Hello everyone, I watched the show 'Knocked Out By Love' for the first time today, and I wanted to express some of my thoughts concerning it. I think that so far the story is very interesting and well-done. I am curious as to see what happens to Minku as well as how Bogku copes with all of the events surrounding him. All of the characters presented seem to be complex and interesting, so I must say that this show makes KBC all the more entertaining.

When did this show start? That is, if you're in Chicago and what's the air time?

I was too busy watching to check the clock, but it was somewhere around 8 (PM), I think.

When did this show start? That is, if you're in Chicago and what's the air time? Tonight was the first episode in this series. There will be 20 in all. It will air every Wednesday and Thursday starting at 7:45 pm to 9:00 pm. The reason for the odd start time is that there are no commercial interruptions in the video and due to the nature of commercial television in the U.S. we must insert our advertising.

I watched only about 20 minutes... it's well filmed. But... you just had to know there would be a 'but'... one of the reasons I've loved the Korean dramas was the generational interactions between the characters. I love the parents, brothers, sisters, aunts... and especialy the grandparents. I may be wrong, but I didn't get a sense that such characters would be a part of this drama. And for reasons I don't understand, I was able to read the subtitles better... much better, than the 6:00 drama.

Well, this show is not exactly my cup of tea, but I'll stick with it tonight and see what happens. I was very confused, for one thing. There was no exposition, and there was little to explain who these people were. I guess that's common in a multi-episode drama, though. I didn't really like the ultra-modern, less-domestic style, but that's only because it's not what I'm used to, and I don't want to be an old fogey. However, I will put on my old-fogey persona now and tell Bi, or Rain (billed here as Jung Ji Hoon), to PLEASE SHAVE and stop acting like ERIC. Why-oh-why do they keep making these troubled, rebellious characters so stereotyped? I mean with the thing sticking out of his mouth (it's a lollipop here, but it could be a ciggie or a toothpick), the perpetual stubble, the pooched-out lips signifying sulky coolness, the gang of friends all running around him like hero worshippers currying favor . . . ? Spare me. I hope this character develops, otherwise this neo-Eric will be dog's nose to me. It's surprising that he looks that way, because I've seen pictures of Bi in his pop-star incarnation, and he can be very cute and peppy looking. He reminds me of the guy who played Jin-kook in "My Precious Child." But he's transformed himself here, at least visually. He's said to be a pretty good actor, but I'm reserving judgment for now.

Hi everyone. I am a new member to the board, but not new to Korean dramas. My daughter started me watching them, they were popular at her dormitory at UIC. My first drama was Yellow Handkerchief, I have been hooked ever since. I watched Knocked Out On Love and was somewhat confused. I'm OK with the artsy dramas, but I do prefer the ones that are family oriented. I know I will watch every week and keep up with you all. By the way, was the brother who jumped off the ledge the same as Eunsook's dead boyfriend. I'm already confused by the characters.

I admittedly prefer the family oriented ones because they give me a closer feel for life in Korea, but the music and story did hook me a bit with Knocked Out By Love. I'm a sucker for dramatic soundtracks.

omygosh, Lucy ... you nailed it! LOL neo-Eric=Dogs Nose. Where's grandma when we need her! NeoEric (NE)needs a good talk with Grandpa from WML ...and if he doesn't straighten out he can be confined in Happy House so he can learn how to be nice.

Oh, yes, Kathleen. The joy of finding a reason to use "dog's nose"! Did I hallucinate, or was that actually Grandpa from WML toward the end of the episode? As the head of the large corporation, at that meeting, I think.

Lucy - He does shave : And it looks like he works out, too: I think that there are actually only 16 episodes, but that there were supposed to be 20; at least, there's only 16 eps shown on the KBS site for this show.

Ok, just saw the re-airing, I guess it's around 1:30 in the afternoon on Thurs/Fri....seems interesting so far, there's just a lot of weird cuts though, like when the vans are driving along side each other and she's reaching out for his hand, then suddenly it just cuts to, what looks like an opening credit, that was weird...anyways yeah, I'm going to stick with this and see how it turns out, I've been out of the K-Drama for too long.
