Thank you, Soju. I think I will miss this show. Even though, like most daily dramas, it's gone on too long, I like most of the characters now that they're acting nice. Gukhwa and Yunjeong were funny, and I liked the way the concerns of people of all ages were treated. Of course, it was primarily about love and marriage, but they managed to show some interesting things. I liked the look at country life, with the trips to the greenhouse, the women's club, the train station, and more. I was surprised at how dingy the town looked in last night's episode--I don't think we've gotten an overall view of it before. The funny thing to me is that, when I watch my tape of the show when I get home and I fast-forward through the opening credits, the theme song that always plays in my mind is the "Bizarre Bunch" theme song. Boy, that is some persistent tune!

Don't you love this publishing world we see in the K-dramas? You just give someone a call and ask them to write a book--they take a week or so to write it--and you type it up and print it immediately. Whaaa?? LOL Lucy! That's very funny. Given the time we saw her working on her autobio, it seems to have filled maybe 6-1/2 pages. It inspires me to begin my autobio this afternoon and bring it to a publisher on Monday or Tuesday.

Great, Kathleen! Have your daughter-in-law type it up tomorrow morning and we should be seeing it on the shelves sometime next week! Unless your former babysitter has some tales to tell.... p.s. I fixed yer quote coding, K.

Thanks for the warning, Soju! But I want to see the babies, and Usuk going out with the doctor, and Ugyong's new career, and Sinyeong dating, and.....

I've seen all too many American books that show the same amount of "work" by the author. You know, e x t r a w i d e m a r g i n s, tons of irrelevant illustrations, etc.

I agree, somewhere in the middle of the show, I felt that it's gone on way too long, but now that it's over, I really can't believe it. It's the same type of formula as the rest of the other shows, yet it kept glued to it somehow. I really liked the characters and I'm going to miss this crazy bunch.

It's a rare daily drama that doesn't seem to go on too long. I can only think of a couple I didn't feel that way about ('So This Is Love' and 'Yellow Handkerchief'). Even 'Bizarre Bunch', which I was totally nuts about, should have have had about fifteen eps shaved off. In spite of that, even the ones I find stupid or tedious, such as 'To Be With You' and 'My Precious Child' , I stick with from beginning to end.

Is "as big as heaven" on the same time slot as pure heart?

That's what I expect, because they had a notice yesterday after the finale.

Thanks for the warning, Soju! But I want to see the babies, and Usuk going out with the doctor, and Ugyong's new career, and Sinyeong dating, and..... Are you happy now, Ginny? We got to see almost all of that--or at least, hear about it. I was especially happy to see Ugyeong at work. You could just tell in the last few episodes that he had something special in mind for the tailor shop and that he wasn't going to just sew all day. See, he's got a staff now, and Dalsu has his own little subordinate to boss around while Ugyeong oversees things.

I, like most of us, will also miss this bunch - I was especially pleased at how both MILs accepted and treated their DILs. It was evident that both families loved their new family member - it was such a sweet scene where Guhwha and her MIL are hugging each other - you could almost FEEL the love they had discovered for each other. Great show - I admit there were many times I felt like it was same old same old - but overall I did like this show. Hope the next one will be as interesting and worth watching.

I was smiling as they showed everything I wanted to see! The "group rate" for suits is a little puzzling, tho, because it's so labor-intensive, even if Ugyeong gets a break for buying a quantity of fabric. (Do you suppose they send it out to China or someplace?) Looked like Ugyeong had ideas to make stylish suits for the younger set, in his book of swatches. Dalsu was funny as he snapped at his apprentice. ;D

"A year later…" We watch 166 episodes with repeated scenes as flashbacks, and then they skip a year for the ending? I would have liked to have seen many of the scenarios mentioned by Ginny, which I think they could have shown in the same amount of eps with better editing. As much as I like these dramas, (this one better than BB BTW) I do have a frustration issue with most of the endings. But in a way, this one was effective in making me *glad* it was over if that makes any sense. I was most happy for Gwangman believe it or not. I haven't really liked him in other shows, but he was underappreciated in this one and did a fine job, I think. Too bad we didn't get to hear Punggu's 5th album… he's actually a pretty good singer. I'd say more, but I have to get back to my autobiography…

PIH over BB? Really? Well, to each his own. I really liked BB much more than I did PIH. I got sick of PIH at around episode 120. But yes, you pointed out a huge problem with these dramas which is the endings. They leave you unsatisfied. Well, the show's over, what can we do? Poor Shinyoung will forever remain single, Usuk will never get her plastic surgery and will realize soon enough that Shinyoung's brother lied to her about his age and that he's actually 20 years old and is practicing medicine without a license, Gukhwa will have a baby with equally huge eyes and Yunhu's sense of humor (Ha Ha Ha), Okgeum and Hyesuk will continue fighting endlessly, Ugyeong will go on to make lots of money from his little tailor shop, and Yunjeong will continue to be a ditz, Bingo will go on to write a more accurate autobiography that won't do well, and Mr. Park will have another affair with none other than Ms. Lee.
