I know that these 2 episodes aired last week, but for the most part I am going to be a week behind in this drama. I taped yesterdays episodes and will probably see them during the weekend.
So in last week's episode Baron Moon's younger brother mentioned something about a Youth League that I think was involved in some kind of communist activities. Is he a communist? Is this drama based on true events? I really don't know how Korea split into North and South and was wondering if this drama gives some historical information as to how that happened.
I felt bad for poor Kehee locked up in that room. I really couldn't believe that after all Sukkyong's mother put her through, she still went back to work for them. I guess their need for money was greater and she was willing to make that sacrifice.
I wonder why Baron Moon's brother helped Ok-kyung (?) ?

Yes, Baron Moon's brother is a communist activist. He helped Oon-hyuk because he was one of his students, I believe. Or it was because he is a good guy. Look in this link Ducky posted in a "Bizarre Bunch" thread; it's to a news story about the historical accuracy of this series. www.asiamedia.ucla.edu/article.asp?parentid=48694I think that the broad outlines of how N and S split will be correct; it's the interpretation of historical characters, among other things, that are at issue. Right-wingers and anticommunists object to the sympathetic portrayal of leftists at the expense, they say, of downplaying the contributions of rightists in establishing the nation. The article makes some good points.
