It looks like Seol-chil realizes that her aide's dedication to her is not just military loyalty. Now that his tour of duty is about up, he'll no longer be Sgt. Yeon, but civilian Ha-nam, and the two can get together without it being fraternization. That speech he gave about "Emptying your heart to let new love in" definitely has Seol-chil thinking. But, this being a drama, they can't just get together; there's got to be complications. I'm curious as to what the complications will be. Image from Creidesca at Soompi

I'm going to venture a few guesses at what the complications will be:
1-Slowly walking away at snail like speed in deep emotional distress
2-Truck drivers who will appear from thin air just as characters are walking by
3-Trying to get parents to approve of marriage
These are just a few, I'll try to think up some more.

That scene above is what I remember at the end of Fridays's episode. Saturday began with the older sister running out of a building to stand face to face with her husband. I now realize that all of episode 16 was skipped, but the synopsis still left out what happened at this moment between SC and the Sgt. Or was that edited out?
If they're extending this series, you would hope they might stop all the "editing" so that we could better follow the story. Of course, part of it is my own fault for watching tennis and taping ICS instead. I had missed some beginnings of other episodes that way, and figured that happened this time as well. I had no idea we missed an entire episode until just now.
Thanks very much Soju for filling in. Strange thing is, part of that recap I remember in last night's episode, specifically Ilhan on the treadmillā¦ I wonder if Tuesday's rerun will be 17 as well.

I'm curious as to what the complications will be. Age, for one. Plus she has to grow to like him, doesn't she? Just because she now realizes his feelings for her, doesn't mean any emptying of the heart has to take place right away. Which is where the real drama begins, I think.

The relationship between SeolChil and Sgt Yeon is in some ways quite similar to Rosy Life's Youngie and Dr Ji. Both men are 4 years younger than LTR and in both situations she has to empty her heart/feelings for another man. Both from the same writer.
But in this drama,SeolChil may face more complications than just age.For one,her father is set on her marry that Navy guy. Also Sgt Yeon is still a student. His Mum may not approve as well. This drama is 80 epsds.....so there will definitely be lots of twists and turns...to keep the couple apart......

I really like this guy. Yeon Hanam, is it? He's incredibly sweet, considerate, and a bit of a romantic, dare I say. The smile that Seolchil had when she saw him in today's episode. While she smiles oh so brightly when she's with Ilhan, there's more respect and a more pure relationship with Hanam. I really wish that they would go through all of those difficulties so that Seolchil realizes how wrong Ilhan is for her and what a wonderful mate Hanam would be. He knows her so well, I can't imagine anyone completing her better (unless of course the writer of this drama decided to introduce another character!).

He is the best character, yet by far, (next LTR of course), in this show.

The actor playing Sgt Yeon is Park Hae Jin.This is his very first drama, and already he is getting so much attention.I guess the pd must have casted him in this role b/c his personality is so similar to Sgt Yeon. Will his popularity last? I guess we will find out after his next drama.......when we find out whether he can really act.

He appeared in "Supersize Me" which just ended about a week or two ago. He played the manager of the restaurant, "Gallery". That show aired at about 5:30 PM daily.

No, the manager was Lee Sang-wu: Not Park Hae-jin:

Wait, I'm confused. The guy who met Seolchill at the gate and went out for drinks with her is the same guy who was her secretary? I thought it was a totally different guy! If not, he looks (and acts) completely different out of uniform. I was assuming that every guy who works for her ends up falling in love with her, and this was maybe one from before.

Is that the guy who called Seolchil 'Nuna'.He is a totally different guy from Sgt Yeon.If I am not wrong,I think he was the guy Sgt Yeon had a fight with b/c he sort of insulted SeolChil while they were cleaning the tanks.

Sure enough, same guy. Well, he sort of explained himself on Saturday. He's being aggressive and not as diffident/shy/Seolchill-worshipping as before because he wants to make her see him as a man. I thought it was quite adorable, after all, once he explained that as soon as she had him in her heart he would go back to being respectful. He sees that he has a lot of ground to cover and is trying to do it as quickly as possible. This is the second time Lee Tae-ran has played an "older woman" pursued by a cute younger man who is somewhat offbeat in his manner of pursuit. The other time was in "Rosy Life," when that cute little metrosexual from "My Precious Child" was after her.
