That's really putting it too mildly. I am getting quite obsessed with 'Bizarre Bunch'. I usually don't care for spoilers, but now I find myself watching all the VOD's, and trying to figure out whats going on sans subs. Then I go around to all the boards posting stuff, just so I won't seem like some know-it-all by posting it all in one place. And then, watching it on ch41, so I can catch the subtitles -- while watching the VOD again to check what's been editied out. I had today off, and I reckon I spent a good four hours surfing the various B Bunch Boards and watching the latest VOD's. Probably MORE than four Hrs. Geez, I need help.

Hey Soju, I can really empathize; I wasn't particularly taken with the first episodes and then lost track when I couldn't read the subtitles but I'm hooked now. Actually, I'm finding that I have all but forsaken primetime network programming altogether (but I did get a huge laugh out of Scrubs which aired after the "W" show). By the way, did you happen to notice Haein on the Spongeman show tonight? So, what you seem to be saying is that it just keeps getting worse from here on in and I'm really going to get a Berlitz course to learn Korean?

Well, we can hope that WOCH's power issue will soon be resolved in our favor. I find that dramas are more satisfying when yuo actually know whats going on, rather than just guessing.

Hi Soju and captainvideo, I'm glad to know that I am not the only one in Chicago who prefers channel 41 to network shows. I'm also thinking about learning Korean, just for the fun of it, not because I need to learn it. Some of the programs I like are Screening Humanity and the Golden Bell Challenge. I am a high school teacher and I wish my kids were as smart as the Korean kids. By the way, if you go into the general board you will find that channel 41 received a temporary power, whatever it is called. Read for yourself to find out the information. Have a good day, school starts soon.

I really like it, too, a lot. There is always a period of a couple of weeks at the beginning of a new drama during which I feel like "all these new people" are usurpers taking the place of the previous drama's characters, so it's hard to get used to them. That was certainly the case here. But now I'm getting really fond of Ki-woong, Jong-nam, and Sukhyun, especially KW, who is a complete honey. (So nice, plus appealingly goofy. Though, did everyone notice his hairy fingers when he was hugging his dad last night? He's the hairiest Korean I've ever seen, LOL.) Soju, it sounds like you're becoming obsessed. Nothing wrong with that! What is it that is intriguing you so much? I'm curious. It is a funny and well-acted show.

I haven't been like this about a daily drama since 'Yellow Handkerchief'. I think the main thing that appeals to me about this show (besides Kim Song-un is the way they continually offer up little hints about the "Family Secret"; just enough to satisfy us, but witholding enough to keep us guessing. In some shows, such slow plot development would make the show drag, but here i keeps me coming back for more. Also, all the plot lines are interrelated, which makes the show less prone to red herrings, Bok-soons, and Band-aids. [For those new to dramas, those last two are characters which appear out of the blue, seem to portend a big plot twist, and then are written out without ever having done anything.]

LOL! I forgot about Band-aid! what was his real name, Ban-dae or something? Man, he had us really worried for a few weeks, and then he just went away. I say, "What the h---?," all over again!

I love the Bizarre Bunch. I think i was into it the first day itself. It's so lively and all the characters complement eachother so well. The writers seem to know how to incorporate the right amount of humor into the show and their characters. All-time favorite shows are Dae Jang-geum, Bodyguard and YH, of course.

The credits make me laugh. What are all those people saying to the camera? Each has an individual attitude.

I'm with you Lucy, I love the opening theme. All the actors are way over the top with their characters (and how about that slap Grandma gives Minsook at the end in their long group shot?). Here's my imaginary script: Nara & Jaemin: *Nara extends hand, Jaemin takes a bow* "Welcome to the Well Being Home Network. Shop often and in large quantities!" Byung-do and Jae-ok: *backs stiffen, glare into camera* "Harumph! None of you look like you recycle!" Okdoo: *giggle, hands on cheeks* "I fall in love as easy as a petal falls off a rose" *giggle again*
I can't think of anymore -- but I'll bet everyone else can come up with better!

LOL!!!! Brilliant, Teresa. Is Okdoo the whispery sister? That is so great. I couldn't figure out why Nara seems so friendly in the credits when she's really such a . . . tough cookie, shall we say, but you've imagined a good explanation.
I don't know, but I think what's coming from Jae-do is jolly chuckling, and from Ki-woong, though he isn't speaking, is something in the spirit of, "Hi! Need any help? [rubs hands together]."

I had never noticed this, but someone on the Philly board pointed out that when they are shown standing around together at the end of the opening credits, Jong-nam isn't there.

Jongnam is in between Kiwoong, haein, and Sukhyun. How is she not there? Anyway, I'll take a closer look tonight.
