Hey, I don't remember any ballroom scene either! On the other hand, I have confirmed my suspicions and whilst reading another forum, it was revealed that KBC is doing a bit of editing in order to fit the commercials in. Sometimes the edits are easy to figure out by information revealed in the next scene, but sometimes the stuff that's cut out is crucial to understanding the plot. I caught this from a discussion on the first episode of the Bizarre Bunch and we all realized that without that little snippet of information, it totally changed the character from an irresponsible dufus, to a life saving hero. I don't know, I'm really new to these shows, but this does seem to be a little problematic in the sense of comprehending a show based on subtitles. Actually, I was getting frustrated with myself for spacing out on a periodic tangential thought brought about some dialogue I had just read, and after regaining the moment, realizing I had missed some crucial part of the story. Glad to know that it's not always due to my ADD. ;D Oh man, they can get pretty damn crazy sometimes with their editing...'My Sweetheart, My Darling' and 'Rebirth' were also a couple of victims of bad editing

v :-/ I am confused, I have seen all of the episodes and do not remember which one the ballroom scene happen. Was it the first? It was one of the first ones. I don't know which one because my husband is watching a historical drama on SBS (we have TAN satellite) and it overlaps half of the show, so I usually only get to see the last half. :-( If you saw the scene where the father (grandpa from WML), brother and the now fiance sitting at a table, then it was the same "ballroom scene." It was actually a fairly long sequence. I can't believe they edited it out because that really is crucial to why they are engaged - it's the REASON they are engaged! It shows that she doesn't love him (or even know him THAT well) and doesn't want anything to do with him, but was essentially strong-armed into agreeing with the engagement. m

LOL ...since he's going to Asia (Japan, Korea, China) this week for a month, I'm going to have to record it for him, but it's oooohhh so tempting just to watch Bi instead! ;-)

captainvideo Thanks for the information about editing. wow! where have I been, I have watched these dramas a long time and never knew that happen. I sometimes space out when reading subtitles and think thats my fault if I miss something. I guess sometimes its the editing. see I'm not so spacey after all. Have to go tell the family!!!! ha ha

"At your service day and night, we do the job and do it right, Aaaaaa-Acme!" No, wait, that's not it. "At you service night and day, if we don't get 'em, you don't pay, Aaaaaa-Acme!" No, wait, that's not it either...... Just glad to have been of some use, Drama Karen. I just happened to stumble upon the information and thought it'd be neighborly to pass it along. ;D

I like this show. It took a bit of getting used to and now that I'm starting to get into it, I'll be sticking with it.

I like the soundtrack a lot. I might buy it. Doing so has become a bad habit for me.

NeoEric cleaned up so nicely ... the cinematography is unique... the music is haunting ... and the end words to last nite's episode was chilling .... knowing that his brother has died, asking if Eunuch (sp?) should go with him. Your're right, Bae ... it did take some getting used to so I hope that those who weren't interested might come back... especially if the subtitles can be read.

Yeah, he really did clean up great, Kathleen. Mmm, another cute pretty-man to look at. I like his eyes, so long and thin, and he has beautifully sculptured lips, too, though they're a little too big, to my taste. Just talking aesthetically. Man-o-Manischewitz, when Korean men are good-looking, they're REALLY good-looking. EUNUCH! LOL! Eun-suk. You did that on purpose, Kathleen! I'm sad at the thought that Minku/Mingu is going to die. It makes me so sad when I think about him lying there in the hospital all ruined for nothing, and that vision that Bokgu had of him saying, "Don't be sad! I'm really happy--I have Eunsuk!" made me cry, too.

When does this show air in Los Angeles? I've caught portions of two episodes and I'm hooked. I tuned in last night at the time I thought it would be showing, but it wasn't. I'd like to know the regular schedule. Thanks.

It looks like this show's airing in Los Angeles on Mon-Tues evenings, at 9:40pm–10:25pm on station KXLA-44. com1.runboard.com/bcjkdramasincalifornia.fdiscussion.t132L.A. is about a month ahead of Chicago, so if you live in California, you'll find the discussion on the California board more current. And, just like here, you'll find some real nice folks on the California board, too.
