BOO HOO - I was not anywhere NEAR a TV on either Friday night or Saturday so I missed both episodes and don't have a VCR to connect to my kitchen set. Then I had company on both Mon and this am so couldn't even view the reairings, if there were any? So --- HELP PLEASE - I would read the Spoiler page but I'm not sure which episode numbers we are on now in Chicago. So would someone please either tell me what happened or direct me to the correct Spoiler page to read. Thanks so much - co mowdo - kamsan hamnida - ;D [you do of course know my spelling of any Korean words is totally phonetic to the hearing of my aged ears]

Here are some bits. Deokchil's partner's wife was offended again and jealous. She got drunk and tried to seduce her ex, but he rejected her. Of course she thought he was having an affair with DC. Dumbo Taeja got his draft notice and hinted around that he'd like to live apart. He's afraid to tell his worshipping mother, so he just wants to sneak away. Jerk. His mother thinks its the little wife's fault for not letting him study at h ome. But she keeps catching him out with girls or drinking and DOESN'T tell his mother! Mr. Na told Hanam to stay away from Seolchil, so he did(and she really missed him) except he got drunk and asked Should he give up on her? I'll count to three, un, duhl , set (?) and he walks away. (cliffhanger) Seolchil has her back turned, then she turns around and raises her hand.....(Will she call him back??)

Kamsa hamnida -Thank you Ginny - I truly appreciate your kindness. I should be able to watch it this week-end - we'll be having company on both nights but they will be upstairs; I think I'll be able to come downstairs to my little TV - quietly slipping out of the room - LOL - thanks again and HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ;D

Here's another tidbit, about the wonderful human being Michill. She is trying on dresses for the wedding and Ilhan is watching. She decides she doesn't want to rent her dress, as (it appears) 99% of brides in Korea do--she wants to buy one since it's "only" a couple of thousand dollars. When he registers a serious complaint, she goes on to say that she wants the best wedding ever, and that she also needs other dresses: a dress to greet her guests, and one to wear to the reception. OH, and FIVE sets of jewelry: rubies, emeralds, sapphires, diamonds, and gold.

What does he see in her? How long can infatuation last? What is wrong with this girl anyway? She's so over the top -- maybe if Uncle had not disapproved so strongly, Ilhan would have not been "challenged" as to making this decision to marry Little Ms. B@#$%h -- On the other hand, anyone that is so spineless as Ilhan, deserves to be treated like this - if he's gonna take it - she's gonna dish it out! I don't see many sunny skies in their future -- Does Ilhan or his family have to pay for all these demands Michill is making? Boy, life with her will be one wonderful experience. Poor Soopyo/Uncle to have to live with her and she sure isn't his pick LOL ...

From now on everybody should refer to her as "ME-chill".

Good call, zorro. Soapy, you also missed (I think) a scene where Uncle is talking to ME-chill's father about how he is not going to move out (as the father thinks he should) because it's his home and why should he. I think he thinks he can whip Michill into shape. The father says, "You should get your own place. And I'm not saying this for my daughter; you don't deserve to have to live with her." LOL. Or something along those lines. Soapy, did you also see when Father and Michill made up? He took her out for a walk and for dinner and told her that he was sorry she lived all this time knowing about Seolchill and not being able to tell anyone about it. He said she was a very thoughtful girl. They hugged and Michill was as happy as a clam. I would have thought that would go some way toward filling up the hole inside her that she tried to fill with clothes and pretty things (as you may recall she self-diagnosed in an early episode). Seems nothing will cure Michill's selfishness. As I go on I keep thinking of other things. One very cute thing is that the "twins" have started bantering and wrestling like the gigantic 30-year-old babies they are. They were in the room they share, teasing each other about boys and each said how no boys like the other one, then they fell on the bed and wrestled and laughed. One of them said something about how maybe they really were twins after all because they are both such man-poison. (My term.)

RE Lucy's points on ME-chill :
I was hoping all those incidents were a prelude to her coming around (ala Nara) but I lost all sympathy for her as soon as she backslided with ill fated Ilhan. Did you see the look on his face when she came out with all her demands? Somebody needs to slap her.

I'm starting to think Ilhan is mentally challenged in some way. No one man can be that stupid and gullable without having some defect.

I'm starting to think Ilhan is mentally challenged in some way. No one man can be that stupid and gullable without having some defect. ;D Hee hee hee ---- I think it's called something else -- I don't want to get vulgar but almost anyone over age 15 [taken from the "warnings" before the show airs] knows that saying ... He's thinking with his hormones and not his brain evidently and it will probably come to a screeching halt one of these days ... after they wed ... Thanks to all for writing about those scenes that I missed. I wish I would have seen the one between Michill and her dad. That must have been very touching. I think Michill has to go through some real hard knocks to start thinking of OTHER people's feelings and not just herself. This being a K-drama, I am sure at some point she will have an epiphany of sorts and start to become a more sympathetic person. But I have really disliked her character from the beginning and so far, I haven't changed my mind. As I said in a much earlier post: "Michill gives me A Chill" ... still does. [glow=red,2,300]HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL![/glow]
