You know, I'm understanding Eomji more these days, although I do not find Grandpa attractive at all. (I like him better as Master Mong Yang on "Seoul 1945," probably because he doesn't dye his hair or wear those old-man caps on that show.) People sometimes say derisively of situations like this, "Oh, she's looking for a father figure." but what's wrong with that? If you want someone caring and mature who knows how to take care of you, then I guess you could call that a father figure. Good for Eomji. She's been pretty cute with him lately, making coffee the way he likes it and brushing imaginary crumbs off him--kind of wifely. I hope he has a good reason for dumping her now. My theory is that a friend his age just died, and he's realized that he doesn't want to marry Hyesuk just to make her a widow. Did you notice that the actress who plays Hyesuk is named Hyesuk?

I'm thinking the same thing too Lucy. He's afraid of leaving her as a widow when he dies (that's not to say he will, just a little guessing). I also think that now it'll be Hyesuk/Eomji who will turn around and try to WHOO grandpa over.

Well, it looks like Punguu is going to play Cupid instead for his father and Hyesuk...Wouldn't it be funny that his internet fan Morning Glory (?) turns out to be the really annoying woman that his father wanted him to marry?

I missed last night's episode (bad reception). Did anything else happen, or is everyone still moping around about the same things they were moping about on Friday? Thanks. (I don't need a full update.)

Everyone's pretty much were moping around on yesterday's episode.
Punguu told Hyesuk that he'll try to get his father to snap out of this funk. Gukhwa is upset about Yunhu leaving to Singapore but she won't say anything while Ugyeong is asking her if she's alright and tells not to keep anything in. She responds with "I have a cold and I'll be alright"...You know, since she's bold and all...Since Yunhu is leaving, Yunjeong is now a member of Ugyeong's and Shinyeong's work team. Yunhu has dinner with Shinyeong and he tells her as much as he loves Gukhwa, there's nothing he could do about it since he thinks she has no feelings for him and that he can't force his feelings on her. This little comment seem to have smacked a nice cold dish of reality into Shinyeong because she seem to have realize this is exactly what she's doing to him.
I think this about covers last night episodes. If I'm missing anything, please, anyone, feel free to chime in.

Thank you, OVD. You know, these dramas are so unrealistic as to how human beings actually think and feel. Why would that one statement of Yunhu's suddenly make Sinhyeong realize what she's doing, when HE'S BEEN TELLING HER the whole time? JEEZ.
I loved the moment last Friday when little Gukhwa was listening to SH's latest request on the theme of "help me get my fiance to stop liking you" with growing annoyance, and when SH said, "I feel guilty asking you," GH said, "Then don't ask!" That was tantamount to yelling, for her.

P.S. I've been assuming all along that Punggu's fan would turn out to be the large blind-date lady.

Yeah, me too. yuck. But I hope not-I want him to find someone good. Yunhu said, It isn't love to force my feelings on her. It's obsession. Stark! Wonder if it'll make her give up? If not, he'll get chased all around Singapore with no escape, after she follows him. Somebody will memo the Singapore folks about their impending marriage, so he'll have to go against their expectations too. How suffocating!

That's exactly who I was thinking of! That would be so sad. Here Pungu tries to fix pops up with beautiful Hyesuk and the woman in his fate is this brooding, control freak, window-breaking, maniac.

I've been trying to figure out the word for Shin-yeong's obsession with making Yunhu "hers" and it's "suffocating"! Truly, how stifling must it be for him to continuously tell someone that he doesn't love them. To have this person been their best friend for nearly all their life. It's disappointing that Shin-yeong would much rather throw away her friendship with Yunhu just so that she can prove to herself that she got him in the end.

For those who might be interested in Pung-gu's romantic future, I posted this in the spoiler thread.

Actually I'm worried that Punggu is being set up by a phony record producer to seperate him from any money he might have saved to finance his album. If that happens, romance will be the last thing on his mind.
I was glad to see Eomji tell "Mr. Hong" that since he made up his mind to leave her on his own, with no input or discussion with her, that he had no right to question her decision now that she was leaving. Serves him right.

I'm sure you're right, zorro. That chance "meeting" between the manager and the big singing star sure looked set up to me. The star seemed to have no idea who he was. How could Punggu be so dumb at his age?

How could Deok-chill or Chansoon from ICS? But it sadly happens.

Oh, yes, he's being so dense. That famous singer just wanted him to go away-there wasn't any greeting or smile, was there?
I get nervous for him when he's working on the finances for his cd. He's being scammed, I'm sure. He didn't seem to do any research about the manager. Wonder who the other guy is?
