can anyone tell me what happened in last saturday and sunday episodes.
Since I have a little time right now, I'll go ahead and do a recap for Sunday's episode (#16). The recap I did above is only of scenes that were deleted from the TV version.
Episode 16 (Sun) - Summary (Deleted Scenes posted above.)
(Following items not necessarily in order.)
After working his night shift, Dad comes home in the early morning, picks up the newspaper at his gate. He greets his wife, checks on T-chil in her room, then takes his newspaper to the bathroom. Opening the door, Grams is using the toilet. Mom is upset that Grams hasn't locked the door; Grams could care less. Mom tells Grams she shouldn't use the bathroom when Dad is home. What am I supposed to do when nature calls? I'm an old lady...he isn't going to see anything anyway. Grams stands there pulling up her underwear, her pants, her top down over both.
Mom gets dressed nicely to go out. M-chil is in her room shopping for expensive clothes items on internet. Mom tells her to take care of Grams and T-chil. Are you going out to meet someone? Yes, she is.
Mom stops at a gift store and buys a large fruit basket.
Dad goes to T-chil's room, tells her they are leaving. They go to a café where Dad has her call Taeja to come and meet them. T-Chil calls several times. They wait and wait. Taeja is with his friends, trying to get out of it. He turns to run away. His friends grab him and drag him to the café, telling him to be a man and face his situation.
Dad is extremely calm and polite to Taeja, even addressing him formally. Taeja insists that he would be more comfortable if Dad would address him informally, which Dad agrees to. Dad asks him what his plans are, if he cares for T-Chil, or was it only a mistake? Dad does not blame Taeja, that both of them made a mistake. Taeja tells Dad that he does love Taeja, but the huge obstacle is his mother. Since he is her only son, she has great hopes for him and depends on his future. He cannot go against his mother's wishes. Dad asks him if he would marry T-Chil if the adults made the arrangements. Taeja says Yes, if his mother agrees.
Meanwhile, Mom has gone to see Taeja's mother, fancy gift in hand. Witch-Mom is her usual arrogant, nasty self. Mom tries being as sweet and compliant as she can possibly muster up before Witch-Mom, but it is useless. The visit ends with WitchMom telling Mom to leave and throwing the basket across the room, fruit rolling everywhere.
Alone at home with T-Chil, Dad gets the idea that he is taking T-Chil to WitchMom, for her to live there. They arrive and Dad drags T in, telling WM that since T now belongs to her family, she is going to live with them from now on. He will bring T's things over later. Of course, WM has a fit over this, not wanting anything to do with T-Chil. Dad leaves. WM is mean and nasty to T-chil, who pleads that she will be a good DIL and will do whatever WM asks of her. It ends up that they struggle as WM tries to drag T out the door. T holds on with all her might to doorjambs, crying that her father will kill her if she comes home...she has no place to go.
Next we see WM dragging T into the family yard, leaving her back at her home. Dad grabs T and drags her back to WitchMom's. They keep dragging her back and forth many times, till finally she collapses at home when Dad is trying to take her back to WM's yet one more time. Mom cries and pleads with Dad, saying she will take care of T-Chil herself and not to put her through all this anymore.
Ilhan is feeling badly for S-Chil. He tries to call her, but she does not answer his calls. M-Chil tries calling Ilhan, but he will not take her calls. Ilhan goes to the gym and runs on a treadmill. He flashes back to the three of them at the gate and the look of shock and pain on S-Chil's face as she realizes her sister has set her up for the kill with Ilhan as the bait. For the first time he seems to really feel how deeply he has betrayed S-Chil and to see a glimpse of what kind of person M-chil is for having done such an unforgivable thing to her own sister and to him. He runs himself to exhaustion.
On the training exercise, S-Chil listens to Ilhan's message. He apologizes and wants to see her, to talk with her.
D-Chil at home. Hubby is home early again and D-chil fixes him dinner. He comments that wives like to make dinner for their husbands. D-chil says wives don't like it and wish husbands would stay out late. She makes dinner for him; he asks about the children; she tells him she has ordered Chinese food for the kids.
During the night, she slips out of bed and calls her lover yet again. Hubby stands in the shadows and listens to his wife saying how she loves and misses Loverboy.
The next day at work, Hubby calls home and tells his wife he is going directly to Busan and will not be coming home first to pick up clothes. He will not return until the following day.
Later that night, he watches his wife sneaking out of their home. He follows her, seeing her meet up with Loverboy, who arrives in a taxi. They walk to a nice, high rise motel and get a room. Hubby follows them. He locates their room by calling his wife's cellphone and hearing it ringing. He is tempted to burst into the room but rethinks it and goes into a stairwell. He slumps down and cries, knowing his wife is making love with Loverboy. He gathers himself together and goes out to his car....waiting.
In the room, D-chil is undressed and in bed with Loverboy. Next scene is both of them dressed and ready to leave. Loverboy tells her that they need to stop seeing each other...that they both have families and shouldn't be doing this...and the reason he came out to meet her was to tell her it is over. D-Chil is stunned. She has just totally betrayed her husband in the ultimate way with a man whose intention was to break up with her?!!!! The enormity and futility—and her own foolishness—of this affair hits her full force. She slaps him hard, grabs her things and runs out of the room. Loverboy runs after her. As she runs out the lobby, Loverboy close behind, standing before her is her husband. D-Chil is horrified as she's never been before. Helplessly caught in the snare...

Episode 16 (Sun) - Deleted Scenes
After Mom comes home from groveling (fruit basket in hand) before Witch-Mom, she drags herself dejectedly into the family room, where Grams is sitting, preening. Since Witch-Mom threw the expensive fruit all over the room, it seems T-chil's mom picked it up and brought it home in a bag.
Grams, of course, starts ragging on poor Mom. Mom yells back and drops the bag of fruit in front of Grams as Mom proceeds on into her bedroom. Mom flops down on the floor, pulls a blanket up over her head and starts loudly crying out her heart over T-chil and Witch-Mom. At the table, Grams is scarfing down the fruit. Hearing her daughter crying so bitterly, Grams goes to the door and peeks in on her daughter. She then closes the door and walks away.
Dad comes home with T-chil (from meeting with Taeja at the café). Hearing Mom weeping so uncontrollably, T-Chil runs to comfort her mother, while Dad asks Grams what's going on. T-Chil cries bitterly, too, feeling responsible for her mother's anguish.
Dad comes into the bedroom, sending T-chil out. Dad gently pulls back the blanket from covering his wife's head and talks comfortingly with her. She sits up and it seems she recounts her experience with Witch-Mom. Mom ends up being horribly frustrated and having difficulty accepting the whole situation. Outside her parents' room, T-Chil listens.
Taeja at home at the table with his mother. It is a lengthy conversation and my guess is that he tells her he loves T-chil and wants to marry her if his mother will give him permission. Witch-Mom explodes at whatever Taeja has just said to her. In equal parts disbelief, anger, and frustration she starts yelling at him. She grabs a broom and starts chasing him around the room. Eventually, he runs out the door, leaving his mother a frustrated heap having a fit on the floor.
(Not sure if this was deleted or not.) Ilhan must be coming back from lunch with his workmates. He notices M-Chil standing alone across the street. Their eyes meet. Ilhan turns away and goes into his building. We then seen cuts back and forth of Ilhan working in his office and M-chil waiting and waiting outside across the street. It seems she waits a very long time. Finally, she gives up and leaves.
A brief scene of S-Chil and the troops doing more of their bivouacing/training exercises.
