Last night I saw a K-drama called 'Mr. Goodbye' which kind of dragged during the first 20 minutes but, then, started to build up steam. Now I want to continue watching it.
The first episode featured a gay couple: a Korean guy and an American guy which I sensed was kind of ground-breaking for a Korean TV drama.
Did anyone else catch it?

Hi, Jackie. I guess you're the first poster on this board. I was going to set up a board this morning, but I couldn't see the title on my TV (taped) but it looks like Soju did this for me.
So, y'all, welcome to the board. I hope this is a good show; it certainly seems to have an unusual premise for a K-drama--especially one from KBS!

I know, it's something one would expect from SBS. I didn't get to watch yesterday's episode because I thought that Thank You Life was still airing, I didn't know that that show came to a close (it bored me so much). When are the repeat episode times for this timeslot?

Thanks Soju, Is it just me or was Suh Ji Suk in the first episode of this show? He was waving to lee Bo young while she was running the marathon, right?

I rather liked this first episode... kinda reminded me of Hotlier... a little edgy ...did you catch the American guy use the actual word s- - -t? - I found this to be a good deal more engaging 1st episode than most recent others. It seems so odd when english is spoken and you see the subtitle in Korean. I'll stick with this one but have given up on Great Expectations. I know, I know... everyone loves that story. I cannot get over the silliness of some of the characters. I'll stop now.

... It seems so odd when english is spoken and you see the subtitle in Korean. ... Hah! I'm always confused and alarmed when this happens, LOL. I always have to listen to it a couple of times, too; it's not just the accent, it's just I've got my mind in "hear Korean" mode and it just refuses to switch... . Bo

It's kind of weird seeing Lee Bo Young deglamorized. She was so stylish and now she looks somewhat like a tomboy. But I liked the first episode. Hyun-Seo, that cocky guy with the flashy suits, is incredibly obnoxious; I really dislike the fact that he's the main character of the show because his personality warrents a slap! Or Two.... PS: Did anyone else notice a scar that spanned his chest while he was lying down on his bed?

Bae, help me out--Lee Bo-young has appeared in which other series? (Since you say she's "deglamorized" I wonder from what.)

She was in my Sweetheart, My Darling with "Fish Lips" or Kim Seung-soo. She was with that screeching Mother, remember? She couldn't get pregnant after her miscarriage and there was drama with the MIL..... Ring a bell, Bo? Sorry I can't explain more because it was too long ago.

The June issue of Asta TV magazine has a 4 page picture spread and write-up on the making of this program, but they call it both "Beast and the Witch", and "Beast and the Beauty".

Pardon me for saying this but this drama is one of the worst I've seen so far. Bad acting and overused script was tolerable but the ending ruined it all........ pure waste of time. my precious time I'd say watch this drama if you have alot time to kill but if you want some quality dramas, stay away from this one.

Thanks, Bae, I know who you mean. She was the one who suddenly became an actress and big-name model, wasn't she, for no apparent reason. She is very pretty. And cyuser, I'm going to leave your comments because you've been so careful not to post a spoiler (I appreciate that). But do be careful if you choose to discuss the drama with people here, because you'll be laboring under the "Spoiler Presumption"... (What I mean is, if you say, "She might..." etc, it'll be presumed she WILL, and people might get mad. So do be careful, m'dear.) Bo

I’m not sure, Bo, but are you thinking of someone else? Lee Bo-young played “In-young” in “My Sweetheart.” Here she is with “Ki-joon.” I don’t remember her becoming an actress in “My Sweetheart,” but my memory does fade quickly when it comes to dramas that I didn’t particularly care for! So, I could be mistaken here. Incidentally, this is one KBS drama that is NOT (at least, not yet) being shown on TAN. So, you Chicago folks are actually one step ahead of me on this one! I obviously can't say if the storyline is any good (apparently, cyuser thinks it's dreadful! ;D) but I'd sure like to see Lee Bo-young as a bit of a tomboy. I'll bet she's as cute as can be!

Oh, dang, Mikey, I thought Bae was talking about My Precious Family! Thanks for straightening me out. But you can't blame me--almost every drama has some screeching female elder, LOL. Thanks for the photo.
