It's been a week, but I still expect the BB theme song to come on after KBS news ends. That tune was the signal for a half hour of escapism and fun, and now since it's not playing anymore I have BB "withdrawl symptoms".
This new show is probably fine eventually, but for now it's just not measuring up.
I actually started watching Love Supersize me, which I could take or leave when BB was on. I guess I lead a bizarre life.

For what's it's worth, I was disappointed with "Pure in Heart" until about episode 12 or 13, when the character relationships finally started coming together. That was when I began to like it.
So, do give the new show a few weeks trial before you give up on it. It's not another BB, but it's still proving to be a pretty decent daily K-drama - way, way better than "My Sweetheart" or "My Precious Child."

Ducky You come up with the best stuff. I miss this drama so much seeing that almost made me cry. Anybody out there have any word on a dvd of BB? I'd pay anything for it. I wish the "powers that be" would buy a clue. Does anybody out there remember the nickname Suky used to call Jongnam? Not "Mrs. Chief", there was another one. I'm going crazy trying to remember it. Anyone? Thanks againDucky for the trip down memory lane. Have a great day and BB Forever.

Ducky Thanks so much for the link. I could watch that all day. Do you think they'll ever release a DVD on this series? Do you know where we can get a copy of this series with subtitles? I have it on tape from episode 111, but I'd love to own the whole series. Any information? Please let us know, I can't be the only one going cold turkey. Thanks again for the link.

mtlandis I am a member of that forum. I think it's great that you guys are doing this. I'm sure you're aware how desparate drama addicts (me) are to get their hands on this series. You are performing a real service here and I love you. Thanks for the info. I'll log on to the Philly board and sign up to rent BB. Before I do that, though, I have to make sure my son (I'm too old to figure it out) is able to do the copies. I'm not sure if he has the electroic equipment needed. Thanks again, I really appreciate your input.

mtlandis Did you not hear me say that I'm old. Now you've made me say it twice. Thanks again. You're my new hero. You've given me new hope. I get to see Suky again and all his angst. And Nasty, Nasty Nara. How can I ever thank you. I know, I'll carry you on my back.

I'm going to join the video club. One question, well two, are the episodes subtitled and second are they edited? Anyone know? Yes and no ;D Yes they are subtitled. They were recorded from TV directly to DVD. No they are not edited. WYBE is public television - no comercials and no editing. Incidentally - everything in the VC is subtitled. Most of us do not speak or understand enough Korean to survive without them.

mtlandis Hey, I'm there. Better edited than no BB at all. I'm going to the post office tomorrow morning to send you my money order. Being a holiday weekend I won't expect miracles with the mail. I'll just have to be patient. One other question; if I order the first 20 episodes how many dvd's are they on? Thanks so much for answering my questions that must have been asked again and again. Thanks for your kindness.
