Wow Captain Video, reading your recap was like watching it over again with different eyes. Did you tape it or do you have this incredible memory? I missed some of the little details that you explained beautifully. Once again I am impressed with your writing skills.

The scene opens on a high school girl, in uniform, sitting on the stone stairs adjacent to the athletic field where her classmates are merrily running around in the sunshine. As the young lady (Hyewon) sits wistfully watching her classmates, she thinks longingly, "If my heart can continue beating long after I'm old, I want to find love that's tragic and beautiful. If my heart......I would run the streets of the world with the one I love." A couple more variations, and a gentle rain begins to fall, forcing her to find shelter under a nearby tree. She then expresses the desire to meet her true love during a rain just like this.
Suddenly the scene cuts to a man in a tuxedo (Minwoo) running along the sidewalk into a hospital yelling, "Eunhye!". At this point we see that he is running after a gurney containing a body covered with sheets and trailing a bloodstained clear plastic sheet. The young man tries, but is prevented from going past the doors into the emergency room where we see the operation in progress. Almost immediately, the monitors shriek the constant sound that accompanies the flat line on the screen.
The scene immediately cuts to a floral display sitting atop a casket, and the camera pulling back reveals a group of mourners standing around the casket. After a few moments, a voice from off-screen yells, "Cut!", and the mourners scatter about the set. The director calls to his assistant and inquires as to whether the flowers for the next scene have arrived , but he is informed that they are late. We see a woman (Hyewon, 5 years later than the opening scene) running through the crowded city sidewalk carrying a large floral display with the skill of a running back (rugby for non-American readers). She arrives moments later to be lightly scolded by the director and then goes to attend to the flowers on the set with her friend/roommate (whose name I didn't catch). Quickly she asks her friend to finish up because she has to go to the airport to meet her boyfriend (Jungjae).
We briefly see the inside of a jetliner and find Minwoo reading some art magazine shortly before landing. The scene then shows Hyewon entering the terminal at the airport. As she sees her intended, she smiles and waves as she passes the barricade to meet her man. Just coming out of the passenger side of the doors, emerges Minwoo and as they pass each other and bump shoulder momentarily, time slows down and the only sound is that of the beating heart of love. Steps after the contact, they both turn to check the other out , but there seems to be a flash of recognition on Minwoo's part. Hyewon and Jungjae reunite and leave the airport.
Meanwhile, after departing the airport, Minwoo stops over at the office of an architect who seems to have been a partner in the business at some point, but Minwoo announces that he has given up photography......Anyway, they go out for lunch and talk a bit only to drop Minwoo off at his residence. Apparently, he spent some time in Italy after the accident in the opening of the story. When he arrives back at the home, he begins taking the covers off the furniture and raising huge amounts of dust. Underneath the cover on the sofa, is a small stuffed bear, a female judging by the dress and hat that it wears.
That evening, Jungjae and Hyewon are out for a romantic reunion after his trip and he presents her with an engagement ring. Hyewon does not give him an answer, saying that it would lack excitement if she were to immediately accept the proposal. At the same time she reveals that she often thinks about the man that donated the heart that she now possesses. Jungjae makes it clear that he doesn't like her to think about it so much and hopes that she won't make him wait too long for an answer.
The next day, Hyewon and her roommate go to the mountains to photograph flowers (she is a florist by trade) and the roommate comes for support and to look at guys. During the afternoon, the two of them get separated and Hyewon ends up running into Minwoo on the trail. He eradicates a hornet that is threatening her and informs her that she should thank him for saving her life, when all she can hear is the loud beating of her heart. They go their separate ways only to meet up again as he answers her cries for help after falling down an embankment. She has sprained her ankle and he helps her out of the woods, but they get caught in a downpour. As she's standing under a shelter with this man that makes her heart pound with joy, she remembers her high school desire to meet her true love under a tree in the rain..... They make their way to hotel on the mountain and spend the night.
All the usual shy awkwardness is displayed throughout their encounter during the evening, but they become friends. She does tell him that she's married, but he doesn't believe it. The next day, as they resume their descent from the mountain, she reveals that she is a florist and that she is more comfortable with him now that she has seen that he avoids stepping on flowers on the trail. Another rain and they head for shelter. As the rain falls Hyewon wonders aloud, "A tiger gets married when it rains, or is it a fox?". This question rings a solid chord with Minwoo......
During the episode, there are flashbacks showing his previous relationship to the deceased, Eunhye. We learn that they met seeking shelter from a rainstorm. At the same time, Hyewon's boyfriend, Jungjae, is trying to find out the identity of the donor of the heart that Hyewon received. We find out at the end of the episode that contrary to the information they had been assuming to be true, the donor was not a man, but in fact a woman.
Sorry if I missed a couple of details, but that should get you up to speed for episode 2.
