Well first of all I can't believe that Woojin's dad was involved in the death of Andrea's father? He told the police where Andrea's dad was hiding just so he could keep Andrea's mom. How evil is that? And now it seems like history is repeating itself, 2 friends, 1 woman, and the woman is completely and totally in love with one of them.
Okay so what exactly was Andrea going to tell Eunha after he got back from his weekend trip with his mother? Was he going to finally confess his feelings for her? I cannot believe he didn't say anything. This drives me crazy. I mean it's so obvious that he likes her, but he insists on becoming a priest. I think the only reason he is choosing that life is because he wants to run away from it all. Remember when he went to see his uncle the first time, and he was telling him that he couldn't do it. Then the uncle spilled the beans about the mother, and Andrea goes back to wanting to become a priest. Then things are okay, he's starting to get to know his mother, and he tells Eunha that he has a secret he wants to tell her. Things go wrong again, and now he wants to go to Italy. What is wrong with him? Does he think becoming a priest is going to solve everything? If he were really "called" to be a priest, I don't think he would be struggling so much.

I think Woojin's dad was beat into snitching on Andrea's dad (which is what they showed). I don't think the thought was up front in his mind to have him killed. That is why he feels guilty not just not as good as Jinsoo was. If he had the courage he would do as Woojin asked and adopt Andrea as his own. Maybe this would relieve his guilt and keep not only his family together but keep his son from becoming as bitter as he is by preserving his friendship with Andrea. This by not fighting over their Mom/mother. Enuha will be with Andrea whether in a marital way or just as the close friendship they have. Woojin just needs to accept the fact that she does not love him any bit. I think Andrea's first decision to become a priest was not a "calling" but more he felt obligated because his prayer was answered when his uncle came to "rescue" him. He really needs to do some soul searching and really talk to his uncle about his feelings. He may feel guilty about having feelings about not becoming a priest. And Alexa I agree it is convenient for him to be able to run away from his problems / true feelings.

I think Woojin's dad was beat into snitching on Andrea's dad (which is what they showed) So it was Woojin's dad who was getting beat up? I thought it was Andrea's dad. To bad I didn't tape it, or else I'd go back and look at it.

I'll have to look at my tape tonight. Chigirl, I noticed in another thread that this was your first modern drama. Welcome! This has been my favorite miniseries so far. The first time they aired LL it was so lonely, I was answering my own posts I think. It's fun to have lots more people to discuss LL with.

Everyone is so screwed up that they can't relate to each other properly, even though everyone needs something from the others.
Eunha could have made things better by saying SOMETHING nice to Woojin #2, something to let him know he's not alone even though she can't love him the way he wants her to. Or just by talking to him like a friend. But these people don't talk through their problems; they suffer privately and then go demanding that their needs be met, when maybe what they need is not what they think they need.
Andrea's weird "attack" on Eunha was like a tormented soul doing whatever he thinks his instincts are telling him; being so desperate, he was probably thinking, "The hell with being a priest, I'm going to be a man and [you know] with the woman who loves me!" whether that was the right thing to do or not, and whether that's really what he wanted to do or not.
And poor Woojin, with that terrible influence of a father making him believe that the two situations are exactly the same, as if history is repeating itself and he's doomed to be the evil one in all this. He makes me very sad with his belief that no one loves him and that he must compete with Andrea (but can't win) for everything. He's gotten himself painted into a corner with this idea that only someone else's love can save him, and he's pretty much grabbing them by the collar and shaking them as he says, "Save me!! I'm going to turn evil if you don't love me!" It's frustrating to watch.
Woo-Two shore is handsome. I think I like his looks even better here than in Jang-Geum; I'm not a fan of facial hair, though his was nice. But clean-shaven, you can see his cool jawline and that Springsteen-like mouth, kind of undershot but in a handsome way.

But clean-shaven, you can see his cool jawline and that Springsteen-like mouth, kind of undershot but in a handsome way. I totally agree that WooJin is handsome. He was in Jang-Geum? I didn't know that, but I think I might be the only person on this planet that didn't really like that drama. I mentioned in some other thread that Eunha should have at least tried to be sympathetic towards WooJin. She didn't even treat him like she's his friend. It made it even sadder when his father told him that he was the one that practically killed him. WooJin is probably now torn between the issues from the previous generation. He's keeping this secret his father has and he wants his mother and Andrea to be happy. Decisions, decisions. Talk about karma. You reap what you sow and current generation is reaping what their parents sowed and paying for their parents' sins, although it does sound kind of cliche. Sorry if I said anything that didn't make sense. I've only seen half of the episode and recording the second half as we speak.

Yes, Woojin (Ji Jin Hee) played Sir Min in "Dae Jang-geum." In case you don't recognize the name, he was DJG's love interest and eventual husband.

I think I missed that scene. O well... I'm just so upset that Woojin and Andrea's mom had to make a choice like that. It must've eaten her up inside. I could never imagine having to be put through something like that. I love the actress!
