Just have to get this in. WHAT exactly does Yunjeong do on her job? WHAT exactly does Yunhu do? :oTheir desks are always immaculate, the phone never rings, Yunjeong's only phone work involves calling her pretend boyfriend ... I know, I know.... the story line demands that nobody really works but at the end of the day everyone is exhausted and I'm just curious about why. And this is my favorite observation Gukhwa is always dressed like she's prepared to clean up a major nuclear waste spill ... but all she does is sweep the floor and polish the columns in the lobby ... oh, and she cleans the bathroom but only when Yunhu is in there. And I find it amazing that Gukhwa cleans Yunhu's office first thing in the morning - again, dressed to clean up any hazardous waste that may have infiltrated his office throuout the night . ok.. I may be the only person who is fascinated by the work scenes and I just had to get this off my chest.

These are excellent points, kathleen34, that I've been meaning to bring up myself! In all of the k-dramas I have seen so far, no one ever seems to be doing ANY work. The big-shot office guys sit in their room, someone walks in, and they sign papers, then shift to a scene where they think about their love or flashback to something someone said. THAT'S IT! That's ALL the work they do for the rest of the episode. And Yun-jeong! ugh, the amount of work she does makes me frustrated. She doesn't do any secretarial work, zip, zero. She rarely seems to make coffee and she barely leaves her desk unless it's to stop by Ug-yeong's office... He's just taken a vacation, but it seems to be that he's really always been on one! Just like in BB, no one comes to Hye-suk's restaurant, and yesterday, when she had to make a delivery, she STOPS to chat with Pungu... I mean, how is she earning ANYTHING when it seems like the cost of her keeping her store running is more than her earnings? The only people who nearly always SEEM to be doing anything are Gramps, the oldest man on the show, and his assistant.

Several episodes ago they showed Yunhu on a conference call with split screen and two colleagues talking about something business related. so we can't say he *never* works. The working for the most part is implied, I wouldn't want to watch YH actually working anyway… and by showing the contrast with Gukhwa *always* working it creates more sympathy for her. And does anyone else think the cleaning manager looks like Mao??
I have to agree about little sister though, she really gets on my nerves. Cute or not, she's gotta take it back a few notches, or Ugy should be getting a restraining order. And another thing, can't these people turn off their cell phones? I see them fumbling with removing the batteries to keep from being bothered, but that makes no sense to me. What gives?
Almost all the other K dramas show people working, just not the big shots. They primarily sit and think. Good work if you can get it.

My favorite job at UT: the doorman.
Make a note of this next time you see someone coming into UT. It is a revolving door -- he doesn't even have to open it!! His job is to bow slightly as people come into the building.
I'm thinking you don't even have to be an honor student at Helong High School to do that one.

It was the same setup at the Hotel in Mr. Good-bye. It was funny to see some people deep in thought just walking round and round in the door.

It was the same setup at the Hotel in Mr. Good-bye. It was funny to see some people deep in thought just walking round and round in the door. LOL teacher ... I forgot about that.... and the top surgeon walked around in deep thought as well. The only person who accomplished anything was the sweet little boy. He wanted to see his dad, man, he's outta that school walking the streets like a 20-year old with a purpose. He always answered his little cell phone. And when his chickens died, he buried them. His ToDoList had a purpose. If he was walkin' around, he had a destination.
