I believe thats the name of the drama on KBS. Is it being aired in Chicago yet? Here in Northern VA its on Monday-Friday. Familiar characters from Farewell to Tears are in it. Kang Nam Kil and Han Jin Hee are some of the actors in this drama. We are on episode 13 tonight.

I'm pretty sure that "Pure in Heart" will be the new KBS daily drama that replaces "Bizarre Bunch" (as soon as BB completes its run in Chicago).
I'm up to episode #7 of "Pure in Heart," and (so far) it's just okay. I really like the naive lead character, but the show's other characters haven't really grabbed me.
I miss all the fun, quirky characters in BB. I loved BB almost from the get-go. "Pure in Heart" still has a way to go in that regard.
But hey, it's just getting started, right?

The lead actress (Yang Guk Hwa) she's cute. I never seen her in any other korean dramas. I think she's an new actress. Yes I do agree though that BB was a great, and funny drama. I missed episodes 6-11, of Pure In Heart. Do you think you can PM me what happened during those episodes? Thanks:)

BB ending was on Tues. here in New Jersey, I caught what I hope was the first epi.of Pure in Heart, but it seemed to me that this could not have been the first one with her coming on the ship. Is this the very first episode?? Thanks for your help.

I agree with Mikey, I liked BB right from the beginning. PIL is slowy growing on me. Last night, our orphan girl/widowed fiance mentioned she was from "Yanbian" (don't know if I spelled that correctly). Does anyone know where Yanbian is? It must be a poor place if our girl didn't know about GPS systems or ever heard an automated digitized voice, and she has no cell phone. Even the orphaned Jongnam had a cell phone... and scooter!
On another note, I really hope she soon looses the white sock w/patent leather shoes that most females grow out of by the age of six. To me, it takes the niave motiff to an extreme. O.K., I get it, she is pure, but it starts to take on a child porn quality when you have older men smitten for, what looks like, a first grade girl.

I am looking forward to this show. I caught the first few eps on VOD, but lack of subs made it hard to follow. It seems to be pretty well liked by the folks on Soompi, but not with the fervor that B Bunch generated. The title in Korean is "Pure Nineteen". It shoud start airing in Chicago next week, as B Bunch is winding up here now. Yanbian is the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in th prvince of Jilin, northeastern China, where China borders North Korea and Russia. Here is an official site about it. For you who are already watching, how long are the episodes running (minutes)? Is KBS America editing them, like they did with B Bunch and Sweetheart?

My episodes on TAN (which come, as far as I can tell, directly from KBS America) are all running about 35 minutes in length - about the same as the BB episodes ran on TAN.
luvsterriers, I'm only up to episode #9 so far, so I can't help much with summaries up to episode #11 ;D But, I'll see about getting something together later on that covers what I do know.
Of course, these would all be spoilers for Chicago, so I'll have to put it in a seperate spoiler thread.

No problem Mikey ;D What is TAN? Is that an Korean TV channel in Arizona?
Episode 15 airs tonight here in Northern VA. This drama seems interesting so far.

TAN ("The Asia Network") is a Korean satellite network (a little like DirecTV or Dish Network) and you can receive it anywhere in North America. Here's their website: www.tantv.com/There are four TAN channels: KBS (mostly English subtitled) MBC (some English subtitled) SBS (none subtitled) and EBS (none subtitled). TAN also operates a Korean Christian religious channel (CGN). TAN is pretty good, but it is VERY Korean oriented. It's tough for an English-only speaker like me to communiate with them sometimes.

Woops, I have to be careful to remember this is a Chicago board, and they have not yet started "Pure In Heart," so I'll try to remember not to give anything away.
Philadelphia's contemporary Korean dramas air from 11:50 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Their historical dramas (currently "Seoul 1945") air from 10:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.

There were 5 actors from other series-good to see them again. The businessman father from OMR and FTS/FTT is a well off and volatile businessman here. Sungjae and his son's MIL are in it, and the daughter of the doctor-hospital owner from Hello God. Also the relaxed father of the bride from Wedded Bliss, but here he's really excitable. I'm enjoying it already.
The nineteen year old speaks Korean fluently, it seems to me, but I guess she grew up speaking Chinese? She said she studied language and customs because she's marrying the man from Korea. She had her visa stamped after she got off the ship.

Why is "Ha ha ha" always a businessman of sorts? I mean, the role suits him well, but maybe he should step out of his box? I mean, his new character in this show seems a bit paranoid and confrontational and egotistical, but THAT'S how he ALWAYS is, no? I too, noticed Ginny, Sunjae, who seems to be playing the same subdued kind of role in this show. And I actually liked that father from Wedded Bliss in his new role; his character appears to be a bit overdramatic, which is kind of funny. And the girl from Hello God, I hope to be seeing more of her. In Hello God she didn't appear in many scenes, considering that she had a minor role. But in this one, she seems to be on the sidelines with also a love triangle possibility between her that "ha ha ha's" son and the young bride (from what i saw from the previews.. Maybe i'm jumping to conclusions...). That nephew is a rather quiet character, I would like to see him develop throughout the show though. There's another supposed bratty girl in the show who reminds me a lot of Ki-joon's sister from OMR.
I liked the first episode of this show and although, like many of you have pointed out, this show isn't quite as interesting as BB, it might develop.... Past episode 7 maybe.....
