I have adopted a new strategy: since I get home from work after the show has ended (or almost), I watch the VOD from KBS simultaneously with my recording of WOCH's broadcast, hiotting 'Pause' on the remote whenever I see something not on ch28's airing. Like the Yoo family getting ready for the picnic the other day, or Hee-joo getting drunk and telling Ki-joon she knows he slept with In-young (tonight). All the shows for the past week (at least) have had five minutes or so chopped out of each one. I think I'll be giving those Dish folks a call real soon

...or Hee-joo getting drunk and telling Ki-joon she knows he slept with In-young (tonight). ...) They chopped that! Aigu. So irresponsible. Bo

I can't believe that scene was cut out! It looks like it was a really good scene to! I saw a preview spoiler last time with Ki-joon yelling at Hee-joo, "Why did you go meet with In-young!" I guess that was HJ's way of telling KJ that she knew all about him, IY, and the cottage?

Yeah, I wondered what happened! All of a sudden it was the next day and they were talking about how Hee-joo had drunk so much. What would Korean drama writers do without rampant alcohol abuse to move the plot along?

I agree... they also use the "standing by the water" in so many places to keep the plot moving. They should have filmed this by the water, at the bar or in the car. Like the dialogue in this series, the filming locations are extremely repetitive. Its too bad either one can't be outstanding. I think it may be me, but I am getting tired of IY's "overwhelmed-with-life" walk. It is used so much. Anyone else notice that? I like Jaemin and Sun-mi. For me, they show the most range in their characters. They are the un-sung stars of this series in my humble opinion.

Amazingly enough, tonight's ep (121) was aired in its entirety. Maybe there IS hope!
But I wouldn't bet on it.

I think it may be me, but I am getting tired of IY's "overwhelmed-with-life" walk. It is used so much. Anyone else notice that? Oh, yeah, I agree 100% on both points. That walk of IY's is what all the K-drama heroines do when they're sad and upset. It drives me crazy. It goes: Hang head, dangle purse low down to your feet, walk slowly, and don't notice anyone until they're looking into your face and speaking to you from 6 inches away. I reached my breaking point on that issue with the girl in "Phoenix." That's all she ever did. And the Han River scenes--ENOUGH ALREADY. I was thinking yesterday that although IY went to the river after her talk with HJ, it could just as easily have been HJ who went to the river to think things over. I'm surprised they didn't see each other there!

Lucy.... your comment made me laugh pretty hard..... I'd like to see the whole cast on the river's edge! That would be perfect for this series.

yes they should have a common " I'm feeling so blue and i need to walk/stand by river" place. What will they do when it is cold?

I think the reason they show the Han River so much is because it's so central to the experience of living in Seoul. Sort of like Lake Michigan is to living in Chicago.
There's a scene in "April Snow" set next to the Han River, and I almost yelled it out, "Look! It's the Han River! The HAN RI-VER!" But I caught myself in time, LOL.

Regarding Han River scenes, I would like to see characters from different shows battle for prime confrontation/contemplation space. Maybe they could put up one of those number ticket dispensers, like at the deli counter. How about a DVD of "Memorable Han River Scenes Through the Years"?

Does the Han River have tides? In-young was the first to be standing IN the water. Usually they just stand on a wall.

I, too, noticed that they always seem to bring their troubles to the bar or to the river. The bar also seems to have been a gathering place for Sun-mi and In-chul who always seemed to get drunk together. Ki-joon, Hee-joo and now Jae-min drink until they're incoherent.
I can understand the waterfront because it's understood by those of us who live in Chicago. How many times have we been there seeing people sitting alone on the rocks, staring out at Lake Michigan? Maybe it's just that large bodies of water are a relief from the noise and crowds of the city. For Hee-joo, though, it was a suicide attempt. After what she's been through with KJ and her MIL, she's probably wondering what made her jump in the water.

Yeah, those scenes are pretty repetitive. I also agree that I hate IY & that walk!!!! Girl, put your head up, shoulders back & walk straight!!!

I agree she should show some backbone at least once in the movie. I'm getting tired of her moping around.
