Okay, we need some discussion here. I'll do some short posts. I don't mean to start with something negative, but it's what first comes to mind, LOL.
The theme song is kind of obnoxious, isn't it. I mean, here we have mobsters, loan sharks, possible divorces, disappointed lovers, and what? "Everything's gonna be all right"? Please. I think they keyed the theme song to the young set, who are involved in lighter story lines. They concentrate on the young people in the opening credits, too--an unfortunate trend I'm noticing in the newer dramas. After all, the interesting folks here are the three (I keep thinking there are five for some reason) brothers--Doctor, Failure & Chickenman--and their family members, all of whom are an older generation (though not old), and also the yelling father and his "older" wife and mother (some of my favorite actors, btw). And what about that fascinating loan shark woman? To me, the younger set is merely an amusing side story device used to bring the older family members together in the story.

Hey, I like singing along to the theme song. I don't watch it, but I like the song whenever it comes on after Wedded Bliss.
Everything's gonna be alright. Everything's gonna be okay.

Oui, oui, La Fille Galactique, it is Piaf's famous "La Vie en Rose." A lovely friend of mine, former teacher of French and currently a translator, got married this fall at a late age and went down the aisle to the strains of an accordion playing "La Vie en Rose." Sweet!

Bo Hey, what about the title? Farewell to Sorrow? (by the way, the original title of the show seems to have been Treasure Hunt, which, in fact, is the name of the theme song) Anyway I like the song. And I just love it when the two 'young ones' are on the scene. Five brothers... well that's what I kept thinking too, and there's a reason for it, right? It must be in my subconscious. I must have seen a spoiler somewhere. I don't know how far other people are into the show... I'm just on episode 11.

There's a network or film company website that says there are 4 brothers, but they are counting the young guy who's the son of the Chickenman (or is he??....)
Or they might have said they are 4 different generations, since even the real brothers are widely separated in age.

That's a thought, Ginny.
Should I open up a spoiler thread so donilpark's subconscious doesn't zap us all, LOL?

I find the theme song to be bouncy but I agree with Bo in that it IS a little strange. We're not talking about little everyday annoyances here, but "troubles" as my gramma used to say. It's the Korean version of the old song "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" ;D

this song is cool for the show. I like it, look at all their situations no matter what happens theres a reason for it and at the end everything turns out alright, not as bad as one can expect right so lets start...

I like it, and it reassures me that the angst will end at some point, and most people will be happy.

You know which show has the best theme song though? The Diary of Three Spinsters. Why you ask? Because....
It's an ABBA song called "I do, I do, I do"

In the Golden Apple thread, Ducky was kind enough to post the theme songs. Does anyone have the for this show? Thanks.
