Thanks sdjumble for the clarification. Yes.Soju, you are right. The Vietnam War ended in 1975.This incident happened just before SeoChil was born.Army dad promised to look after his buddy's unborn child.I wonder what happened to SeoChil's real Mum.

No, he was killed in an operation against the North Korean guerillas after they came back from Vietnam. I was wondering if that was the case.

It's kind of hard coming in on the tail end of the conversation but I just had to put a word in for my favorite character on the series. I think she's so pretty and she's got a great personality. Go Seochill! No matter what happens, you know a person like her will stand strong. That's why she's my favorite.

Welcome to the board, tenshi77! And yes, welcome as well to the unofficial “Lee Tae-ran Fan Club.” ;D Actress LTR (who is playing the role of Seolchill) has been great in every role she’s taken on. If you missed her as “Hana” in the comedy/drama “Who’s My Love,” you missed a treat. There, she played an aggressive (but slightly ditzy) model. Great fun!

She was so classy and dressed so well and she could evoke any emotion out of me with ease. Lee Tae Ran is one of my favorite actresses. Like Mikey said, any role that she's in is what makes a show worth watching. Truth be told, that's the only reason I watch ICS anyway: because it has LTR in it!

I agree. I think she's why I could keep watching My Rosy Life. Otherwise I would've given up on it, so depressing.
How can her character sit thru a whole dinner with that sailor/marine shouting his end of the conversation? aigu! She should make the marriage agreement conditional on his toning down.

LOL ;D The drama was MSMD - had to look it up since I just could not remember the title -- OMR and BB kept coming to mind but I spaced on MSMD ... wonder why? LOL ... might be I was so glad when it ended because it took so long and had such a strange ending at least IMO .. Anyway, now you know which child actor I mean.

The previews didn't look good at all. I hope Seo-chill's father doesn't pass away otherwise she'll be left with such regret. Finding out about her being adopted must be incredibly hard, but she knows that she loves her family more than anything.

A big thumbs down to whichever editor chose to use those clips for the preview of next week's show. I wish I hadn't seen that, and especially out of Michil's nasty mouth.

I feel you. I really hate those previews... They help only when you know you're not going to watch the episode the next time the show airs, but sometimes they spoil everything for you. And to hear Mi-chill, the daughter that never even cared about her family, professing some sort of compassion and pointing fingers at Seo-chill disgusted me.

Michill disgusts me MOST OF THE TIME - She is so self-centered she cannot even begin to see anyone else's pain -- It's a hard decision to make about telling a child he/she is adopted unless you start right from the beginning so that the child knows how "special" he/she is -- almost all adopted children want to meet their bio parents if possible. Not that they want to walk away from the parents who raised them but because they are truly curious as to what their mother and father look like and what kind of people they are and why they were put up for adoption. This is very natural and in this country, we have come to understand that it's the child's right to that information, most especially medical history - is so important. I think if they had told Seolchill the truth from the beginning when she was a small child, she would have felt much differently about her situation. Right now she is in shock - not even acting like herself; her dad should not lie to her about her mother abandoning her - by saying no she didn't makes Seolchill think she was only taken into his family to assuage his guilt over the accidental shooting of her father. Excuses could be made for the mother -- no way to support herself etc. possibly even the truth - I don't understand why there is so much lying going on all the time in these stories - I find lying to be an extremely disgusting action and the truth usually is a better idea all around anyway. Just MHO -- (Soapy, I fixed your bold tags. Lucy)

well just because it "ended" in 1975 doesn't mean there weren't troops still there.... and yeah she is connected to the buddy's family (don't know how far behind me you are in episodes so don't want to say anything else)
