Ilho is "that bastard" again, isn't he? In Who's My Love, that was younger Grandma's name for him, but this time he really deserves it. He charges into someone's place of business and rants about them having the gall to try to make a living. What are they supposed to do, just die, because Almighty Ilho disapproves? He sounded indignant that they are persisting in the face of his anger. Egad, is he the king? And having his guys grab Yeo-jin and march her out - maybe he's the devil. I hope he's punished!! Then he tells Sung-min that he'll squash them, SM says they'll get up every time, so Ilho says, see, he's holding a grudge against me! Huh? That psychotic takes their will to live as a personal affront! I'm gagging here.

LOL, Ginny, you're so right. His whole body language is arrogant, too, it just makes me want to smack him good even when he's sitting in a chair, doing nothing. This guy is a better actor than I thought he was. You have to wonder how a guy gets to be like this. His mother said something like, my husband never let me say a word. She was talking to Ilho's wife (Jinhee?) after she woke up to find she'd taken all her stuff out of her cabinets and having one of her lucid moments, told the wife to send her to the nursing home. Anyway, I'll bet the dad was a real prize. I love when Ilho wears the black shirt/white tie combo, 'cause it suits his gangster personality to a tee. Booo! Hisssss! Bo

I too found it disdainful how insolent Ilho doesn't even want the Han family to earn a living for themselves. The guy is a good actor. The only thing that annoys me for real is the "hahaha" forced laugh he always lets out. :-)

This actor has been in a ton of dramas, including some not subtitled. I always enjoy watching him. He certainly plays the roll of an arrogant bastard well in this one. I hope he gets what's coming to him in the end because what he did to the Han family, and what he continues to do, is just disgraceful.

LOL, Bo. THAT's THE ONE! This sounds like one of the dramas where happy ending prevail, so I have no doubt that Sungmin and his family will be victors in the end.

His mom could kill him, and then get off on an insanity plea...

Good idea, except that she seems afraid of him. (More reason to off him, scaring his mom. ) Besides, that would be too quick. I want him to be humiliated and poor, scorned at every turn, hungry, even. Let him do manual labor in dirty circumstances. Is there shanghai-ing anymore? No escape on a ship. heh, heh. :-) smiley with teeth? Lost my cheat sheet again

Who is the old man who was talking to Ilho at the bar/meeting? They were talking about setting their kids up on a date...
It seemed Ilho thought if he was in good with this guy Ms. Kang would be powerless.

Yes, but it sounded more like they were arranging a marriage not a date. Poor kids. His name is Mr. Paek. Ilho and Ms. Kang both have an older mentor. Wonder if they know each other? Ms. Kang also has Swallow or somebody, but has that been explained? Mr. Kim (?) said Swallow wanted to marry Ms. Kang, so I guess he's younger.

I thought Mr Paek said Swallow wanted to marry Ms Kang. Were there two meetings with old guys by Ilho?

No, Mr. Paek met with Ilho and Mr. Kim met with Ms. Kang. Didn't Ms. Kang's mentor mention a marriage proposal from Swallow? What if Swallow is Seo-young's father, ohhh, boy. SY's father mentioned Kim Chun-ki (?). It seems like Kim owned a bar that Hye-sun worked in, and she's really embarrassed about it. Hope all she did was serve drinks. I guess SY's dad was a customer? (I suppose if he were Swallow, he'd remember her for sure.)
Just read the Innocence Lost thread-a speculation that SY's father and Ms. Kang were a couple-
Now I'm wondering when she worked in the bar, was it after she left Jung-woo and had no money? Because Kim helped her get her start, I don't think she was in the bar before JW was born because then she worked as a bookkeeper.

You shouldn't judge Ilho so harshly. He may be a cruel man, but he is loving.

Sounds like he's a liitle scared of the competition....
