OMG-That guy is just too much. How can you tell another human being to go be a street walker? How the heck is this idiot going to redeem himself from this one?
I wonder what Ugeyong (sp?) is going to do? He asked him to not say anything else...another bucketful of water should serve him right!

I missed a lot, cooking dinner during the show where the tv reception is snowy. Did he really say that?? Hope he becomes poor very soon.

Wellll, at first it sounded like he meant that, and he may well have... but what he said was, "You'll do anything for money won't you? Why don't you go out on the streets?" and then after a couple of seconds he said something about jobs out there that would pay a lot more than she was earning at his company. I can't remember what his exact suggestion was.
You know what really bothers me? The people like him (and his Bizarre Bunch counterpart, whatever-his-name-was) who accuse poor people, who have to scrap and scrounge for a living, of being obsessed with money. I was really hoping that she would snap and say, "Yes, I'm obsessed with MAKING A LIVING because I wasn't born into a rich family and don't have a fancy house and car and education all provided by my parents, you spoiled brat!"

He suggested that she hit the streets or go to a bar and pour drinks.
What I don't get is how he assumed, from the very beginning of the show, that GH was a woman who would do anything for money. I don't get where that statement is coming from really. All I see is a hardworker who is putting herself through so much at such a young age just to help her family, maybe so she won't feel indebted. How can he immediately just say that she'll do anything for money? His spoiled rich brat nature must tell him that anyone who has an inferior job to him must be willing to do "anything" to acquire wealth. GAH! I feel like slapping him across the face sometimes and waking him up to reality.

And here I thought you were talking about , the cheating husband whose newlywed wife was screaming "Jerk!" at on their "honeymoon". He fits the description much better than YH in my opinion.
I think Yunhu's original observation came from seeing her dressed up like a chicken selling eggs on the street. I think in his mind that was so degrading, he thought to himself that she would do "anything" if it made her money. Just a guess.
He has a lot of residual anger against her… his damaged car, all the money he "loaned" her for clothes, her dousing him with a bucket of water, etc. It's no surprise he takes every opportunity to put her down. But since his only friend yelled at him to knock it off, maybe he'll watch it… or at least yell at her when UY isn't around.

It's nice how you mentioned that Ug-yeong is "his only friend" because those guys that he met at the bar that day didn't seem to attached to him, and YH likewise. His mother and Shin-yeong seem to be the only people obsessed with him.

The jerk looked down on her from the beginning. He bought her clothes to make her more acceptable to him, because he didn't want a secretary who was out of style even if she was correct and modest. He's a jerk who didn't need any errors on her part to confirm that she is just inferior to him. Lucy's comment is perfect: I was really hoping that she would snap and say, "Yes, I'm obsessed with MAKING A LIVING because I wasn't born into a rich family and don't have a fancy house and car and education all provided by my parents, you spoiled brat!" To me he's 95% worthless. Is that too harsh?

You're giving him 5% more than one of the regular posters about this show on Soompi . . .

He's got reasons, yes, to be upset with her, but he does have the tendency to blow things out of proportion, and he's not very wise with his words. Instead of apologizing to Ug-yeong only, maybe he could've done that with Guk-hwa too. He's so detached from everyone that I hardly think he realizes what can hurt a person. He seems like he could be a nice guy, but that quality hasn't surfaced as of yet. I wish it would, just so that he realizes what he's become. Supposing he wasn't always like this, being that he did fall in love once.

He's still just terrible!! Verbally abusive. He does something nice, then has to destroy the feeling by insults.

He's still just terrible!! Verbally abusive. He does something nice, then has to destroy the feeling by insults. Sometimes people does this out of love. It might sound corny...but it's true. You might say something nice out of love, and then you "destroy" what you said because after you said it, you think that maybe you exposed yourself too much and to hide your feelings. Btw, I'm not saying that I'M like this. Just saying that some people are. "We men are wretched things."
