddle of wimpiness like she did on My Sweetheart...she started out fairly spunky in that one, too, but nothing like this girl. This girl, you could see two guys fighting over, for sure.
Love, Bo LOL

I've watched the show since the 2nd or 3rd episode, but I'm still as lost as you are. That's actually her place, she invited him to stay over with them because I think he was staying at a room in his hotel.

I was wondering why she was mowing his lawn! Well, every little bit helps. Maybe we can pool our confusions and come up with a Mr Goodbye (or is he a "good buy" LOL) Worldview. Bo

Yeah, I LOVE this show but am a little confused too (and I've only the first episode). What is Kyle's connection to Hyunseo?

Maybe this will help. That manager who always looks so worried is Youngin's Dad. Hyunseo's secretary planted a bug under his desk. She's working with one of the other managers. Later on Kyle says that they were trying to "take down" the hotel and not Hyunseo. Kyle is the head concierge. He is also the son of the Japanese hotel owner in Vegas. I think it is the Niko Hotel, and Kyle is the major stockholder of that hotel.. Hyunseo in a later episode is invited to go back to Vegas and take over that hote. Kyle seems to be working on both sides of the coin. I don't know if he's supporting Hyunseo or not. Hyunseo is living in the Doctor's house. They were friends from college. He says that she is his very best friend, until the little boy incident. While in college, he donated sperm to a sperm bank, and after she was divorced, she decided that she did not want a man, but wanted a baby, and chose Hyunseo's sperm with which to get pregnant, but never told him until now. He is furious, but loves Yun, and wants to take him (without Mom) to Vegas to live with him. I don't know who you mean by the boxer . If someone would tell me how to arrange it, I have all the current dramas on tape. ( and more than half of the last BB shows, and would be glad to share them.

OH JOY! I feel like Stimpy (friendpal of Ren) I'm soo happy to see that I'm not the only one enjoying this one! and that other people are as confused as i (still) am!!
ie - I too am still unsure if Kyle's on the good or the bad team Wasn't he (Kyle) the concierge who helped Young-in out back in Vegas (4 those of u who caught the first eppy or two)? So I still haven't figured out this: if he is the same guy from Vegas, wouldn't that mean he's on HS's side and he came to help him out in Korea? But how to explain his curiosity when he found evidence of the one guests spying (the guest with the prostitute) - who later end up soliciting him to 'take down' HS? And now, in this last ep. (watch out!, those who haven't seen this week's eposodes yet) he seemed to tell HS he wasn't going to saboage him if he (HS) left YI alone, but that seemed untrue b/c he end up telling the creepy manager guy the opposite.
BTW - Bo... the 'boxer guy' you mentioned... Were you talking about the guy who was about to beat up the prostitute for trying to steal from him? If so, he's the same guy from the Chili Sisters. He was the oldest sister's husband - untl he divorced her.

and one more thing... is it me or is it incredibly confusing with the two guys - the backstabbing manager guy and Young-Ins father? They both look soooo similar that unless they have dialog with another character - and basically give themself away - I am unable to tell who's who. Teacher I'm so happy 2 hear that you've been taping! I'm not sure about your question of how to arrange the tapes. Do you mean that you are considering trying to transfer vcr materials to dvds? or do you just mean that they are all on different vcr tapes and you'd like to condense and arrange them onto unified tapes? If the vcr tape-condensing is your meaning, all you have to do is hook one vcr up to another, pop a blank tape into one vcr to record to, and press play on the other vcr to get the material from. If you need more info on this, let me know in the alternative, if u need info on the vcr-to-dvd field, that's a little more elaborate, so I won't post it here unless u say so! at any rate, Teacher, I'd love to arrange to brrow your copy of episodes 8&9. let me know if u can Thanks, jiminy

Teacher and Jiminyk, if you decide to keep "corresponding" on the tape transfer matters, then please do so in PMs rather than in this forum. I mean, it's fine to get something like that started here, but if it gets to be a long private conversation...well, I think you see what I mean.
If you don't know how to PM, just ask me. Or anyone, LOL.

Okay, when I say "the boxer" I'm referring to the guy who tried to beat up the prostitute and from whom she stole a tape. On the show, "Farewell to Sorrow" (looked it up!), he appeared as an ex-boxer who owned a restaurant, who was romancing Kyun Mi-ree's character on that show. So that's why I call him the boxer. Also, he seems kind of pugilistic, doesn't he.
Thanks for all the info, teacher especially. Now maybe we can start enjoying the show; well, okay, I already enjoy it, but maybe with my mouth closed instead of open in consternation, LOL. That sperm bank thing...whew! But it's not fair for him to steal the child. Maybe there are ethical concerns with what she did, but the kid is a human being, not property, he loves his mom. What a jerk.
