Sin-hyeong is so close to the family that she is almost a daughter, so it's not surprising that Myeong-hye has a key to her apartment.

I just stopped by KBS's site for the show, and saw some intriguing things involving Wedding pictures. First, there's this: I also saw in the preview for the next ep (in Korea) that the picture Guk-wa had made comes back to complicate things.

Arghh... I'm not particularly fond of Rich Girl (yet), but I certainly don't want her to marry THAT lout! Maybe it's a fake photo -- like Gukhwa's!
Ginny, my impression from the series was that Okgeom (Ugyeong's mother) worked a long, long time ago for Hyseuk (the elegant woman from singing class) as a maid, for she was the Governor's daughter. Apparently, Okgeom was treated unkindly by her, but nothing has come up to betray that any of the other family members knew of Okgeom's previous situation first-hand. Just what she had told them. Grandpa now knows of the connection, but it seems he's become beclouded by desire for Hyseuk to lend sympathy to Okgeom. Uncle Punggu does not yet know of that the terrible Governor's daughter, of which Okgeom speaks, is the very same woman he is hoping to marry (he hummed the Bridal March last night, BTW: "In 1 month, I will hold her hand. In 2 months, I will kiss her. In 3 months, I will marry her. Bumm-ba-ba-baa. Bum-ba-ba-bum."

First, there's this: I also saw in the preview for the next ep (in Korea) that the picture Guk-wa had made comes back to complicate things. Wow they get married? In a club??? Sorry, they might not, but because of the lighting... Anyway, i wouldn't put it past the two to get married in a night-club! Teresa, Pungu certainly is moving fast, but not fast enough. His father has a really good head start on Hyesuk, from what we've seen so far in the show. I do hope that they show more of the storyline between Okgeum and Hyesuk. That seems interesting.

All I know is they had a picture taken . . . maybe. Could be the real thing, could be a dream sequence. We shall see. Lout's theme song: "What's Love Got to Do With It?"

