Park Ilho. just thinking about that name gives the creeps. i think like pharoah said in her other post ( Pharoh's post)...maybe it was ilho who made Hyesun and her family bankrupt. but was that a criminal thing to do? or was it just purely business? im sure that most of you realize that you dont become an owner of a large company by coddling people. you need to be hard and calculating... so if ilho really did make hyesun and family bankrupt...was it a criminal thing to do?

I think it's pretty clear he DID bankrupt them, purely to start his own enterprise. He confessed as much at the dinner with his mom. And just like all business sharks, his justification was, "If I hadn't done that, you would not be here eating this fine food." So effing what? So he'd have had to make his business great using actual WORK just like other people, just like the Han family had done. Yes, I think he did something criminal, but I think we don't know what it was yet.

It depends. Perhaps it was a criminal thing to do and maybe it wasn't. Noone knows yet. I think Park Ilho is a business mastermind who used his intentions the wrong way so in a way he became a criminal.
In addition, we're also fogetting something. Ms. Kang wanted her son back. Bankrupting someone's else's business to make yours powerful isn't a good idea especially if someone loses something or someone in the process.
There's still competition between them and it's because of Ms. Kang lose her son and suffer so much.
I think that what Park Ilho did will come to haunt him back and Ms. Kang has something planned for him that's devastating.

It was certainly criminal to have thugs beat up Sung-min. It should have been criminal to get him fired-would that be extortion? It was child abuse to grab his daughter and chop off her hair, altho probably not a crime at that time. I am eager to see him get punished.
I wonder how much his mother knew about his cruelties. She doesn't seem to hold him back, just chides him when it doesn't work out.

He's more of a criminal mastermind-clever and shrewd.

shrewd maybe...but clever? no....i think that hyesun is gonna get some retribution action done. i think that he thought that he was like all powerful so nothing would happen but i think he's going to regret whatever he did to the han family

He deserves it. At least he'll learn that power isn't everything. And in the end, whatever catastrophic event will happen, it'll dissapoint his entire family.

well, if you think about it in a buisiness perspective, power is pretty much everything. you need power to keep in control which in turn brings in respect and money (everything is about $$ T.T)

Oh yea...you have ultimate power so you corrupt their business and in exchange you get more power..but I guess you're right?

The trouble is, he's got power now, but he's too used to getting his own way any old way he can. It's too much to control. He should at least try to keep the people at home happy; right now, he's got too much trouble coming from too many quarters. He has spread himself too thin. Ultimately, I think he is a stupid, stupid man, too greedy for his own (and everyone else's) good.

And he's so ruthless. He has no heart. How could he hurt his daughter so much?? He's arrogant and cruel and I can't wait to see him punished! I don't think he can learn a lesson in humility any time soon. He's his mother's little prince, can do no wrong, because if he does it, it isn't wrong.

He's his mother's little prince, can do no wrong, because if he does it, it isn't wrong. That's not entirely true ginny. Allready his mother is showing discomfort with Ilho's actions. I don't know where you are right now in watching the show, but... .

You're ahead of us: Grandma is stressing out because her DIL had left home. So far, Grandma has had one episode of thinking Yeo-jin was Hye-sun. All she has let slip was the name Hye-sun, so Yeo-jin is on the trail.