Soju, LOL! That's an apt theme song, and it appears Mrs. Park is humming it in the background. Her daughter supplies increasing telltale signs of a less than honorable man chosen for her, yet mother is dismissive of these.
********EPISODE 20********
*******SPOILER ALERT***********
(let me know if my writing these are bothersome)
Gukwha has been taken on a small shopping spree by her boss, Yunhu, but make no mistake -- this is NOT out of generosity, he claims. He just doesn't want his secretary looking like a country girl. She is nevertheless grateful, as always. She vows to "wear them well and give them back" when she is finished. They walk through downtown Seoul and she offers to treat Yunhu to some sidewalk fare which he rejects (sound familiar? Let's say it together: Sukhyun + Jongnam's chicken feet = "no way!). Ugyeong comes home to find Gukhwa is not there. He feels uneasy, (but not outright fraught with worry) about this and calls Gukhwa on her new cell phone. At the same time Yunhu's girlfriend, Sinhyeong, who awaits him at his parent's house, calls Yunhu. Gukhwa comes home in her new outfit, carrying packages and is generally delighted. "No, thank you, I've eaten." Ugyeong looks reflective, with trace amounts of concern. He begins to speak of Yunhu to Gukhwa, but then says, "Nevermind."
Okgeom has dutifully made the millet cakes (which is apparently no smallish feat -- a great deal of time goes into making millet cakes) for her father-in-law. She pleads her case of not only the time consuming task in making millet cakes, but for WHOM she is making them. Grandfather scolds her to not be so cold-hearted and professes that Hyesuk thinks of her as a friend (not really!), so she should be kinder. He brings these to Hyesuk who is over-the-moon for them. So happy is he to have scored big in the Hyesuk department that he thoughtlessly tells how he'll have Okgeom make more, "she really doesn't do anything anyway." (ACK!!!)
Meanwhile, Mrs. Park has agreed to a film crew coming to interview her at home. She insists, to her husband, the importance of this. After all, people want to see where famous people live. Naturally, she escorts them to her kitchen and speaks of how she never misses cooking a meal for her family. Mr. Park is standing in the wings muttering about her skillful lying. Their oldest son and daughter are not present for the interview (Yunhu has golf lessons, Yunjeong has driving lessons). As we settle down in the living room to continue the interview, who comes knocking at the front door?? Why, it's their estranged oldest daughter, her husband and 10 year old granddaughter Nari!! A cheery introduction is given by mother (we are in front of a film crew, after all) and when the son-in-law is asked if he works with his father-in-law at UT Communications, he tells them he is a care salesman. Mother quickly jumps in with a lie, "He owns an imported car dealership."
The Park's youngest daughter, Yunjeong, awaits the arrival of her driving instructor who has been emotionally pressed into her service. She's dressed to the nines (her brother took notice of it before they left home and asked who was teaching her -- to which she said, "None of your business"). Sparkly top, white mini skirt and extra high heels is what greets our Ugyeong. He'll get a little of his own back. He says, in bland fashion, take off those shoes. You cannot drive in shoes like that. She obeys and bounces on into the car. Her skirt hikes up even more, revealing quite a bit of leg to the startled Ugyeong. He pulls out a handkerchief and instructs her to cover up those distracting legs. She's glad he took notice, and obeys. Yunjeong proceeds to gossip on the cell phone with her girlfriends, blast the radio and sing along all to the consternation of Ugyeong, who has just about had enough of this irresponsible behavior. He snaps off the radio, and wrenches the cell phone off the earpiece connection and tosses it in the back seat while scolding her. The cell phone rings and answering it becomes more important than keeping her eyes on the road. She nearly hits a motorcyclist while coming to an alarming screaching stop. We are left with her crying like a baby and literally crying, "Mommy!" Ugyeong is once again looking incredulous in the passenger seat.
Yunhu has finished his golf lesson and decides to run into work this Saturday. He doesn't know Gukhwa has come in too, in her cleaning outfit, to clean and practice walking in her high heeled shoes. She has fallen asleep, however, and Yunhu hears snoring as he enters the reception area of his office. From where is this snoring coming??? In his office!! Gukhwa is sprawled out in his chair, foot on the coffee table snoozing away!

SPOILER!!!
********EPISODE 22******
We open with Gukwha at work, clad in one of the outfits her boss recently bought, she is on the floor picking up pieces of a shattered coffee cup. She accidentally cuts her finger. Yunhu is uncharacteristically concerned and stanches the flow of blood with his own handkerchief. Enter his girlfriend, Sinhyeong. She's a little stunned to see such a display of caring. Yunha insists again he only bought the clothes so he doesn’t have such a rube looking girl as his secretary and he didn’t want her bleeding all over the place. Enter Ugyeong, (he’s none too pleased either) he’s there to go to lunch with Gukwha, who has brought her lunch to save money. Ugyeong & Gukwha eat together outside -- you’ll notice he’s picked up a hamburger & Coke from KFC, by the way. She reminds him that eating rice is much better for your work day.
Mrs. Park has dodged the bullet of public embarrassment by calling the film crew and insisting they edit that bit where her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter out of the interview. They apparently agree.
At the end of the work day, Yunhu is changing his shirt in his office, Gukwha gives a quick knock and enters before he responds catching him in mid-change. He growls, a bit, about her barging in and she mutters “there wasn’t anything to see.” He hands her his shirt to be taken to the cleaners.
Ugyeong comes by to see her so they can go home together, as usual. As they go down the escalator, at the bottom is Yunjeong. She’s there for another driving lesson. Gukhwa remembers where she’s seen Yunjeong -- the police station, “you were in that fight at that night club.” This is yet another black mark against her in Ugyeong’s book, but she’s not to be thwarted and insists they go for her driving lesson. He doesn’t want to. Gukhwa helps her along by saying, “Good-bye, have a great time.”
Yunjeong shoves and pushes Ugyeong all the way to the car, and then points out how he should praise her for not wearing high heeled shoes, no cell phone and she’s in comfortable clothes. He’s actually mildly amused by this. She asks him his relationship with Gukhwa and he tells her it’s none of her business. After an uneventful drive, they get coffee and are leaning against the car. Yunjeong lets him in on what she has surmised about him. She has figured he’s a poor country boy in love with a rich girl, the evidence being that he gives her driving lessons and bought her coffee. He must want to marry her so he’ll be well positioned -- just like in the dramas on T.V. He chuckles at her audacity and tells her she’d better get in the car and get going before she says anything more.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Park has been trying to get Yunjeong on her cell phone, which has been oddly turned off. Why? Her odious fiance is back from New York waiting for her. When Yunjeong finally gets home, he is gone and she is underwhelmed by his return.
At the Hong home, Ugyeong arrives to find Gukhwa cleaning Yunhu’s shirt. “How was your date.” “It wasn’t a date.” Ugyeong is quite irritated that she is washing Yunhu’s shirt and scolds her to not bring his clothes home.
Sinhyeong & Yunhu go out for the evening (even though he really doesn’t want to). Old friends are there and the subject of his former flame, Sujeong, comes up. This so annoys Yunhu that he gets up and leaves. Sinhyeong is hurt by this because he’s clearly demonstrating more passion for his former girlfriend than his current one.
On the Okgeom front, after having gone and brawled with Hyseuk at her diner, she is quite sullen because Grandpa has chewed her out. Her husband, Mungu, takes her out to dinner and gently reminds her how grateful he is for her and wishes she didn’t suffer. He cheers her up and affectionately feeds her at the table like young lovers. Okgeom comes around and agrees that she is blessed to have a loving husband and wonderful kids, unlike the all alone Hyseuk. Hyseuk happens to be walking by the restaurant and spies this moment and is wistful for that kind of love.
Yunhu has not come home from his date with Sinhyeong. This prompts the family to wonder if he spent the night with Sinhyeong. He has not. He spent the night in his office, and he’s in a foul mood. The chipper Gukhwa begins her work day singing her “Miss Yang is Cute” song and dusting, not suspecting her boss to be already there. We end with him turning around in his chair and knocking Gukhwa off her feet in surprise.

Thanks for these spoilers, Teresa. What exactly did Yunhu's ex do to him that's got him so upset? Did she use him for money or something? Is that why he hates people like "Gukhwa," people who supposedly would do anything for money?

Terrific question, BAE. This has yet to be revealed! One thing I know, on last night's episode, the old friend mentioned he ran into Yunhu's ex, she was back from New York with her husband (and I think he said child) and that she looked good. If memory serves, he seemed to also mention something about her working on Broadway. That should make it interesting!

I missed a few episodes-can anyone tell me about the car-scratching? Did Gukhwa do it? It didn't look quite normal when she got up close to it at first, imo. She didn't watch all the scenes of the security tape, but I guess Yunhu watched it all. She signed the IOU, so I guess she was convinced. What a burden-$3000!

So she moved away leaving Yunhu so cold and almost heartless.

****EX-GIRLFRIEND SPOILER (in Episode 22)****
Apparently, Seong (the ex-girlfriend, I know I don't have that spelled correctly) "betrayed" Yunhu in some fashion because Sinhyeong confronts him with the discovery of her necklace in his office (Gukhwa was cleaning and it was sitting on the desk). Sinhyeong tells him "it's over" because he can't seem to get over his ex's betrayal. He tells her he used to be heartsick over her, but now the necklace is only hanging around out of habit. He tells her he can't stand to not have her in his life and she's the only one he has to hold.
_____________
Ginny -- Gukwha concludes that she scratched his car from the videotape. The tape shows her drunk, (which she never gets drunk so she might be inclined to believe she behaves radically when inebriated), squatted down at the back of the vehicle and her pulling out a coin from her pocket. HOWEVER, I don't recollect seeing actual footage of the scratching itself. She (and we) are lead to believe that from those facts. Now, of course, if she is NOT the culprit and Yunhu neglected to show her the real one... well... that's pretty doggone low!
